cannot connect bubble msg when switching on - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Does anyone know if there is a tweak or something to prevent (or delay) this message when switching the device on. i get it because i have 'as they arrive' on my hotmail live account and the message is there because i haven't put my pin in - BUT... the warning is so repetative and irritating that it prevents me from entering my lock code and sim code in good time. like the chicken and the egg.....

does anyone else have this annoying problem?

Pls HELP! The stubborn voice message alert!

Hi All,
Firstly, Merry Xmas to everyone.
I have suffered by the voice messages alert after I upgraded my BA to Xploed AKU3.5. After I upgraded, my BA pop up a message alert for "You have 1 or more new voice messages.". After the alert pop up, I can choose "voicemail" or "dismiss", I tried to press voicemail, it dial up to my voice mail server but I've got no mail, I tried to press dismiss, but the alert logo don't disappear, it show on the top bar also. I have no way to "destroy" the logo!!! The voice mail logo and alert will pop up when I reboot my BA and will not go out! The logo and the alert will appear even I've NOT insert a SIM to my BA. I have tried to flash the BA and doing a new upgrade ROM process, it seems normal after I upgraded, but the situation will appear after a few day! It happened eventuality.
Can anyone help me to solve it? It really painful to me.
This isn't a problem with the phone, it's the network; I've had it on various phones. Whenever you listen to voicemail, make sure that you do not hang-up on the call until the icon disappears.
To get rid of it, leave yourself a short message then retreive it.

Only way i could get rid of the non-voicemail, voicemail notification was to do this as well, not phone problem but provider problem.
It's not a phone problem? But this happened even I've not insert a SIM to the phone!

MDA Compact IV: MyFaves registration SMS

Dear developers and experienced people,
I have got a problem with the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV. When switched on, the phone always tries to send a registration SMS to the number 72059. With a non-T-Mobile SIM this results in an error status message. I don't know, whether this SMS attempt costs me money.
Is there any possibility (via registry etc.) to prevent the phone from sending this SMS WITHOUT flashing a new, unbranded ROM?
I wonder if noone else has noticed this already...
Thank you!
I havent' had this at all and i have an MDA C4, is this with a new ROM install or anything?

I just tested with a non German SIM, I don't get the error with that. I guess the error (short number not available) is an O2-specific error message, other providers don't react at all. But I guess the phone nevertheless attempts to call/message this T-Mobile internal number.
Edit: no new ROM, MDA just out of the box.
Maybe the phone does not try to send an SMS to the MyFaves number, but it is some kind of SIM Toolkit function?
Perhaps this behaviour would stop if I let it connect once with a T-Mobile SIM?
I have news again about this topic. The number this message is sent to can be found in the registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\My5\SMSC]
"SendNumber"="72059"
If I change this number to an empty value or if I delete the whole My5 tree from the registry, I don't get these errors anymore. Nevertheless I don't know whether for example in roaming I am billed for SMS attempts to an empty number.
Could anyone find out whether MyFaves fully stops sending messages if these keys are deleted or if it only sends messages to empty numbers in this case?
I did a lot of testing during the last few days. My results were kind of disturbing:
When in a home network, the MDA sends a silent SMS to the MyFaves number. Of course this number does not exist in most networks, but you also do not get an error message about it.
But when used in roaming, these SMS are charged. So everytime you switch on your mobile phone, you are charged a SMS from the foreign roaming network, even if the message has no valid target.
The registry key with the number can be changed, so I changed it to my own number. The resulting SMS did not show any meaningful plain text, but some binary looking glyphs instead. Since the message has got oversize, I was actually charged for 2 SMS!
The only way to circumvent this behaviour is to delete (or rename) the My5 tree from the registry. When switched on, the phone adds the tree again, but with empty values. Since there is no number to send to, the SMS is suppressed and does not cost any money in roaming.
Conclusion:
This is not a good behaviour for a SIM lock free phone. If someone does not know this, he/she has a bill of about 15 Euro/month just for switching the phone on every day. Since the phone does this quietly, most people would complain with their provider rather than finding the phone guilty.

Help with AT&T annoying USSD notification

Does anyone know how to turn off the USSD balloon :
"The last transaction cost 0.00 USD. Your account balance..."
without turning off you MediaNet connection?
If it's not possible to turn if off, the two things I like to do are:
- make sure it doesn't beep every time
- prevent it from making you "leaving" the running applications
I tried to create the regkey: SuppressUSSD = DWORD(1).
It worked except that I can't use medianet anymore with it.

[Q] How can I disable "after call summary" ?

These days I’m on vacation using a pre-paid connection. I actaved a data connection on it and started getting these usage summary notifications every few seconds (e.g: Data charge is xx.xx, your available balance is yy.yy, valid until dd/mm/yy). Its really annoying because if I keep the phone locked for like an hour I am presented with 50 odd such messages that I have to press OK before being able to use the phone . When I called the technical support, I was told that it is a phone feature usually called “After call summary” or “call summary”, that can be turned off from the phone itself. Since they don’t carry any android devices he couldn’t help me where to find it. I looked around myself, but couldn’t find anything . Can someone help me with this ? Thanks.
Guess no one knows about this feature or how to disable it?
some one help me with this too..
Hi. I don't think it's a device feature. And if it's a "call summary" then it shouldn't inform about data plan. Try searching for a disabling code on your operator's website.
I have a "call summary" enabled - it pops up after a call, and I can disable/enable it only with a USSD code defined by operator.
Remove Call Summary Screen on Verizon Galaxy 8
I was getting an annoying call summary screen on my Galaxy 8s. It appeared to have the green android messaging icon in the call summary and splash screen. I use the Verizon massaging app. I therefore disabled the android messaging app and the issue disappeared. If you have another android, see if you can replace the android messaging app prior to disabling it.

how do I disable this message?

Everytime I send a message on my phone, I get this message (as seen on the picture). Its from my carrier stating the balance on my prepaid sim.
Is there any way to disable it? its really annoying
