It worked for me! =)
(Also works for any ROM that you're trying to flash and keep receiving the 300 error!)

Alright i need a bit of help here people...
i attempted to flash my xda mini s with faria's REAL THING WM6 rom, followed instructions, it went up till 99%, i was a good boy and i didn't touch anything, then the screen said there was a problem with installing
it took me through a recovery process but it didn't really work
now my phone is stuck in the rainbow screen, i tried to flash it again anyway but it won't work, sez there is a ERROR 300 or something.
my phone is a IPL2.21, SPL 2.21 so i assume it's a G3?
i have already read thru the forums and its not of much help...
please please help me.

At the moment i have a kasier running Dutty's EXCELLENT touchflow rom ..
when i boot my phone i get a 'crappy' tmobile screen, followed by a HTC animation followed by the windows welcome screen .. then the phone boots ...
am i right in saying i need to patch the rom to remove the tmobile screen ???
i'd be happy with the HTC animation followed by the windows screen .. can i just remove the first splash??

Yes, you do need to "patch" the ROM to change the splash screens - and you can't remove one, you have to replace it with another one, which in your case would be the HTC one....
Read MrVanx's Guide on Custom Splashscreens for details of how to change it.
As always, if you're not comfortable with flashing/patching your device - in case you void your warranty etc. - then it's probably best not to!!!

i went to the WIKI were most of the HOW TO guided me to .. and all the links are dead ..
so everyone telling me to READ first .. CHECK

battery died in the middle of a hard reset . andnow it wont go past the " splash" screen ....
I can offer you the original Tmo rom, but do not have a cingular rom. If you are using it as a base rom before flashing a stock rom, I suppose the Tmo would work. I have 2.26, and 3.08.
i really dont know what i should be using .. thats why i am here .. looking for someone who can help me figure out a course of action ..

the phone is a paper weight right now .. it will boot to the " splash screen " and then sit tehre and do nothing ..
the phone is through cingular ... but i have no idea if that matters ...
Have you unlocked it per the Dr. P sticky?
If you have unlocked your phone, any base rom will do, as it is just a leap pad for a custom rom. If your device is not unlocked, I don't believe my Tmo stock rom's will help you. If you are certain your device is unlocked, I can upload my Tmo rom or point you in the direction of one here, and you flash it, then re-flash with a custom kitchen.

is there no place to get a cingular rom to reflash with ?

hey
i was following the first time flashing rom tutorial when and everything was going fine until i got to the cid/sim unlocker where after patching the radio and then doing step 3: unlock after completion my phone no longer boots and goes to a black screen
when i do a hard reset it will get through all the customization installing then shut right back down to a black screen
any help appreciated!
nevermind followed the wiki and fixed my phone

i have htc tytn2 kaiser130 and i bay it Used i see that it comes from some Company offers ...u know that they put there logo screen at star boot....(the 2nd splash screen)the screen witch show u the radio version and rom version
i wont to change this screen and i try many ways and didn't work it dosnt change !!!
some body help me .....its look like locked this option from the company to not change it so plz some one pro help

The general way is to flash a splahscreen may be good to explain what ways don't work?

thanx denco7 but its still not changed!!!???!!
the 1st splash boot changed but the 2nd splash boot wich have the radio and img version didnt changed !!!!

Are you sure you followed the guides correctly? It's worked fine for me in the past. If it really bothers you and you can't seem to get it to work then I suppose you can try flashing a ROM that comes with it's own splash screen...
