water damaged my 8125 and got an unlocked MDA G3 have successfully hit it with every rom posted on here. hands down no issues but I was only able to use my data once on custom RUU_1050 love. It had no tmobile features but i want to be on crossbow. I can load any rom no problem but my cingular data will not
work. Every ROM that has been posted works so much respect to all the vets on
here and I have hit my phone sideways it never bricked once. I just need a way to go with my connect i can load any ROM but they all have Tmobile features in them somewhere. Don't mind the t-mobile stuff just need my Cingular data to connect.
I'm stuck
i think that your asking for the settings for cingular us?
it may be in this link somewhere
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/
Cingular Data settings
Are also available on their website in the support section. It contains a picture tutorial on how to enter them.
You could also flash a cingular rom and then save off the EXT-Rom and manually add the cabs back in after flashing to the rom you wish to end up on.
Problem solved

IMPORTANT:
Additional features such as Wi-Fi and device based e-mail along with other 3rd party applications may not be compatible with the proxy settings associated with the MEdia Net profile.
If there are connection issues with e-mail and/or Wi-Fi, configuring and using the My ISP profile as displayed below may resolve connectivity issues.
Configuring the Cingular 8125 to use My ISP will disable MEdia Net (WAP) web pages when My ISP is used for connectivity. However, regular Internet (HTML) web page browsing will function as normal.
Configuring the Cingular 8125 to bypass the Cingular proxy server:
From the "Start" menu select Settings.
Tap the Connections tab, select the Connections icon.
Select the Advanced Tab.
Tap Select Networks.
Select My ISP from the dropdown and tap Edit.
With Cingular GPRS selected tap Edit.
Verify the following setting and press Next:
Enter a name for the connection: Cingular GPRS
Select a modem:Cellular Line (GPRS)
In the "Access point name" field enter wap.cingular and select Next.
Verify the following profile settings then tap Advanced:
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Domain: Blank
Verify the following settings and tap ok:
Use server assigned IP address: Selected

Hi,
I have just purchased a web browsing bolt on for my O2 pay and go account. When I tried to get settings from O2 I was told by them that they have no settings for HTC mobiles - in fact that they didn't support any HTC models. Is this true or are any of you using 02 P&G to access web and email on the Diamond?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard
Its true! I cannot receive and send MMS and there is no GPRS conection.
O2 suxx! I'm going to change the operator.
Tesco Mobile do not have any problems with HTC
I am running my Diamond fine with GPRS etc on O2.
Also there are several O2 bundle deals for Diamonds at Expansys (http://www.expansys.com/nc.aspx?i=163250#o2).
When I set up my Diamond it offered an auto-configure settings after first booting which included O2 even though I bought this as standalone sim and contract free from play.com.
ACtually - not sure it will work with Pay & Go - didn't see that bit.
O2 connection settings are here BTW:
http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
I am with o2 on simplicity, I also have the internet bolt on, didnt have to confirgure anything, it downloaded my settings (auto config) and havent had to do a thing. Upgraded firmware to Elite 3 and exactly the same. GPRS EDGE HSDPA all work fine and dandy. I'm in the uk and loving the combination.
Is there any way to run the auto-configure again without a hard reset?
Thanks,
Richard

They "don't support" HTC because they sell them under XDA name And o2 in Germany already got XDA Diamond.
Sorry to bump this, just got a Diamond, Im on o2 PAYG (UK)
Tried loads of the settings being banded about online.....
I can access o2's website on the Diamond but nothing else.
Im seriously considering changing provider, but.... I have £75 credit and its been my number for years, I like the extras I get with o2 (texts, rewards etc.)
Has anyone on UK o2 PAYG got it working?
Regards
After weeks of messing I managed to get a friends PDA working on O2 UK PAYG GPRS full internet not just O2 crap its all in the proxy setting i will get them off him and post later.

