tried to order Opera mobile from the Opera homepage and they ask to enter at 15 number IMEI, but my TytnII has a 17 digit IMEI .. any idea as the form only allow 15 numbers.
Yea you just leave the last two digits off

Okay.. so ive been buffling around this issue for hrs now and havent figured out a solution.. yet.. maybe with ure help ill be able to solve my problem..
so here goes..
After hours trying, ive figured out that you cant have 2 mobiles phones assigned to 1 contact, thats ok, lets say we assign it to work. (it bothers me a bit, but i doubt there is any solution to this)
So lets say we assigned mob 1 to mobile field and mob 2 to work field. When i get in the contact screen, i can only send a txt message to the mobile. not any other field. I've also tried assigning the 2nd phone to "car","other",etc etc, but none seems to work.
any help appreciated..
bump? plz needdvice
I think Microsoft call this particular aspect of Windows mobile an 'Undocumented Feature'!!
No way around it that I know of. Seems a bit silly nowadays as many people have more than one mobile (Work mobile and personal mobile for example) but the contacts fields have hardly been updated in windows mobile since PPC 2000!
Maybe pocket informant or a similar third party app will help??
ive tried using iContant and another 3rd party, but it seems the "core" contact fields cannot be edited.. i.e add extra fields etc..
Second mobile number
EDIT: 6.1 DEFAULTS TO THE MOBILE NUMBER FOR TEXT SENDING. YOU OVERCOME THIS BY CREATING A SECOND CONTACT WITH THE SAME DETAILS, BUT WITH DIFFERENT ID (E.G. JOE-UK MOBILE).
Microsoft might suck sometiimes, but it is still my overall favourite for functionality...
so basically the only workaround is having a duplicate contact with the 2nd mobile phone..?
lately when I text somoene, I will get an error message 439 telling me to use a 10 digit mobile number. problem is, I AM using a 10 digit mobile number. what do I do?
Why till now HTC still have this issue that contact won't recognise if you just dial the number instead of the full format you save on your contacts. On Samsung and iPhone don't have this issue. Can HTC solve this?
Please refer to the attached picture for more details.

OK.. Example, i saved a contact under phone TEST - +601234567890 , So when i went into phone dialing, i enter 1234567890 the number without country code, it won't recognize or display contact TEST, unless i have to enter +601234567890 full format as what i have saved then it will show.

it works for me eg my contact is saved a +312012345678 and when I dial 02012345 it will show my contact, as far as I know this has worked since my desire days. HTC dialer has always been the best for me, being able to search by first, last name and by number in short and long format (iirc the sgs2 couldn't search by last name)...
(edit, I don't know where you are from but is 12345678 a valid number to dial from a mobile phone, we always have to dial an area code first)

I am from Malaysia. The number on the screenshot are just example. Our country code are +6 , so my number format are +601112333345. I just tested it again and also not working. Another number format are friends from Brunei, number format +673 8888888 as +673 country code. Also not showing if i key 8888888, unless 6738888888.
Is there any way that when I'm searching a contact from the dialer the number of the mobile phone of the contact will be shown first and not the home number?
I have rom 4.2.1
Thank you
Hi,
does not work when the mobile number is the first entry in the current contact ???
One way could be, that you create 2 separate entries in the contacts - one for mobile and one for home ...
i know that`s not the finest way , but i think it would work to differ the to numbers ....:good:
I mean that in for example one contact i save 3 number: mobile, home and work.
the first number that shown is the home than the work and the last is the mobile.
Thanks
