Ghost Email Accts

I did a search, but didn't find anything, sorry if I missed the solution to my problem.
OK, so I have flashed to a WM6.1 rom, but this occurred when I flashed to the official rom as well. When I create a new email acct for my gmail, I have to name it something different each time I flash. I only keep my outlook email and a gmail acct. Right now if I go to email in spb mobile shell it shows 3 gmail accts, if I go to messaging, it shows 1. There is only 1 acct. Obviously something isn't getting erased when the new rom is flashed. Any idea how to get rid of these ghost accts? I got a similar issue with active sync, it would not sync until I gave the tilt a new name (other than what I had given it during previous set ups) even though I had deleted all partnerships.

This is what I get when I try to set up a new acct and name it Gmail
It's got to be a registry entry, but I don't know where to find it. Any help is greatly appreciated, I would dearly love to get these ghost accts off my phone.

I have had this happen to me when I used IMAP4 accounts
There are no fixes AFAIK, other than a hard reset

Thanks for the reply. I figured out how to fix it.
I downloaded a small .exe file called mailaccountrepair and repaired the ghost accounts so they all showed up on the messaging screen then deleted them. Then I was able to set up an acct named "Gmail" and it works fine. None of the ghost accts show up in my acct listing in spb mobile shell anymore either.

that means
1)flash the rom
2) wait for the "Tap here to begin" screen to come up
3) Hard reset your kaiser device by holding both softkeys and hitting the reset button with the stylus.
4) begin personal/business use.
did you do this first? And i mean as soon as you flashed.

Yep, I read the wiki, and while I didn't flash to dutty's rom (didn't know how to flash the radio), it said it is HIGHLY recommended no matter what rom your flashing to. So as soon as the tap the screen came up, I hard reset. And then ended up hard resetting again cause the sprite restore gave me unexpected results the first time.

Go to: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\xxxxx (xxxx = the name of the account to be deleted) & delete the correct key.
First you will need a registry editor, I recommend Resco Registry editor but others will work fine.
Open up your registry editor and go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc
Now in here you will find several registry keys. These include Activesync, imap4, pop3, MMS1 and SMS.
Go into the folders & look for one called "Friendly Name" with a value like "1Gmail" Then go to the parent key for the "1Gmail" folder again, & delete it.
Just soft-reset your device and the mailbox including will be gone.

all the files come with a "read-me", its fairly simple, but ill break it down :
1. Install SPB MS2.1
2. via active sync go program files > SPB Mobile Shell and replace all EXACT files with the files located in the "HTC Diamond MS2.1" ( the folder titled "file" which was extracted from that zip, and replace the font files as well.
3. Soft Reset..after you soft reset your today screen should look like the pics ive posted.
4. Reconnect via active sync
5. Install S2U2 .. its a .cab file so its a quick drag and drop
6. In the "Diamond Theme For S2U2" read the "read me" file.. its that simple. BUT instead of using the 2 wallpapers in there.. use the 2 ive attached above.
7. Soft Reset..after you soft reset your initial screen should look like the pics ive posted.
8. Reconnect via active sync
9. Install Diamond Dialer. its a .cab file so its a quick drag and drop
10. Soft Reset
11. Reconnect via active sync
12. Try to make a phone call, your dialer should look pretty dope..lol
13. Install SPB Weather
14. Take the files from the Media Player folder ive given you and go ( via active Sync ) Program Files > Windows Media Player > and drop the folder in there
15. Use open up ur media player, and go menu > options > skin and choose the one titled portrait, then the onle titled landscape, you should be good to go from that point
16. Install SPB Watcher. its a .cab file so once again, its a simple drag and drop via active sync
17. Soft Reset, by this point your phone should look exactly like what the pics above show.. if not.. re-read my instructions.
On To The Bonus Apps
18. Install Personalizer. Again, its a .cab file so u can drag and drop via active sync.
19. Install Thumb Calender.. follow the link posted above its already been posted.
20. Firefox is optional. I like it the best, so thats what i use.
And thats all folks.. any questions.. as i mentioned if its not listed just ask.. ill see what i can do for u!