There is a way to fool the server into connecting to the web via the WAP APN. Possibly O2 have 'fixed' the workaround, possibly not. It may be worth a try! Be aware that this was published for a previous version of WM, but the settings ought to be similar still:
To setup the XDA on PAYG for internet:
Go to Settings, click on the Connections tab & click on "Connections"
In the first dropdown, "When needed, automatically connect to The Internet using these settings:" select "New..." and give the connection a name (Mine's O2 Wap)
On the "Modem" tab, click on "New..." to create a new modem specification. Give the specification a name (Mine's O2 PAYG GPRS). For the Modem selection, use Cellular Line (GPRS) and set the Baud Rate to 57600 and click on Next.
For the Access point name, use payandgo.o2.co.uk and click Finish
Next, click on the Proxy Settings, and put a check in both the boxes & click Advanced.
Use the following server addresses & ports:
HTTP: 193.113.200.195 port 8080
WAP: 193.113.200.195 port 8080
SOCKS: 193.113.200.195 port 1080 (not sure if this works as I've never had to use it)
OK your way back out to the today screen and launch Internet Explorer
When launching any website for the first time, you'll be asked for a username, password and domain.
Username: payandgo
Password: password
Domain: <empty>
Cheers Tim, that'd be fantastic.
Johnston4111 - Ill give that a shot shortly - menues are pretty similar.

Looks like it worked, you can set the username and password in Proxy settings on the Diamond Menaing no need to enter it at first connection.
This will use my bolt on. correct?
BTW, THANKS!!!!
As far as i know it does.
If not you'll soon notice your credit evaporating.

yep it just uses your bolt-on my mates been using these settings for 3 months now with no problems.
Tim
Yeah, bolt on.
Are you lot able to use Remote Desktop? I cant use Live services, Youtube or RD.
This close to taking a contract out with another provider that suport this phone
XDA Ignito is listed as a future handset on O2 UK intranet - all I can say.
So yes, we do support it.
I've got a Diamond and can use picture messages and the internet as well as Live Messenger and Youtube. I don't use RD but I presume it'll work.
I'm on a staff simplicity tariff with the unlimited web bolt on and it all works fine.
Care to share details? do you have different logins?
Youtube loads but videos dont play, I get a synchronisation failed error on Windows Live.
Connection name: mobile web
Modem: Celluar Line (GPRS, 3G)
Access point name: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: O2web
Password: password
Those work for me, create a new connection in Connection settings. The auto setup tool did it all for me though.
That works for you as you are on a contract.
You won't get wlm etc... on the wap work around on pay as you go. Not sure about remote desktop but i guess it's all related to the proxy.
Remote desktop and messenger both use secure connections so how about trying entering 193.113.200.195 in the WAP Secure section in proxy and try it the following ports numbers 8080,9201,443.
Its only a guess but worth a try I think

