i wanted to know if there was a way to lower the volume when im dialing the number. its as if my speaker is about to blow when im trying to dial a number. anyone know the registry edit?
Never did get a sloution for this, except by covering the speaker with my finger
Would be interested to know if there's reg hack, then we could pass it to the Kaiser Tweak guys!
There may be 3 ways to improve your situation.
The first would be to change from long tones to short tones. This wont reduce the volume, but if you have it set on long, it will shorten the amount of time the tone is emitted.
(Phone>Menu>Options> then change keypad to short tones)
The secdond would be to do the same as above, but to change it to "Nothing"
The third would be to turn t vibrate using KaiserTweak (a great app by the genii of xda-dev.com) where there is a setting to change the phone keypresses from tones to vibrate (KaiserTweak: Call > Dialer Button Behaviour"
u can also click on the speaker icon and bring down the volume for the mobile icon. but this will reduce the overall volume of ur device.

i dont have this option on my kaiser tweak
make sure u update your xml file, provided by nikagl
i have the one from dec. 9 and even on his post under calls it doesnt show a Call > Dialer Button Behaviour"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349009
thats the latest, and i just checked there is no dialer button behavior.
Only solution i can think of is that you would need to turn down the system volume, since it is a system sound. However, you can try searching for the dialer sounds, modifying them with a sound editor(decrease the amp, or something like that.) so you can keep your system volume up, while dialer doesnt deafen you.

If you looks through the Kaiser Tweaks thread, it's in there. Not in the actual xml thread, but in the one where you post questions. You could try searching vibrating keypad and variations of the like. He actually made an xml file for it, and it's posted in that thread, he just didn't include it in the official release.
I tried it out, and it seemed to work fine. Like a dummy, I stopped using it, because I thought it would no longer work with automated systems (like checking voicemail etc.) but then I realized the sound I hear has nothing to do with the info transmitted by the phone lol, so I may have to give it another try.
i found the right XML file with more tweaks than i had...for those that want it here it is
Lovely - I hadn't noticed the Tweak update - All quiet now!
I can't adjust the volume with the scroll wheel during a call. I am sure it worked in the past. Any help? Thanks.
Do you can adjust system volume by the scroll? Please let me know beacuse i can't make anything by the scroll...
you probly have the large title bar thingy installed, that seems to mess up the volume control. Simple solution is to remove it. I was never a big fan anyway. I am sure someone must have worked out a solution by now. I cant be arsed to go looking for it though as i dont use it.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Rob,

Why get out a Large title bar. My tytn2 is a orange poland.
I know this is probably the dumbest question ever, but I had WM 6.1 and could change the volume by simply pressing the little volume icon on the top bar..now I upgraded my phone with a rom to WM 6.5 and whenever i click that icon it just goes to notifications and theres nowhere to change the volume profile! and I seriously googled the issue like nobodys business, I don't know if this is normal for 6.5 or what! the only way i can change the volume profile is using touchflo, going to settings etc. and that sometimes takes way too long when i want a quick shortcut to change the volume asap! and if i don't want to use touchflo, theres no way to change it!
so, basically, if any of you kind people can let me know...is it normal first off for WM6.5 to not let you click the volume icon on the top start menu?
and if it is a bug..do you know how i could fix it? is it possibly a rom bug? should i flash a new rom?

SetVolume
Here's a nice and handy volume changing tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395695
You can assign it to one of the hardware buttons (I personally have it assigned to the top voice command button as I don't use voice dialling) and it makes changing volume easier than ever.
Guys,
I hate it everytime there is a call, i have to slide the green button to receive the call.
I really really would prefer, just hitting green button to accept call - So how can i change the same ?
I just want to change this, so i guess installing a Rom is out of question as dont want anything else to get changed..
Next, The default "Active Application" widget is ugly - Anything you can suggest to replace this ?
I believe you can set the physical home button to answer calls.

I'm never happy with that. I guess I am worried that the call will be answered in my pocket, or when I remove it from my belt case. Perhaps that is more likely with the power button, however. May I will man-up and give it a try
BTW the setting is in Accessibility -> call answering/ending

Use HD caller id from market, it allows various modes of answering, plus you get full screen caller picture as a bonus!

I saw all the links but the only thing that i found was a tool to disable the increasing ringtone when someone calls you. If you find something else tell me. Thats a very big problem. Thanks.
