[QVGA] Adderz Theme Sets: M2d, Splash, Keyboard, 3G Dialers, Comm Managers etc - Windows Mobile Themes

This is a compilation of the various things i have either skinned myself of have collected over the time ive been on XDA. I hope people find them as useful as i do.
Update Report
Well ive added a Red Comm Manager. Its a beta because when you select something the highlighter doesnt go away. Everything works but if you select more than one thing it just looks a little odd...i might have to switch to a different comm manager to fix the issue..hmmm
To change the options in the Comm Manager use "Advanced Config". Open it > Menu > More Settings > Comm Manager >
EDIT: Well ive been fiddling with the registry settings today and i have found where to change the text on the secondary screen in the dialers, but ive tried two colours and they both turned out blue (wtf?). Ill have to read up on my hexadecimals
EDIT: I did it! I managed to get the text to black. Its a slightly brighter red than the dialer because i dont know how broad the colour range is. Ill upload soon.
EDIT: Well im now uploading Beta 4 of the Dialer. Ive skinned the buttons on the secondary screen when you press down on them. They are now white instead of black to match the other buttons. Ive also moved the red bar down a few pixels so the Mobile Carrier fits on the grey space and doesnt hang over.
EDIT: Im going to try skinning a SIP now. In the same Red and Lime (and black). I dont know how its going to turn out. It might be too difficult to see in all but the perfect conditions. But we will see how it goes....Ill post up some screenshots of the Alphas if i have any luck doing it.
EDIT: Ive updated the Lime Dialer to the new secondary screen. So now they are both 95% skinned. It seems you cant finely tune the colours for the text. Perhaps they only have a 256 colour palette? Im going to leave them how they are for now, while i try fixing the Comm Manager issue. The SIP might take a bit longer than expected. I have crappy wireless internet at the moment and downloading anything is a major pain.
EDIT: *Sigh* why must everythg be so difficult. I tried skinning the default HTC keyboard and all was going well until i loaded it on my Polaris. It doesnt change any graphics, even though i loaded a cab on with the new ones. It leads me to suspect that the CAB is not overwriting the existing files, but simply creating a copy...thus not getting used. I need to work out how to delete the original keyboard files so the only ones in use are the ones i install with the cab. ARGH!

Video Dialers
Well i found this video dialer and decided to skin it. They are up to BETA 4 which means the primary and secondary screens are both skinned but there are still little bits a bobs that need to be done, but its 95% complete. If you have another dialer installed, uninstall that one first then install this one.

Now the following to screens replace the second or third screens you see when you boot your device. I cant remember which one exactly. These match the "Red" and "Lime" themes up above. These also wernt done by me but im uploading them again because i think they fit in perfectly.
Simply rename them welcomehead.96 then copy them to the Windows folder, you may need to use TotalCommander or Resco File Explorer to copy it over if File Explorer wont let you.

Of course it's totally undoable, since i've put the Default Theme of WM06. you can simply import it when u'll get tired of a black theme.
Enjoy,

There is a picture.
Take a better look, the entire Backround of the Progarms is black , and the Whole device turn's black.
This is nice!

Looks great! I'd love to try it but all fileshare websites are blocked here at work. Would someone be kind enough to post this file on xda's ftp site or to a non-sharing site?
Nadavi, I'm not sure I understand how you undo it once you want to go back to the default theme. Are you saying that you need to import the default theme onto your device the same way you import the black theme?

Yes, the default theme is included in the zip as well.
Thanks Nadavi. This is really cool.
P.S. Be sure to export your current theme before using this. The default theme that was included was not the one that was on my Tilt.
verry nice!
Thats it? .
Nice App, the theme needs a little tweaking thou. The highlighted tabs under SYSTEM, are the same color as the text.

Looks pretty awesome. Does this change the text and background for things like messaging as well? And is the uninstall clean?

yes and yes.
cant read the system messages.. that kinda sucks. thanks anyways.
I love the black theme! It looks awesome. However, some things are now unreadable. On my Tilt, my inbox is washed out, the message headers for text messages are gray on gray, editing outlook contacts is black on black, and highlighted tabs (as mentioned in a previous post) are white on white. Then there are other little problems like the dropdown arrow for select boxes being black on black. That's all I found before I switched back to my original colors.
It's probably a matter of tweaking the individual colors, but that's tough if you're not sure what does what because you have to soft reset to see what changed.
Does anyone have a black theme that is tweaked so that everything is legible? If you could export it and post it, I'd love to get my hands on that.
Nadavi, I'm tweaking your black theme to be HTC default gray, but I need a little help. What component controls the color of the selected tabs in the setting module? The text color is white and the tab is white. Thanks for your help.

