Does anyone know how to fix this? It occurs with either the installaton of Pimp my Black or the JasJamming utils. However even if I uninstall these, the font problem remains. I have also installed other Comm Managers and still remains.
hrmmm. well pimp my black is just for hermes as I understand it.
you are in the kaiser forum.
Pimp my black
Yes installed by mistake (now uninstalled) was looking to install the Utils - they work on the Kaiser and are installed.
However whether I uninstall or not the problem remains.
have you made a sprite backup? that's always a good start. if you did, you could always restore.
Sprite
Yes but I have to re-install all my programs. And really want to have these progs. Searching, searching here, I remember this problem on the Hermes. Hope I find the answer. Might try the Black Comm Manager. That has no fonts only icons.
It's a font installed on your device... look at \Windows\Fonts... it should be empty... delete what's in it... soft-reset and you problem is gone.
You know I have had this problem since using the new Comm manager (around Pimp my black for Hermes). While the look of my Comm Manager was different it was the same issue (since of course it was a different font), a font that was being installed in \Windows\Fonts\.
Come to find out, my old TuMa Games Pack (from my old SX-66) was installing a font.
I am so happy that I finally found out the issue!

I don't know what happened, but suddenly the words on my comm manager or bigger than they usually are and looks deformed. It's kinda hard to read now.
I've tried using downloading a different one.. but ended up with the same result.. Did this ever happen to anyone?
if the text is messed up it maybe because another app installed a font over the top of an exisiting one. What other programs have you install recently? I know I've seen one of the weather today plugins that screwed up the font in comm man.

I've installed a lot of programs recently.. I did install a weather program with today plugin.. do you think that might be the cause of it?
Guys, I have an odd problem - can someone advise?
I just upgraded to the new Dutch 6.1 ROM and also installed Opera 9.5. Firstly, I have to say that these two moves have completely transformed the Kaiser - the new Opera is spot on. (only small problem I can see is the TCMPM no longer works)
Problem is that my Remove Programs list now contains just Resco Backup and Oper 9.5. I have tons of now useless software on the device, but it isn't showing up. I guess this might be because I reinstalled everything via Resco Backup, rather than installing the individual files. Is there a way to refresh the list of installed programs so that I can go through uninstalling them?
You will need to reinstall every one of the programs first then uninstall...
This might be a pain but its safest way!
good thinking - clumsy, but it works. thanks
Hi
I have searched and found no answers to this particular question, I have recieved an o2 Ignito today as an upgrade for my partner, I have sucsessfully installed the solid black windows theme and the original HTC Touchflo, I have now found that the Comm Manager is still o2 blue, I have tried downloading the new updated comm manager which works but it is still blue. I basically want it to be the standard grey colours as on the original diamond but I am out of ideas, I don't really want to flash the ignito with a ROM from the forum as I don't really want to void the warranty. Putting the serial number into HTC Support has let me register the phone ok but It says the ROM upgrade is not compatible so that was a dead end.
If anyone has any info or solutions I would be most gratefull
Thanks
Richard
All files for this are located in the windows folder.
Maybe some guys from the forum can upload the files from a htc rom.
Just put the files in your windows folder an overwrite the old ones.

Had my Ignito last week and am still trying to get back up to speed with WM devices (2/3 years since my wizard). How did you make everything black? And do i NEED to be updating the comm manager?
Thanks.
Matt.
To get the windows top and bottom bars black I found a WM6 theme called soloblack.tsk once added to the windows directory it can be seen in the today settings and once applied it changes bars to solid black, the downside is the large start menu was still blue!! Changing the start menu to small icons seemed to fix this but I think this is again dependent on the theme you install so the files required were not there.
The comm manager seems to be theme dependant too, I found the original HTC Black theme but this didn't have data for the comm manager so it stayed the o2 blue colours, I tried another theme and it worked with the comm manager but the sound settings menu was looking horrid so at the moment I have taken it back to full o2 blue until i can find a full HTC black theme with the comm manager included etc.
Hope this makes sense.
Rich
I installed WM7 titanium theme with CChanger.
I sarted editing the menus that appeared on the desktop of the phone and for some reason the clock and messages disappeared.
I tried with Cchanger activating those menus without sucess.
I then uninstalled and the problem remained, even with the original titanium.
Is there a problem with .cpr file (I think this is the name)?
How can I solve this?
Thanks in advance.
PS - I can't use pointsense from pointUI either....

Yes, on the omnia it's called "SPlugins_480x800.cpr"
See here for an easier installation:

It didn't work. The clock doesn't appear either.
The problem must be the registry of the old CChanger. How can I do a reset of the "today" plugins in titanium?
Hi all, i flashed today Diamond_Lover's ROM, i used this ROM before and i never had this strange problem, but today, after some use, i got to the Comm Manager and i get it like this:
What can i do? There's any .cab to reinstall it?
Not only items are "moved" around, but also the style seems to be the older one (the ROM, by default, has this Comm Manager )...
Any help?
