Hi all,
after downgrading the ROM from RUU_BREE100_1.34.251.1_1.38.00.10_HTCEUR_SHIP (not good for me) to RUU_BREE100_1.13.251.2_1.06.00.10_QtekEUR_Ship_R3original.exe I cannot boot anymore.
Trying to troubleshoot the bootloader I used mtty and after the command
Cmd>info 8
I obtain:
Block 0x0(0) is Reversed block
Block 0x1(1) is Reversed block
Block 0x2(2) is Reversed block
Block 0x3(3) is Reversed block
Block 0x4(4) is Reversed block
Block 0x5(5) is Reversed block
Block 0x6(6) is Reversed block
Block 0x7(7) is Reversed block
Block 0x8(8) BAD BLOCK!!!
Any suggestion? Any command to repair?
Many thanks!!
cant you upgrade again to the newest version
I tried
but unfortunately isn't possible. I tried by microSD as well but the error message is "not allowed" as if I was trying to upgrade with a different vendor ROM

Hi,
Is there a way of setting a password for SD Card access? But I guess someone could just transfer the Card to another machine and the pass wouldn't work? How about data encryption methods?
I just lost my phone but whoever found it called one of my 'In Case of Emergency' numbers and was able to return it (after I had O2 block the SIM).
I was thinking this would be more useful than a password for the whole phone - but then maybe a contact number taped to the battery inside the case might also work if the phone were lost?
Cheers for any thoughts

If you bought it through a carrier I believe they are able to block the IMEI for you, so that the phone essentially becomes useless to any other person trying to activate it...
Try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&feature=more_from_developer
Try SamsungDive, it can locate and might display phonenumber, even SIM card is changed. But unsure, if it works, if u havent used it before the phone was lost and it only works if remote control is checked on the phone.

Hey guys,
Was trying to extract my unlock code from block device mmcblk0p6. I've rooted my phone and have ssh, busybox but when I check that block nothing makes sense. So my question is is that block now encrypted or something ? Or should I be looking elsewhere for UN_lock_code ?
Cheers.

If its anything like the Xperia P then finding that unlock code is like impossible or so i've heard...Contact your carrier maybe? they might unlock it for like £15
True, I have never heard of any free way to sim unlock apart from speaking VERY nicely to your carrier and they are unlikely to do it for free...
Just a heads up, if you took your phone out on contract with O2 (UK) they will give you the unlock code for free, providing you are still in contract.

Yeah, with O2 in the UK it is free of charge. I have requested a SIM unlock code with my previous phone - an arc - which took 3 days for them to respond. With my Xperia T they took a week to respond and I got my unlock code last week.
A word of caution, you only get 5 attempts to enter a wrong unlock code so don't **** around and try random numbers like 0000 or something like that. After that, the phone is SIM locked permanently and you're screwed. With previous phones you could unlock the bootloader, using the SETOOL, which also wipes the simlock but with the Xperia T I dont think you can do the SETOOL thing no more...
Have a look here: http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI...ef(User):str(Mobile),CASE=ref(unlockmymobile)
...or go directly here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form
The email you then receive looks like this:
Dear O2 Customer,
Thank you for your email.
The code you require for IMEI No - 123456789012345 is as follows:-
1234567890123456
For Unlatching Sony Ericsson Devices;
- Power on device with a non O2 UK SIM card
- The device shows: "SIM network unlock PIN"
- Enter the unlock code (NCK) for the network lock and press "Unlock"
- Device will pop up a message "Network unlock successful"
Kind Regards

I found this service running but I can not find anything about it, so I'm interested in having a bad function?

Nothing strange : The Open Mobile API is designed to allow application providers to access and utilise the secure element within an internet-connected mobile device, providing secure two-factor authentication to enable the secure delivery of a host of NFC, payment and identity services.
Your phone is tapped
Its all bull**** your phone is tapped
So one says one and another says different, now who stands for theyr words, first one ?
I recently acquired an s21 ultra. was told it was unlocked, which it seems to be, but I don't know the method of unlock. it detects that there is a sim but it reads it as unknown and when I try a manual connect to the appropriate network it won't do it. I've tried with a few different sim cards all with the same carrier, and each time its the same - it knows there is a sim card, but doesn't read any of the info on the sim, and it doesn't connect to a network when I try a manual connect.
I've also tried resetting the device, putting it into and out of airplane mode, cleaning the sim card and tray, etc. pretty much anything you'd do off the bat.
I've bought/sold/traded/repaired a lot of phones over the years, but have never had this issue before. i would appreciate any help.