Hopefully we'll see a fully usable black/gray theme soon in one place or another.
Hi guys, you can always download the most current version of UI Tweaker from my site. Glad to see the interest here...it's motivating me to work on the next minor update (WVGA and VGA support) soon. Also got some bugs to fix in TdyScheme Changer.
P.S: If anybody have some nice themes exported from any of the "sub-programs" in UI Tweaker and wish to share with the rest, you can send me an e-mail and I can probably post the files you exported from the applications on my site (of course with credits).
I installed it on Storage Card but for some reason the phone start in safe mode, tried to uninstall it but the phone still start in safe mode, what happened, help would be great.

Change the Enlarged Menu Highlight Color and the main system one too!!

Ok so this was my contribution to the thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442286
I figured I would post it to see what others get out of this. It works perfectly for me.
Thanks to mouki_9 for pointing out the Syscolor registry link.
I noticed that the green color's hex was 5A A2 00. Going off of that I took a gander in the Syscolor link (HKLM\system\GWE\syscolor) Note: you have to click on GWE then it is a registry link named Syscolor inside of it.
Edit it and look for the line with 5A A2 00, I switched it to 00 66 B3 which is a decent colored blue. After a soft reset, Viola!!
Note this does not change the highlight color of the large menu, I am still working on that. It does however change the highlight of everything else, including the landscape start menu highlight color.
Ok It is not an exact science yet, but I have the jist of what is happening.
This is for the Raphael by the way, incase its different (dont know still a newb).
Anyways. So far what I have figured out for the Enlarged Main menu, is that it does not go off of the reversed number of your hex code, which is what some of us thought. It seems like instead, it goes off the INVERTED COLOR.
I tested this by going into photoshop, going to the color pallete and putting in the color 0066B3 which is a very nice blue (not too dark not too light) imho.
I then filled the layer with that color then went to Image>Adjustments>invert. Or CTRL I. This turned it into a bright orange with the hex of FF994C. I tried that hex (the one for orange) in the phone... and guess what!!!
It turned BLUE. However it did NOT turn the same blue as 0066B3 is, instead it turned to a lighter blue.
All and all I am still tweaking with this to see if we can get this down to a science of finding what color we want precisely. For right now I am happy with a lighter blue then no blue at all..
WOOO.. Ok so, it takes a little bit of work but you can get almost your exact color (based off of how good your eyes are).
Step 1. Go to this website http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html and find out what color you want your menu to be.
Step 2. Using PHM Registry Editor Navigate to HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu.
Step 3. Scroll down to ManilaCustomHLDown and ManilaCustomHLUp Edit them with the color you want. Make sure you select Hexidecimal as the value. This will give you the opposite color.
Step 4. If you dont have it download My Mobiler for your phone. This is a great program that lets you view your phone on your computer!!! Linky: http://blownfuze.org/ (Thank you Doug you rock) Scroll down the page its under the Basic apps and Tweaks section.
Step 5. Go back to the hex-color website, with My Mobiler up and running close out of the registry editor if you havent allready. click on your start menu. Now the opposite color should be seen. (this is were good eyes come in) Try to match up the color of the menu, with the hex-color website as best as possible. Once your finished jot down that hex for the color.
Step 6. Go back into the Registry editor and put in this new Hex. The opposite color should come up... which... (depending again on your eyes) Should be damn close to the color you were looking for.
Another way to do this is to take a screen capture with My Mobiler, and use a image editing program with a color picker. I have photoshop, I believe GIMP has this feature. Hopefully others can chime in on free programs that have it. Pick the color and get the hex for it.
And yet another way, if a programer could make a color picker for windows mobile. I cant remember the name of it, but there is one floating around for regular windows that allows you to pick any color anywere, whether on a website or your desktop, if something like this could be made into a cab for WinMo getting the colors would be a cake walk.
Hope this helps somebody out!!
Merc.

