I leave my phone plugged in all night by my bed. At 10:00 p.m., ActiveSync goes to "off-peak" so that emails do not come in during the night.
At 6:00 a.m., ActiveSync returns to peak time and it checks for and receives new messages.
When I first open Outlook, I get the hourglass spinning in the middle and it never goes away until I exit Outlook or soft reset.
I'm guessing something is corrupted in my ActiveSync as it happens everyday and has nothing to do with any other applications.
Anyone experience this type of behavior?

For some reason, starting this morning (have had tilt for couple months) the data is disconnecting and reconnecting all day.
It generally just stays connected all day. I think this is sucking battery life down.
Tilt flashed with HTC ROM
Any ideas ?
Thanks !
UPDATE : it's doing it every 30 seconds, by my count.
UPDATE #2 : it was emoze doing it, turned off "auto fix connection" and it's back to normal. not sure how that got turned on.
For some reason when I charge my phone the green full charge LED stays on even after I unplug it and my phone constantly says full charge when i know its not. The same thing happens when i connect to ActiveSync even after I disconnect it from my computer it stays connected on my phone.
Can anyone help me with this?
Wow No One?
patience
I'd wait a week. Some people only visit the forum weekly.
Oh, Alright.
I had a problem with my sons 8525 where it showed a full charge all the time (however I don't remember if the green light was on or not). The only was I was able to correct it was to Hard Reset the device and its been fine ever since.

Does it actually connect and sync with your computer before it "stays connected"? I had the same problem with mine connecting to my work computer, but my phone would ever actually connect to the computer - Activesync would just hang and tell me "Connecting" but not progress. Then when I disconnected, it kept the little swirling Sync arrows at the top of the phone screen, and I had to soft-reset to get it to stop and connect to the internet etc. I tried deleting the partnership, reinstalling activesync on the computer, and nothing could fix it. I think a hard reset would work, but that sucks. So, to make a long story short, I have no advice for you, but I hope there's a fix other than a hard reset.
Yea it connects to activesync and everything but when im done i have to connect it to my wall charger for it to disconnect, which kinda makes me think it has something to do with the usb port. Also i've done hard resets already but to no prevail. The battery status also keeps changing from charging to normal quite rapidly.
I have my htc hd7 for 4 days now and i had no problem with the phone so far except a few hours back, when i left my wifi on (i usually turn it off after using) while i continued with my work on my computer. Suddenly the phone vibrated and restarted itself in front of me, i picked up the phone and felt that the lower back of the phone was quite hot.. Turning off the wifi seems to have allowed the phone to cool and no random restarts thereafter.. Anyone encountered the same?
I used wifi for 4 hours (after that the batt was empty) on my hd7 and it was only a little warm and it didn't reset it self .
No such problem here
No problems here. I leave Wi-Fi on all the time when at home, for many hours sometimes, with no overheating issues or random resets.
Ok.. Must be something else that I did.. Anyway I noticed that the phone has notification LED light for missed called but not for unread text messages. Any1 knows how to enable it?
No problem here either. Use wifi as soon as I get it in range.
Mine does this to. It gets super hot at the bottom especially when wifi is on. Im guess that is where the CPU is or the WiFi chipset. About time to exchange.

I noticed this twice. I plugged it to an ac outlet and it began to sync with Zune on PC. I was adding a bunch of new playlists and after a while I caught it restarting. At first i was excited; i thought T-Mobile had sent out an update or something. picked up the phone to embrace the new goodies and then felt the warmth of the phone.
I turn off wifi now to prevent Zune sync unless I need it.
I've had my Note 8 since launch and have been putting up with random restarts every few days (even happened mid call a couple of times) so I took the plunge and factory reset it a week ago. I purposefully only restored the most essential apps to rule out any of them as the cause.
Over the last week, I've had a few restarts and noticed that they occur when the phone is coming in/out of sleep e.g.:
Taking the phone off wireless charge, the screen tries to turn on but it just turns the phone off.
Putting the phone on wireless charge, the phone goes to display the wireless charging indication halo thing then just shuts down.
When I've had a notification come through when I'm out and try to turn the screen on, then it restarts.
These have only happened once each time so I can't repeatedly try any of these out to see if I've found the cause. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or know how to narrow down what the cause could be?
