Download the UI-TWEAK and the two themes (included in the ZIP)
install the UI Tweak,
1. run it
2. from the selection menu choose SYSCOLOER Changer
3. Choose Tools->IMport -> Select the Black/Grey Theme.
4. Tools->Apply
5. Tools -> Reset
6. Voila a completly Black Themed Device SWEET! :0

Of course it's totally undoable, since i've put the Default Theme of WM06. you can simply import it when u'll get tired of a black theme.

Take a better look, the entire Backround of the Progarms is black , and the Whole device turn's black.

Nadavi, I'm not sure I understand how you undo it once you want to go back to the default theme. Are you saying that you need to import the default theme onto your device the same way you import the black theme?

Yes, the default theme is included in the zip as well.

I love the black theme! It looks awesome. However, some things are now unreadable. On my Tilt, my inbox is washed out, the message headers for text messages are gray on gray, editing outlook contacts is black on black, and highlighted tabs (as mentioned in a previous post) are white on white. Then there are other little problems like the dropdown arrow for select boxes being black on black. That's all I found before I switched back to my original colors.
It's probably a matter of tweaking the individual colors, but that's tough if you're not sure what does what because you have to soft reset to see what changed.
Does anyone have a black theme that is tweaked so that everything is legible? If you could export it and post it, I'd love to get my hands on that.
Nadavi, I'm tweaking your black theme to be HTC default gray, but I need a little help. What component controls the color of the selected tabs in the setting module? The text color is white and the tab is white. Thanks for your help.

Hi guys, you can always download the most current version of UI Tweaker from my site. Glad to see the interest here...it's motivating me to work on the next minor update (WVGA and VGA support) soon. Also got some bugs to fix in TdyScheme Changer.
P.S: If anybody have some nice themes exported from any of the "sub-programs" in UI Tweaker and wish to share with the rest, you can send me an e-mail and I can probably post the files you exported from the applications on my site (of course with credits).
I installed it on Storage Card but for some reason the phone start in safe mode, tried to uninstall it but the phone still start in safe mode, what happened, help would be great.

This is BETA 2 of my first theme, Ghost Black. For the time being, it is RC30 JF1.41 only, but I am planning on doing RC8 and ADP1 once I redo this for RC31.
As stated above, this is a BETA, and with that, you are responsible for any/all problems you encounter trying this theme. I have tested it myself, and have had no issues, but that doesn't mean you won't.

Thanks to everyone for all their input and suggestions so far. Even though I haven't implemented everything yet, I will in the upcoming days/weeks.

*Due to the black icons, they look really bad on the open slider. I have experimented in V2 with the Music and Browser icons, giving them a white glow (which makes them easier to see against dark backgrounds). If all goes well, I will convert the rest of the icons to have the whiteglow

Just installed on my g1 gotta say it looks amazing as is just wondering if you can post that wallpaper you used because without it it dosent go well with a dark background
I found out that the current version you have of the theme, when I went to music the song icon is still green I guess you forgot to put it in there its just a heads up

I found 2 problems with the theme, in the music section the song icon is still green and when you pop out the keyboard in landscape the icon to pull the menu out has vanished. I will report more bugs when I find them in this post so check back.

I kept getting corrupt downloads while doing so. I found it works better to download directly through the browser. Hope this helps!

I think that you could fix this by simply making the background black and the icons white,but I don't know if this would take away from the theme as a whole...
Just installed it on mine. looks really nice, especially for a work in progress. A few minor details to change:
- Make the GSM signal bars look like the WiFi signal bars.
- Make new Data Status icons (G,E,3G) that fit in with the skin.
- The icons in the launcher are too difficult to see with a black background. If the background was a few shades lighter it might be easier to see.
Agreed on the issues posted so far. The big thing I came across is when I installed it my browser uninstalled. I use the auto rotate browser build which could've been why. When I put the browser back on though it still uses the old icon

a bug report...when trying to set a background from pictures this theme doesnt work with it....the picture viewer begins to act buggy.

Update Report
Well ive added a Red Comm Manager. Its a beta because when you select something the highlighter doesnt go away. Everything works but if you select more than one thing it just looks a little odd...i might have to switch to a different comm manager to fix the issue..hmmm
To change the options in the Comm Manager use "Advanced Config". Open it > Menu > More Settings > Comm Manager >
EDIT: Well ive been fiddling with the registry settings today and i have found where to change the text on the secondary screen in the dialers, but ive tried two colours and they both turned out blue (wtf?). Ill have to read up on my hexadecimals
EDIT: I did it! I managed to get the text to black. Its a slightly brighter red than the dialer because i dont know how broad the colour range is. Ill upload soon.
EDIT: Well im now uploading Beta 4 of the Dialer. Ive skinned the buttons on the secondary screen when you press down on them. They are now white instead of black to match the other buttons. Ive also moved the red bar down a few pixels so the Mobile Carrier fits on the grey space and doesnt hang over.
EDIT: Im going to try skinning a SIP now. In the same Red and Lime (and black). I dont know how its going to turn out. It might be too difficult to see in all but the perfect conditions. But we will see how it goes....Ill post up some screenshots of the Alphas if i have any luck doing it.
EDIT: Ive updated the Lime Dialer to the new secondary screen. So now they are both 95% skinned. It seems you cant finely tune the colours for the text. Perhaps they only have a 256 colour palette? Im going to leave them how they are for now, while i try fixing the Comm Manager issue. The SIP might take a bit longer than expected. I have crappy wireless internet at the moment and downloading anything is a major pain.
EDIT: *Sigh* why must everythg be so difficult. I tried skinning the default HTC keyboard and all was going well until i loaded it on my Polaris. It doesnt change any graphics, even though i loaded a cab on with the new ones. It leads me to suspect that the CAB is not overwriting the existing files, but simply creating a copy...thus not getting used. I need to work out how to delete the original keyboard files so the only ones in use are the ones i install with the cab. ARGH!

