Hi!
Just found it on the website of O2 germany.
I apologize, if this had been posted before. Couldnt find it.

Hmmm. I wonder if that will come out in the UK. I'd like it to, but O2 might not because they have the iPhone...
I would probably get a HTC branded device anyway. I am wondering if the O2 version maybe lacks that ugly triangle shaped backside...we'll see soon, I guess.
Yes it will come out in the UK. All five mobile operators will have it including voda and 3.

but are there any dates???????
AFAIK July for all of them in the UK
It says June 2008 on the O2 germany site.
I hope it's June. I may well save myself some money by getting an O2 XDA Diamond.
BTW it says TomTom 7 is included with map of a german city of your choice.
How does it do with these o2 brandings on the xda diamond (or more to say, generally the xda from o2) ?
Is there only an o2 theme inside the touchflo3D (like the shot in the 1. post), or anything else ?
Did anybody knows that maybe ?
orange uk say june/july

touchflow is the same, just the color is blue instead of black/gray.

What did you think, maybe the colors changeable to htc original black ?
Black looks a bit nicer to me ^^

The O2 version has a flat non-slip surface on the back. Classier looking than the diamonds, imho.

I prefer the other, 'diamond-like', back. Well now I'm definitely not getting an O2 XDA Diamond...
Views and thoughts on the good and bad points on the Orange HTC Diamond and the TMO Compact IV?
Anyone know if Orange UK litter the GUI with their branding or is the Diamond still a cool black interface ?
As neither of these phones are out, nobody knows right?
Sure, but someone must have seen them by now ;-)
Looks like Monday for the release on orange from what I read elsewhere, fingers crossed it is and they haven't mucked it up too much.
Hi , can anyone let me know how to get hold of some new wallpapaers for my MDA compact 1v. Not too keen on the T-Mobile one on there. Like the HTC black one but not sure if that would work on mine. Any tips would be appreciated
Hi all,
Please excuse my ignorance, I have searched this site for this question, but not found it... Sorry if it has been posted previously.
I am looking to buy a HTC Touch Diamond, but am I worth getting the Orange version (original?) or the O2 version (XDA Ignito)? The only difference I can see is the back cover and some additional software which the great people on here have far superior anyway ... Am I missing something?
Also, are the older versions (see site at bottom) still available? - the ones that have 128MB RAM instead of the advertised 192MB?
I'm looking to get this handset from a cash-back site so expect that they may be using old stocks... Is there any way to tell without opening the box (so it can be returned without question under the distance selling regulations)?
Thanks for any help.

I work for O2 and i've used our demo version of the diamond quite a lot and I also own the Orange one.
I bought the Orange one off ebay instead of waiting for the O2 branded one and I have to say the build quality on the O2 seems far more solid. The buttons feel sort of.. firmer.. and the back is much nicer than the faceted one.
I wish i'd waited for the XDA version to be honest =']
Hi Sherby,
Thanks for your comment I can't see how there could be a difference with the buttons or build quality, I thought that would have been something HTC created not modified by O2... I appreciate the back cover as it just slides off... Will have to pay Orange and O2 another visit Thanks!

Also.. the O2 version is slightly more glossy around the edges than the Orange one which is just matte.

Ahh ok. Don't think I'm that bothered about the glossy or matte though, could put up with either
Any idea about finding the hardware version?
Thanks again

I have the o2 version, simply because I didn't favour the original diamond shaped back. Device information page attached...
Thanks for that GanjaBlood - I was considering the same, but if you can just remove and replace the back facia then it isn't really an issue... They'll be on fleebay soon!
The Ignito battery cover won't fit the Diamond. The corners are different for starters.

That is something I didn't know... Thanks Ruffage.
[EDIT] Sorry, just seen the 'accessories' forum... Please ignore the question below, hopefully it's answered there [/EDIT]
Does anyone know if the replacement batteries that O2 are apparently selling will fit into the Orange TD?
Thanks for everyone's responses.

After months I decided again to go with a Windows Mobile based PDA as a primary phone. The N95 just did not do the job, so, I thought the TyTN II still might be the best choice for me. The old Hermes was the last PDA I owned.
I bought mine directly from NewEgg here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875502007
Surprisingly, I already had seen on the pictures that the item does not have a front camera for video phones. Well, this service is not yet supported in the US, so, it just was not important to me.
Now, after I received the item today, another strange thing:
The keyboard does not look like on the real TyTN II but it matches the keyboard of the AT&T Tilt.
The box and all accessoirs match the HTC version rather than the AT&T Tilt version. IMEI and Serial# of the device match the label on the box. It further says on the box HTC TyTN II P4551. ROM version is WM 6.1.
So, my question:
What version do I really have? What do I have to care about in case I want to flash it? Would I have to go with AT&T flashing guides rather than with guides for the Kaiser?
Just trying to sort out the differences - sorry in case this has been asked already before.

Enter your bootloader and read the top line "KAISXXX" (where XXX is 100,110,120 or 130), then look under "Specs of some Kaiser variants" on the HTC Kaiser wiki page.

Dave
Well,
I guess this is the AT&T variant then. It says clearly KAIS100 and the keyboard is definitely from an AT&T Tilt (blue FN key and silver number block).
I just wonder why HTC would change the front plate (AT&T Logo) back to HTC, then flashes it wit the generic HTC software and packs everything nicely in a HTC box?
see if you can register it at the htc e-club because the At&t branded device's can't.

Yeah,
I was thinking of that but I am planing to return / exchange for the MWg Zinc II. The lack of video drivers for the TyTN II is quite annoying already by just surfing the web! I am not sure if a downgrade to WM 6.0 would fix that?
However,
attached 2 pictures of my TyTN II Hybrid. Sorry for the bad quality but it is still clear enough. Strangely, even the box shows this device with the AT&T Keypad! It almost looks to me as if HTC had an over-production of AT&T Tilts and now they throw the left-overs on the market as P4551 (which really seems to be the AT&T with HTC Logo and box).

I just now checked and found that you can register for At&t tilt also in HTC club.
The tytyn has a slower processor and uses an inferior gps chipset.
It does have a little more memory but to date I have not had a prob with my 256/64 config. For some reason the data on my zinc is innacurate (pdadb). It says the zinc has a 2.5 mm audio jack (proprietary it is).
Video is easy with core player 1.2.5 b 4506.
