I'm seeking Logout's last Rom.
I swear i'd downloaded it before the roms were remove to give it a try at a later date but it seems i don't have it on the drive.
Its the one where the wifi and the bluetooth co-exist and works together. Its the one where the shortcut for the landscape on the home screen actually works.
If anyone has it i'll appreicate the PM. You dont have to reply here.
Yes i know its a long shot.
Thanks guys
I have in my archive 3 Logout's ROMs, last one is 5.4.05: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zymi9m
Thanks guy, Your a life saver.
Have a blessed day.
Is this newer than baniaczek's rom?
Logout is many months older than last baniaczek's ROM. It is dated 06.2006, and OS number 5.04.05. Older Baniaczek's ROM I use has OS number of 5.04.10.

I am looking to update my rom, which one would be the best for me to use on my cingular 8125? Thanks!
Yes Please help a Newbie
It seems impossible for Newbies who want to upgrade the Wizard to actually find the latest and greatest upgrade to the ROM. Please help!
rom for wizard
why not reading some posts?
you might find the anwser some where.
good luck.
and yes i know this seems to be a bit rude however if you want to upgrade you must read first
The thing is, there isn't a "best rom"... there's only different roms. They all work and depending on your preferences they might all be considered the "best rom". Usually, the latest version is the one that has the most improvements and speed gains in reference to earlier versions but there might also be a downside in stability... try different versions and find one that suits you...
Thats the thing, I cant seem to tell whats the latest versions of the ROMs from the posts, I cant tell easily which Faria or Molski ROM is the latest and greatest. The threads with the ROMs start months ago. Admittedly I am not paging through the 50 pages of comments and questions- just looking for some sage hack guidance on what would be best for my 8125 G3.
Anything that would help improve reception and dropped calls would be greatly appreciated.
Actually come to think of it, one particular feature that I am looking for is the ablility to scroll easily through past calls using the directional pad (a la regular cell phone) versus having to hit "Call History" on the Touchpad.
Any direction would be appreciated.

Well... it's not much of a hard choice at the moment... check out the ftp, in the upload folder you'll find molski's latest. Faria's roms are no longer available... Besides molski's there's a couple of other AKU2 roms out there risidoro's for example... If you want something with a little more speed check out an AKU3 rom since it has quite the speed improvment... If you're satisfied with the rom that you're already using except for phone related issues you might want to consider upgrading the radio rom only. the latest is 2.47.11 and there's a thread that's quite active on where to find that and upgrade to it...

Did it use log in number?

If I push the green phone button, I come to a screen that shows my last phone call. Then, I simply push "down" on the directional pad and I see all my recent calls.
Does that help?
Hey All,
Im back in the game after a couple years off.
I picked up my HD today. (was considering diamond2 or even tpro2 but the HD is the same hardware in a nicer form factor and I can live with the onscreen KB)
its the BLAC120 version, ie, 850/2100 UMTS bands. so i have freedom in AU to chose my telco as well as in the USA.
Now. my question....
i see the hard spl is for blac100 and USPL doesnt seem to work on Windows 7 x64 due to the USB driver not being compatable.
So how do I flash hard spl (if one is avail) or use USPL.
Then
which ROM do you recommend? is miri's rom stable? any major issues (yes there are 600+ posts but cannot read it all).
Or is dutty's v3.4 with wm6.1 a good option?
Radio? these roms above come with the radio packaged? or just the OS? my radio isnt the 900/2100 but instead is the 850/2100.
ANy help will e greatly appreciated.....
current ROM is the Telstra bloatware version... and currently running nothing except Lotus Notes Traveler.
Cheers
JJ
USPL works with the recommended driver fix.
About Roms' i tested both , both are good depends now what you want
Miri's rom have a little more bugs , but it's very good on resources arround 35%
Dutty's rom interface old 6.1 , resources arround 40-45% , with not so many bugs
So now it's u're decision, better try both in 10 min u'll flash both
p.s. roms yes they came with radio package and other programs , you just flash
Hey mate hope I can help (and that i'm right)
I have just recently put hspl on my HD and been flashing quite a few roms.
Most roms do not come with radios, most of Dutty's do come with radios.
I have flashed Dutty's 3.4, Miri v12, MaryONE, and Lost in Asia and each one has been very good although I prefer usability of win 6.5 (New start menu, still has manilla, better finger scrolling in all menu's etc).
As far as Rom's being stable, you will find that most are more than stable enough. The issues I have had with Roms is because i installed a crappy application or something.
The only way to find a rom you like is to keep on flashing, I recommend trying miri's (6.5) to start off with, it gives the latest build (most of the time) and is rather generic. Then try Dutty's(6.1), then decide if you prefer 6.5 or 6.1, then find the roms in that version of win and flash away. It also depends on what apps you want. Start off with the premiums that come with alot of apps, then decide if you use them all or not.
My last advice, is to get the microsoft myphone and sync your data to a server (or use PIMbackup) to backup ur contacts, sms, calander etc. Make sure you test the rom first before installing a whole bunch of apps. IE: restore your data and use the phone for a bit, see if you like it etc. No use spending an hour or so putting ur stuff back on to realize you don't like something about it!
I have flashed so many versions of rom's, it gets quite addictive! Good luck
noob question?!!! wow, after over 1000 posts
anyway the only allowed comparison between ROMs is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=516190
any other "comparison" thread is cut short (locked) because almost of all the other parameters for comparison are subjective: what I like you might not, i have certain apps you have others and so on...the only real good advice u got till now is from onlinepredator:
The only way to find a rom you like is to keep on flashing