[SKN] M2D Theme for HTC Home 2.1 [Updated 6/13/09]

Alright so I had to go back to HTC Home after running TF2D on my Titan for a while because it was just too slow and left me low on memory. So I decided to change some of the graphics to keep the M2D look on my phone since pretty much everything else is M2D themed. So if anybody else wants to use it here it is:
Final Version 6/13/09

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Installation:
- Install HTC Home cab file first if you have not done so already, soft reset.
- Go to settings, today, items tab and uncheck HTC Home.
- Copy files to "\HTCHome" folder.
- Go back into settings and check it back on.
- Soft reset if there are any issues.
For the look shown you will need poorlyduck's M2D tsk file found here:
Thread | Download
Also this looks best with glossy black bars (just makes the grays darker):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366521
This is brilliant for HTC Home users. Thank you!
You're welcome, thanks for the feedback.
Nice and clean looks, made me consider to include HTCHome and the Cube again on my Artemis Rom, i just hate Manila 2d.
Cheers.
oo that does look great..ill be adding this to my htchome along with the diamond themed flip clock for a complete low mem tf3d look (currently running htchome on my TP )
Thanks alot!
Are you using Empex's clock? I've been looking for a better alternative but unfortunately it seems there's nothing that can make it look quite like it does on the diamond. Ipaso's is close too but the digits are separate. :-/
I'm still tweaking this so maybe if I make any noticeable changes I'll update with some extras. Thanks again for the feedback.
I'm not positive on which clock i'm using but the numbers are seperate..looks great tho still..I could attach the files if you wanted..
Do you know a way to make the background around the clock 100% transparent?
what to do with the m2d tsk file? will i have to put in htc home folder?
also, how do i get the 6 tabs? i only have 4. i have the polaris, wm 6.0

You mean like without the faded parts in the background? Yes, I supposed you'd just have to erase those parts in Photoshop.

You can place it anywhere on the device. Personally I keep my tsk files in the "Windows" folder since that's where the stock tsk files are stored. Just copy it to your device and execute it via file explorer, should take you to today screen. Do the same with Glossy black bars if you wish to use it.
To get 6 tabs, go to phone settings -> Today -> HTC Home tab, make sure everything is checked.
EDIT: Will upload an update tonight, still no clock but I'm working on one. I just changed the Music tab icons, the missed call icon, X button, and the alarm icon.

I don't have the HTC Home tab under Today. I only have Appearance and Items. I only have the original 4 tabs in Home.
You probably don't have the same version I have. I'll post the cab I used later today.
I got the cab here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409491
I just finished my Diamond-style clock for this skin. It's based on Empex's clock but I used different graphics for higher quality look and so it would match the M2D background. Will upload soon.
Also I changed the music tab progress bar to match the M2D one exactly. Here are screens:
Unfortunately the clock only looks perfect in portrait mode. In landscape some rectangles show in blue areas.
updated skin not working
i finally got the 6-tab htc home! but when i installed your updated graphics skin, it won't work. it used to work before the update when i only had 4 tabs. i tried unchecking and checking HTC Home, soft-resetting but no help.
edit: i uninstalled the 6-tab home and back to 4 tabs. now, your updated graphics skin works. maybe the 6-tab home that i got is not compatible with yours?
I found there were some problems with my graphics because I had to re-install all my programs and the pack didn't work right for me.
New file is up now, lots of updated graphics. Try reinstalling Home, download the new file in my first post, then apply.
I also added the cab file I use now. Try that one.
great! with the new files, everything is now working as it should be including the 6-tabs. thanks you!
No problem! Glad some people liked it.
Love it ! .... But
Was wondering if we could get just a few different colors ? like
Red or Black ? Talking about the bar underneath the clock and also the highlight color when you press a tab .
Find me the tsk file you want it to go with and I'll match it the best I can.
like this skin...nice work!

Plain White Background Version:
Blue M2D Version: NEW!
This works with the newest version (1.25) !
Works on ALL RESOLUTIONS!
It simply replaces the default theme named "clear" in your settings. All you have to do is download the attached ZIP, unzip it, and overwrite the images in the following path of your device:
/Program Files/VITO/SMS-Chat/skins/bin
Make sure you are not running SMS Chat while you overwrite the images!
Enjoy!
hi..i have some problem with the skin..i circled it in the screenshot...can you fix it?or just make the back ground plain white?thx
Those are misalignments with the background and chat box, I don't think they are fixable because I tried reversing the image and it just caused the same thing on the other side. Relatively small problem though so I just let it go.

Yeah, I used some other apps as reference for that (easy contact, TF3D theme for M2D) they all seem to have the same highlight style so I used that.

just for information, works and looks great on my touch diamond 2 in vga, thanks a lot
Thanks, though I thought the diamond2 was WVGA?

thanks.great work!
Thanks
Thank you very much.
Any chance you can do this skin for Funcontact 2.16?
3.0 Interferes with Manila
Paul
Hi Paul,
I do not own Funcontact, only the SMS-Chat. However, I recommend Easy Contact for HTC style contact manager that is finger friendly. Best free contacts app I've seen so far, I even prefer it over iContact personally. It's also easily skinnable.