Info:
- HTC Diamond US Version 3G/Quadband
- AT&T Sim card w/ active data plan
Problem:
- Cannot connect to internet. Exchange server does not sync.
When I try to go to say google within Opera or IE it does not connect. Opera gives me this red screen saying unable to access network.
I am however able to use the phone and send/receive text messages.
Troubleshooting:
- Called HTC, no help
- Called AT&T, don't support the phone, no help
- Best Buy sells the phone so I went in there, no help.
- Went to an AT&T store, no help
- Search function within this forum didnt reveal anything.
- I did take my SIM and try it in another HTC Diamond and same thing. So I am ruling out the phone being the problem.
Note: this SIM card works like a charm in my Samsung Blackjack2 and my Jailbroken iPhone.
PLEASE somebody help me!!!
I am pretty tech savvy and have been searching the net for 2 days.
If you need more info, please ask. Could be a data connection settings that i need to manual input?
~ Phillip
Help us out. What are your internet settings? Did you run the setup wizard for AT&T?
I inserted the SIM, followed instructions, set it up to autmatically detect AT&T settings.
I sets up the connection as Media Net which i believe is right.
I actually just had my first advance. I was able to get internet by removing the proxy server from the Media Net connection.
So internet is solved. Just trying to figure out how to sync with my exchange. Which i have done with other phone a dozen times with no problems (so i know my user name, pass, domain and stuff are accurate)
What else do you need to know.
Every setting
I read this in another thread:
I tried the connection wizard and couldn't get online. I deleted the connection and manually setup a connection called Cingular GPRS:
Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
wap.cingular
User: [email protected]
PW: CINGULAR1
That's it. No domain or advanced server settings.
that enabled internet for me. not able to sync my exchange server still. small chance it could be something small i am doing wrong.
Where can I locate "edit account setup"???
taken from this -
For e-mail, you have to edit the "Advanced Server Settings" under "Edit Account Setup". There is a drop down box "Network Connection." I believe it defaults to "The Internet" which never works for me. You can either change it to Media Net or a custom connection if you make your own.
YouTube doesn't work with the Media Net connection because of the proxy. You can either disable the proxy in the Media Net connection or create a new connection that has the proxy disabled. I usually do option 2 and create a "No Proxy" connection that is identical to Media Net except no proxy. (I like to leave the Media Net w/Proxy just in case I need to access some AT&T thing.) I then set all apps to use the "No Proxy" connection (mail, MMS, etc)
Problem Solved.
Solution:
Once you insert the SIM and follow the setup. NOTE: the setup provided for Media Net is not correct. Follow my steps in post #5 by deleting the Media net and making your own.
Once this is done, then you will have access to the internet. Then you can setup your email exchange.
If you setup your email exchange first, it will not work. Follow steps in Post #5 then go back and erase your mail account. Start a new account and bingo.
Hope this helps some newbies like me.

Does anyone know what are the connection settings for an unlocked AT&T Tilt to work with TMobile settings? I have searched far and throughout the web and have not been able to get what I need to connect to the internet. Below is what I have/need to connect.
I have the 9.99 plan with Tmobile, which I do not know if it is compatible with what I want to do, this can be changed at any time so let me know if it needs to be changed.
What do I populate in the following fields?
1. Entering a Name for the Connection (I assumed it can be anything)
2. Select a Modem (Cellular Line, (3G, GPRS).
3. It ask me to enter a number or an APN.
4. Username, Password, Domain?
Under the Advance Tab
TCP/ID
It allows to use the servers-assigned IP address or to use a specific IP address
Servers
Server assigned addresses? Specific Server Addresses?
It also has 3 boxes to check which I leave alone.
Or if there is another way please let me know. Oh and I configured my MMS already in case you are curious.
Thank you.
Really? there is a cab that does all of this for you.

Hi, I'm on the same network and on the Text and Web simplicity tariff. Here is what I did. The Windows mobile version I'm using is wm6.5.x, with the start menu at the bottom left.
To enter the settings first click "start", then click "setting", then "connections".
First click manage existing connections, and delete the modem connection specified in here. (Not required but advised) As this is configured by the device and the setting are incorrect.
Next go back a step. Then click add new modem connection.
“Select a Modem” should be set for “Cellular Line (GPRS)” or “Cellular Line GPRS/3G”
Now click “Next” to start inputting the operator specific settings.
Name the connection: O2 (PAYG)
Access Point Name (PAYG): payandgo.o2.co.uk
Username (PAYG) payandgo
Password: password
Tap “Advanced” and make sure both tabs have selected “Use Server Assigned IP Address”
Tap “Finish” then Tap “Proxy Settings”.
Select “This network connects to the Internet” and “ This network connects to a proxy server…”
Tap “Advanced” then WAP. Server address is: 193.113.200.195: Port 9201. Tap OK
Tap Socks: Server is 193.113.200.195: Port 1080. Type: Socks 4.
I can confirm these settings work as I use the internet everyday on my Touch Pro. Hope this helps. If you struggle pm me.