White Out is a full sense and cht 2.0 theme. Ive edited almost every img in sense.
The sms wdgt is black so you will need to use cht editor to change the messeging wdgt font color. The color code I use for this is 200,200,200 and 150,150,150

This theme has became more than just a theme! Ive desided to go all out and WHITE OUT EVERYTHING. If it can be skinned it will be. So I am changing the name to "PROJECT WHITE OUT"

you have to us cht editor and go to the winget settings and change the font color in the messeging widget to 255,255,255 for pure white.

Yes the slider is inclueded in the theme.
I have only tested it on Tmartins photon rom for the TP2. It should work on 6.5 as well. If anyone tries it on a 6.5 rom let me know if it works.

There isnt a tsk theme it is only a sense and cht 2.0 theme. I did add the lock screen wallpaper so it should set to it after install. The wallpaper for cht is in the my wallpapers folder.
I plain on adding some more stuff like icons and maybe a .tsk theme as well. That is if the theme does well and people want to see more.
Im working on some icons right now. should be finished in the next hour or two.

I take it no one is having any issues with my theme. That is good.
I have found a few things that I wasnt happy with. One being the sms wdgt. Two being the email account selector and a few other small things. I have cleaned up these things and zipped em up. Extract the files in the .zip attached to windows and over ride all then soft reset. Screen shots of the sms wdgt and email acc selector are in the 2nd post. Also thread name changed. A lot more to come.
I need to know what you like and dont like about the theme. That way when Its time for an update I can take in all of your likes and dislikes to consideration. Thanks guys.

Yeah the only theme ive seen out right now is a whole rom flashed over which i guess is fine but then you cant really go back unless you nandroid your way back lol too bad you cant just theme on/off

Well I think I'm going to wait for a true CM build, which will probably have a black mms background but no matter what they will both have black backgrounds I finished my boot animation, its a throw back to the old hero builds I ran on my g1

So there was a slight problem with the camera app so I pulled the link and will upload a new version tonight hopefully
Things I have noticed that I am dissapointed with:
-Lock screen tabs have become disscolored!
-The android green activity bar is a little to saturated (it looks different from the screen shots to the actual phone)
-Browser tabs seem lighter than exected, its almost as if after running them through the 9 patch they lighten up alot never had this happen before....But I will fix it

For all whom might be interested in such a thing I found this in the nexus one forums. Credit goes to one stick.e. First (optional), if you want to save your settings (thanks decalex) using root explorer go to /data/data/com.handcent.nextsms/shared_prefs and copy the com.handcent.nextsms_preferences.xml to a safe location on your computer or sd card. Secondly, remove all things handcent on your phone incl. Font packs, plugins, etc. Install as a regular app. Lastly, restore the .xml you copied earlier (if you did it, duh) then change the theme to hero and the style to black and reboot. Now you'll have a sweet handcent with blacked out popups and the message screen shows through to your (live maybe?) Wallpaper.

I was gonna dive into the data/data folder to see if there was an easy way to restore my previous settings (like ringtones assigned to contacts, bubble colors, font sizes.. etc etc). Anyone able to restore their old setup yet while retaining this new version? I'll edit post if/when I figure it out .. fwiw

Sweet.. this worked-- for anyone has super customized their handcent settings (like I have). Someone could probably automate this with a batch, but it's not rocket science:
I use Root Explorer
BEFORE uninstalling your current version, go to:
data/data/com.handcent.nextsms/shared_prefs/
Copy: com.handcentnextsms_preferences.xml to your SDCard.
Uninstall your current handcent version, install the new version.
Copy the backed up xml from your SDCard back to data/data/com.handcent.nextsms/shared_prefs/
Then reboot (which will fix permissions, etc). All seems to work fine though and saved all of my settings.

How do you get the live wallpaper in the background? I only see image and color as options for the background. Thanks!
Edit: I see that you just see your live wallpaper in the settings if you have one set. I thought you guys meant that you could choose a live wallpaper as the background for both the conversation and chat backgrounds...
ya-- it basically just makes the window background transparent, so you see through to the other side.
