I have a MDA Vario III running WM6 configured with push-mail from my Exchange server. Trouble is when ever ActiveSync is running it prevents the device from going in to standby mode. Closing ActiveSync enables the phone to go in to standby mode. I have also noticed that it in ActiveSync states it is connected to the Exchange server where as on my old Vasio II it was showing when it last did a sync with the server.
Is this by design or have I misconfigured something or have I found a bug in the T-Mobile image of WM6 the Vario III ships with? Has anybody any similar experienses?
Even I am facing the same problem. Please help me??

i don´t have a MDA Vario, so i can´t try out.
I have the German MDA Vario but running QTEK 9100 Firmware on it .... seems it really needs the german rom to work/install properly. can anyone extract the cab file from the pocketpc client ? seems it cant launch the installer or setup program .... perhaps anyone has an idea on how to fix this ??
I too would really love info on this. We use a Blackberry Enterprise Server at work and I would be in heaven if I could use my HTC Wizard with it. Anyone??

I don't want this fu**ing Berry Bull****, they should release a new AKU2 Rom!!!
The Vario BB client that you can download from T-Mobile Germany :
- Has a German installer
- but is English software
- Works on HTC Wizard and Universal devices, regardless of OEM (IMate, TMO, Qtek)
- But only on AKU1, not on AKU2
- and requires radio 1.12 (Wizard) or 1.06 (Universal)
- has T-Mobile settings coded into DLL files so cannot be used with other providers
(I have tested all variations)
I've installed this, I have VF account, it installs ok gets a PIN briefly gets IP address then disconnects, I have pushed the policies from our corporate BES Server, all downloaded ok, just need to check with our BES Manager to see if all setup on their end correctly, it WONT connect and stay connected, I can only assume this is a policy/encryption key issue.
What would be the best ROM for me to try this with VodaPhone BB Service...?
My actual Version is:
1.5.4.2 WWE
11/8/05
Radio 01.12.10
4.0.13.23
It connects quickly to the Blackberry Server but then disconnects.
I also am missing one of the Services (I have ALP,CHIME)
A colleague with a XDA 2 goy his working and he has 3 Services.
I have exactly the same question - which ROM would give us the #'s listed in the previous post?
The issue is the base ROM, I had to flash to a Tmobile Rom for the Tmobile Blackberry to work properly, I use Vodafone as the carrier but the corporate BES server as the Policy Push service. Vodafone will not let you set up a non VF device on their service hence having to use the Corporate BES server for email etc.. I dont need the VF service anyway
I tried the German Blackberry Connect software on both of my devices. One of them is a Qtek 9100 and the other is a Qtek 9090 (WM2003). I have a BES and a Blackberry 8700 for work.
I saw the same problem everyone else is seeing, in which the client will try to connect and then will disconnect and stay disconnected. I checked out the BES administrator and I confirmed that both clients have communicated with the BES because I was able to see each PIN associated with the Blackberry user in the admin tool.
I concur that the network settings for the client are hardcoded with Tmobile and probably will not work with any other carrier.
Anyone figure out a way to hack the client to set the network settings? Has anyone successfully registered their Blackberry Connect client using Cingular?
Hi all
I installed the blackberry connect client 4.0.0.97 on my HTC Kaiser.
Everytime i do a soft-reset of my device all emails in the blackberry account are duplicated ...so i have all email 6 times and i am afraid of the next soft reset.
I disabled the blackberry connection and did a softreset...even then the emails were duplicated--so the problem comes from the device ...not from the online synchronization

Have you tried downloading the .100 version from shogunmark's thread? The .97 version seemed to have some issues.
Also, the software is still running in the background, even if you have it suspended. So it could still be the software causing it.
.100 hangs up the phone when I hit "OK" button inside email if I'm on a call. I'm going backwards first to .97 today or tomorrow I will let you know if I have problems. If I do I'm going to probably go to .84
Are you syncing mail with Activesync too???
That version works fine for me.
No I am not using active sync as all emails, contact, task, calendar, notes...
where can i download the vesion .100 ? ?
Hi members,
I'm really stuck with a strange problem. I can't sync remotely with my mail server using ActiveSync.
I mean, the device syncs perfectly with my home PC, but when I program it to sync with my ISP's Exchange server it doesn't work.
The process stops and the device gives a "Repllog.exe error".
This problem started since I upgraded my HTC TyTn II to WM 6.1.
Any thoughts?
I'd be very much obliged for any thoughts that you might have on this subject...
Regards,
Ricardo

I think there is a bug in repllog.exe on WM 6.1 - it crashes overnight, every night, on my Touch Diamond2.
Cheers, Rob.
Same here, every night, on a Touch Diamond (2.03 ROM.)
Doesn't seem to do any damage or freeze the phone, just plain annoying.

It is improved in WM6.5 but still not 100% perfect. Also there's a bug in the schedule feature. I've just been to Egypt on holiday and most definately changed my ActiveSync to "Manual" for both peak time and off-peak as I didn't a) want to run up £7.50/MB roaming or b) be bother by work emails.
But my work emails sychronised somehow when I landed back in the UK. I'm hoping this was when it returned to UK 3G (please!!) but it shouldn't have done it as it's still set to manual and I definately didn't click sync. Phone was off in the overhead lockers.
Cheers, Rob.

Hello,
I have been given (kindly) due to a dying SE750i a xdaII
I have set up the docking station and downloaded Activesync from Microsoft however when I plug in my xdaII into the dock the sync window appears with the little window informing me it is retrieving my settings with a spinning green graphic.
It has been doing this for 20 minutes now. Initially I thought it had crashed so I removed the phone and got the message telling me it cannot sync as the phone is off, so I placed the phone on again and it started to sync again.
It is charging fine,
The Activesync I downloaded is Version 4.5 from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...ulas/eula_activesync45_1033.mspx?ProductID=76
The xdaII software seems to be ROM version
3.50b.40CS (ROM date 01/13/07)
Can anyone help me get it to connect so I can start to make the phone mine.
Managed to Sync however still think my firmware is out of date, any clues on that?
Also noticed my connection settings for MMS and also mobile web seem to be not there.
Currently using O2 can anyone help on this?
Thank you
Two things:
You have posted you have a XDA II, but this is the forum for the XDA IIi, small difference in name but big difference in what it will do. The IIi, aka Alpine, has WiFi and is stuck on WM2003, the XDA II, aka Himalaya, doesn't and isn't.
If you search on this forum elsewhere you should find a CAB file with the settings for O2, they may even be on the O2 site itself.