Operator Personalizer changes the name of ur Service Provider on ur ppc
ex: i have At&t but with the personalizer ive changed it too "The Evil Genius!"
so now its reads as if my service provider is The Evil Genius.. its a pretty cool app.

Great, well i just tried to put it as my today screen, but when i set it, it's WAY lighter than the original. You can barely see the HTC in green. Can you just upload the .tsk as an attatchment? That'd be great--thanks.

Problem is that constantly all the slots assigned to Greece are in use and it asks me to download the Megaupload toolbar, which I don't want. Maybe rapidshare or Badongo.com...

First off, I just want to say that this theme looks great. However, I'm having a little bit of trouble getting it to work, and I'm not sure why. I suspect it has to do with my ROM, which is DCS WM6.1 V1.7.
I've installed and used themes before (though never on this ROM), without any problems, but here's what I'm running into:
I install SPB, copy over the Diamond files, soft reset (thanks for those clear directions by the way) and... nothing happens at all. My home screen looks just like normal.
Under Today --> Themes, I only have DCS, DCSv2 and Windows Default listed.
Any help anyone could offer would be immensely appreciated. Thanks

to be honest over on other sites ive heard that some ROMS dont really agree with SPB MS2. and in a situation like this i really wouldnt know what to do.. im sorry i cant help u here.. but ill do some searching myself to see what i can come across

With Decuma Japanese, when you draw an kanji, you don't have to put the EXACT number of stroke or respect the EXACT order of the kanji drawing, it analyse your final drawing and propose to you the best match...
Infortunatly, Decuma Japanese don't work on WM6.1 (or I never succeded to make it work)
But maybe it exist a alternative solution, if you know, please help me

I don't know Decuma Japanese but I use the usual Japanese IME from Microsoft. It features various possibilities for input, you can draw Kanji as well. Instructions can be found here in the forum. Unfortuantely it messes up my T9 input, so I had to buy TouchPal. Another possibility would be Japanese Input.

But it don't reconize very difficult kanji and, as I say before, I have to draw the kanji with exact number and exact order of strokes...

Yes, I use it on diamond and it works flawlessly. I don't know if it meets your requirements, though. When I write　休, incorrectly starting with　木 and then adding　イ the IME doesn't give me the Kanji I wanted to write. But it's the same with the IME on your Windows desktop, when you write using IME Pad.

Yes, it's a bit complicated. These are the steps to take:
Download and install "LetsJapanNo6", do a soft reset
Download and Install "IME_31J_F", no soft reset
Download and install Enable_IME_2, no soft reset
Download and install Enable_IME_3, do a soft reset
Nearly all of your buttons will not work, so use a registry editor and change the following value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010411\Keyboard Layout to "00000409"
Done!

The 4 SIP are correct. I don't really see the difference between Tegaki and Kensaku (at least when you only want to input a single Kanji), but they all work well. As for the "¥", just change your system language back to English or whatever it was before you installed LetsJapan and you have back the good old "\".
The T9-problem might not be connected to the Japanese IME, as others have the same problem.

My windows live messenger also stopped working after installing this... anyone else has the same problem or has anyone found a solution for it?

Obsidian72, for the "\" thing, it doesn't work for me... I'm french but I use a WWE rom, so after the last soft reset, I tried to back to french local setting but the "¥" is still present everywhere.
(I will try to set english local setting, but even if it work, I prefer the "¥", is less anoying )
PS : just for test, if you still have the IME_3, try to upload it on XDA please

Hello Yodajr, to get back the "\" instead of "¥" after installing LetsJapanNo6 you have to edit the following registry entry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SkipTable
The you should set the following keys:
Key: Courier New, Value: 00a5,007e,0391-03c9,2026,2116,221a,25a0-25ff
Key: Tahoma, Value: 00a5,007e,0391-03c9,2026,2116,221a,25a0-25ff
After a soft reset you should have your "\" back. The entry for changing the "\" for "¥" is 00a5. So maybe you want to add only this value to the key.

Can anyone tell me how I can get my Diamond to display Japanese text? At the moment all I'm getting is squares or a load of random "$!^%" insead of japanese charaters in emails, oprea (when trying to surf Japanese websites)
I've tried changing the registry MUI hex value to 411, but that doesnt work - as the touch flo screen just gives me squares where the text should be.
Or is it possible anyone can point me in the right direction to get an original JP ROM?