keep reading (i always start from the end) a few pages in each thread, try some and you''ll find "the one". good luck!
thanks so far. im assuming miri's ROM doesnt contain a radio.
with USPL, issue im facing is that the USB driver isnt compatable with windows 7 x64. If I can ge this to install then USPL is a breeze.
i flashed my Telstra HD via USPL with Windows 7 x64 using the old driver. Press F8 before Windows 7 boots and disable driver signing to install the old driver and flash your phone. good luck and enjoy your phone!
Noob Question from JJ Best joke today for me, welcome back JJ Black rom coming?
BEST ROM

best battery life and more stable;
p.s. i ve tried 3 another ones
Welcome Back Old Mate
Hi old mate,
I laughed my head off when I saw your message about a Noob question. I have always admired your ROMs and installed them on so many devices for myself and my friends alike (I do miss those good old days).
My simple recommendation after trying the HD since its first day of availability.
1) Use HardSPL 1.56 so you can flash from the SD card with the new SPL from HTC.
2) Skip WM 6.1 and go for WM 6.5. I keep switching between Miri's ROMs and PhamQyang's and David's. They are the best. My personal preference is Miri's so far (unless our old friend jasjamming has some wicked plans to cook a better All Black ROM

Nice to see you back!
You might like to check out Sashini

It will get your turnaround time on flashing roms down to less than 20mis and allow you to try them all.
Wiki has a lot of good info some maybe to basic for.
Which is best for you is your choice and its subjective, the reason that we (I) am closing threads like this is to keep Development clean and based on Development.
I have had a good read in the forum and I am still missing the big picture.
I currently have a generic UK from a flash I did several months ago and my phone works like a super star. However, I am very interested in updating my X1. I have tried to update the old fashioned way (se update service), but i get an error message stating 'device not recognized', or something to that effect. I am guessing this is due to the generic uk flash.
I have no problem doing the update myself, but I really need some help. Could someone either send me a link or explain step by step (like I was five years old) exactly what I need to do.
Also, I am using a new pc (vista) with WM device center 32bit already installed. So I will need any files for complete update.
Lastly, are there any other updates worth the time?
Thank you very much in advance
I had the same "device not recognised" issue in SEUS. Forever.
Are you logged in as a user? If so, log in as the administrator - when I did that it worked a treat first time!
I have the same problem
Hi there,
I have the exact same problem as fm1776 with theese only 2 differences:
1: I have never flashed my rom, it is from the first batch made bought first day of release in Sweden (where it usually comes early for Sony Ericsson)
2: My Vista is 64-bit. (Which should not matter because it´s a separate 64-bit installer, I think we can forget this)
I am Administrator so unfortunately that did not work for me, also the update service is running as admin.
My Mobile device center works perfectly and syncs my x1 flawlessly since first install.
I have read nearly every single thread on the internet related to this trying to get this worked out since early this year with no success and now decided to post.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything from the unknown device in device manager to Mobile device center including the extra driver. I have also tried all combinations of settings in the MDC regarding allowing usb-connections etc etc... I have tried 3 different cables on different USB-ports and different USB-hubs (the internal "usb-root-hubs" in the list view) and also have the exact same problem on my other computer. (Laptop running exactly same OS). No windows updates missing and antivirus has also been disabled for troubleshooting. Update service reinstalled 5 times +, sometimes all theese steps at the same time.
Please please someone help me, I work IT-support and have solved problems like this at least 20 times over the last few years even the early M600 problems. But this time, it it just out of my league. I have no idea what to do no more and it seem to work for everyone beside me and fm above - if the ordinary sync is working that is, otherwise the net is full of theese problems it seems.
My phone really needs this with its constant different exe-crashes and sometimes slow behaviour.
It would also be interesting to hear if there are more people with the exact same problem. Fully working MDC-sync but unknown device in device manager (USB-device not recognized) when trying to upgrade.
In hopes of a resolution for this otherwise great phone which I use to it´s full extent 16 hrs a day...