I was thinking the same thing actually, shouldn't be too hard.
I wish it were easier to edit the black skin because the icons are at the bottom and it would look more like Manila, but when I tried editing it before I ran into some problems.
Blue Manila version possibly coming soon.
...
I use it too, just that i wish the contacts (name) was bigger.
Paul
if im not wrong..the font size value are in the .skin file..you can try figure it out..but the .skin file must same with before it was edited
still waiting for it..
I'll get to it when I can.
Awesome skin, thanks
"This works with the newest version (1.23)"
where I can find it?
Search VITO Technology on google, find SMS Chat. You can use it for 2 weeks but then you have to buy it. Or a hard reset I think might work lol.
Side note: Anyone willing to help me test out a blue version? I can make the graphics but have no way to test because I've flashed to a new 6.5 ROM. I don't want to install much on it because it needs to be kept very clean to run fluidly on the Titan.

-Reserved-
looks really amazing...
Thanks ejder1377.
let me know if you have problems with it.
ebsbow,
Nice work, I'm using CorePlayer on a daily basis for video playback, I will let you know if I face any issue with it.
You did an amazing job
But I found 2 problems in the File Selection page that I think are important:
1. not show the path
2. not show the selective boxes
Can you fix these?
My device is Touch Diamond (VGA).
Also in YouTube page not show many things like settings button and fonts in main window
You must be replace the black fonts color to white,
in YouTube logo replace the black fonts (You) to white,
the search frame replace the black to white
and I believe the icons must be more "attractive".
Thanks ebsbow.
Great job!
Maybe its nothing, but the color of the selector should be an other color I think?
ebsbow,
As said yesterday, after a day of use, first point to say is CorePlayer looks nicer than ever.
Now time for the points to improve from my point of view:
- No timer anymore, I don't know how long the movie I want to see will last.
- As stated by kastel71, it is a bit difficult to choose a video file. That leads to strange behaviour such as viewing a movie you think you do not have selected.
I hope you can fix these things.
OK!
I made some small changes:
1. youtube and dailymotion icons
2. youtube logo (from black "You" to white)
3. close, meta (info) and net (beside full screen icon) icons
4. directory path font color (from black to white) at File Selection page
5. highlight color (from green to dark gray)
6. search background (from black to dark grey)
But I don't find yet how to make visible the checkboxes and I 'm still working on it.
Thanks guy's for the comments sofare.
@The_Steph: Yes, the timer is an style thing. Hav'nt yet figured out how to place it into the style. I considered placing it over the image, but that looked very sloppy.
Let's see if we can place it into the other view.
@kastel71: Nice work!
Definitively going to correct the file path color, and the Google search box.
The check boxes are still eluding me aswell.
@Bardok: Yes indeed, the color needs some tweaking still. Looking into that.
@PollPixx: Thats wierd, but I don't think its related to the skin. Though if someone else is having an similar problem, then I will certainly look into it.
edit;
Anyone have an working YouTube?
It looks awesome, but....this must be a coincedence, but after adding your skin to my coreplayer it plays not well anymore. The image is stucking after 3 seconds, the audio keeps running. Anyone an idea where this is coming from??
Edit, after re-installing coreplayer everything seems to be working again...
Cheers,
Arnold
@PollPixx : I don't think that's related to the skin. Atleast, never came across any comment relating to that kind of skinning problem.
But I will surtenly look into this if others have the same problem.
No worries, I just mention it...it may mean nothing. As I set I re-installed Coreplayer and now your skin is working, maybe I had an older version of Coreplayer at first. Looks great!
Cheers,
Arnold
Hi ebsbow, if you need help please ask.
Thanks mike2nl!
I may take you up on that
very nice skin... Looking good on my Diamond... Thanks!
Hey,
so first of all the screenies look amazing and I will give it a try
The problem is I followed ur advices and installed it on my device, I am not quite sure whether I installed it on the main memory or store card, so I tried both.
After installed to the main memory respectively the store card I have made a reset
No changes at all
What am I doing wrong?
Appreciating ur work!
@impreZzA:
Coreplayer must be installed in the default folder, on the card or other wise. The application should work for you. Just execute the cab file and select the correct memory location. Also be sure you have an recent version of CorePlayer.
Okay ^^
Tried again, but s.th doesnt work
so its installed on memory card
x:/Programme/Coreplayer
the cab file is located at x:/programme
I executed ur file and chosen memory card as the place where it should be installed and then I started core player no changes
Coreplayer is quite recent
Help
thanks in advance!