well you could just bypass SEUS completely and download any rom from this forum (be it a cooked one or an official one) then flash it through the Memory card method!
How can you flash if your volume down button does not work?
Just want to say thank you Jonny for your input.
My Xperia is all of a sudden running Windows Mobile 6.5 and it´s smoother than ever =)
I used the SD-card update as you suggested and it worked out the first time after some reading...

Fast ROM
If you have not tried it yet, I suggest that you try the ROM created by Smaberg and NRGZ28 Energy ROM and i bet you that you'll be amazed at how fast and beautiful their ROM's are.

Thank you for the tip, it was so many roms to choose from it was hard to make a choice.
I´m gonna try those out for sure!
{EDIT: Oh my GOD! This nrg-creation energy is the best thing I have ever seen in any technical device - EVER!!! Thanks so much for that tip Laurence! Never tried the Smaberg so no disrespect to his creation }

No problem. There's another update being tested right now and i'm sure it would be much more welcome for all of us.
I put my TD to "sleep" about a year ago because I thought there were better things around, although I liked the phone a lot.
I have a wish to start using it again for a specific purpose but find I don't have all the forum links that I used to. One thing that is bugging me at the moment is I can't seem to find a link to the Touchflo 3D cab file. Could someone also advise the best ROM to go for these days, I see from Dutty's site that it is not being developed any more....thanks.
I recommend you to test the stock rom 2.03.xxx.x first.
2.03 has been much faster than them older ROM.
Thanks Soderstrom, that's just what I did and also managed to "awaken" the Touchflo 3D. It seems to be working just fine although the wifi seems a bit weak.
You should try Clodyfa's rom - fast , clean and stable ( with me )
thanks for the input...i always used Dutty's ROM's over the years, what are the main differences would you say?
After having tried almost every custom ROM (6.5 and 6.1) with every possible combination of radio/HardSPL, i've given up experimenting with custom roms on my kaiser.
Every ROM i tried caused my kaiser to loose GSM signal randomly. Sometimes, I could see a full signal strength on the taskbar but was unable to make or recieve calls with out turning the radio off and then on or a soft reset, while at times signal would just drop.
One thing i noticed was that none of the ROMs showed my provider name correctly. Except for the stock of course.
Back to using SPB mobile shell with Sense Theme. At least the 30 dollars i spent on it doesn't seem wasted anymore.
I would like to thank all the chefs for the amazing ROMs they cooked. Af974, ahmedfikhry, stylez, josh, TPC, shifu and jjblaster are just spectacular people for dedicating so much time and enegy, that too for free. Thank you all.
Daveshaw and mskip, for providing such an amazing FAQ, jockyw2001 and cmonex for all the HARDspls, should have everyone's gratitude.
I'm sorry for wasting a thread but I had to let you guys know that all of you are my heroes.
Thread moved as not ROM development.
Sorry to hear must be something to do with device/radio as many people use customs with no adverse effects.
You may find a good day testing all radios would sort the issue?
Thx for Thx
i purchased my first tytn ii last week and after a day of connection issues (caused by outlook) i was able to unlock and flash hspl; eOS4.888.FiRe's barebones ROM; and a new radio and have not experienced any major problems so far. It might be worth giving that ROM a go as it is considered [as per the thread] the most stable 6.1 rom and also mentions a list of compatible devices; spl's; and radios.
eos ROM and i have not had any problems with signal dropping.
I have no idea what it is but this ROM even shows my operator name correctly.
Would it be too much to ask cooks to help me out with this a little? I really would like to use a 6.5 ROM.