Maybe you just need to install a Japanese font. If that doesn't help, you have to install the files from post #6. Even if you change your system language back to English or whatever it was before, you'll still be able to read Japanese mails or browse Japanese webpages.

If you install just the LetsJapanNo6, I think you will have the support to read japanese text on the diamond :

Just noticed, The volume buttons on the side have stopped working along with the up, down, left and right on the kepypad... Anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a work around?
Also, it seems to have messed up the qwerty keyboard a little as you can't toggle between ABC and 123. I don't really mind this too much as the block recogniser works fine.

Happy w/ my Throttle

I'm posting this just to say how much I enojoy using throttle over the default HTC homeplug, if you haven't made the switch you should consider doing so now! the touchflo works great, flash can be tricky but is beautiful, and it runs just as fast (sometimes faster) as my homeplug did! I know there aren't many themes for this yet but I don't see myself getting away from this clean black. Having multiple slides available for calendar/photos/apps and more makes life easier! Here are a some shots of my default yet clean and enjoyable set up. Please post your custom throttle pics if you have them!

Tried it. Didnt like the lack of an actual today screen for my plugins. I use IM+ regularly and not being able to see a new message displayed kinda sucked. The ONLY way i was able to even see the plugin was to disable the calender function and enable the plugin in its screen. Even then, it doesnt autoupdate to show a new message. Sigh

you can manually add plugins to any page within throttle and..for the home page you just add the line for the plugin in the xml...its very simple..i did it for voip byut yah the auto update does kinda suck..i just hit the hw start button..it updates the page/plugins

You can but L26's last B5 is SICK SICK SICK! I highly recommend it!

The TL is not that slow, you just need the good parameters (like using "paged" movements to naviguate through the different tabs / pages). Otherwise the other ways to naviguate are indeed slow (kinetik, wheel of fortune etc).
That's really a nice and useful plugin. Highly customizable and like it has been said, you can add Today Plugins in the TL, so you can virtually have lot's of them because you can have as many "tabs" has you want.
The TL in Laurentius26 TL B5 indeed highly rocks hehe.

Flashing is not hard, it just needs care.
Here is the main Wiki of the Kaiser.
To know how to flash a ROM, please read everything here. The first time you flash, it's taking time cause you are new to that game and you need to install first a soft called "hardSPL". Then you'll be able to flash (install) a ROM. If you flash this one (L26 v10 Beta6), you'll have the ThrottleLauncher pre-installed .
If you don't want to flash a ROM, you still have the posibility to install the ThrottleLaucher by yourself following this post.

I love calendar, mostly for the swiping to next or previous month, i've got alot of **** in my calendar and it helps to not have to 'leave' the home page to open calendar to see when i've got upcomming appointments.

As far as flashing a new rom I suggest you read the wiki on rom flashing how to's.

It's fool proof if you READ everything! And by using a stock rom that came with the phone you are missing out on alot of Kaiser's features that you paid good money for!

Another SMS bug in Manila 3D!

Hey, before you start reading my oncoming wall of text, please read this: THIS IS NOT ABOUT EVERY THIRD SMS DISAPPEARING.
With that out of the way, I'll post my problem. See, I really love TouchFlo and it makes me wanting to use my phone more, so it's great to see so many roms incorporating this. itje's roms are praised all over the Xperia part of the forums and I like his roms as much as they do - there's just one problem. You know the sms program cooked into itje's TouchIT roms? The one with a seperate "Send" button and a black framed text entry box? Well, this text entry box won't stay on the button, right over the Windows Mobile softkeys, like it should. Instead, it floats about half an inch up from there, overlapping about 3 of the latest text messages in the conversation. This is really annoying, and makes me stick with the stock rom.
I noticed that somewhere in the TouchIT-threads someone also had this problem, and tried to solve it. After much searching I still can't find it, and belive me - I've searched like a freakin' narcotics dog.
My question is: Is there a way to delete this program and map the sms tab to open Windows Mobile sms? Or possibly a fix?
It's a shame some of us with this bug (I assume I'm not the only one) aren't able to enjoy all the great TouchFlo roms here because of this bug when maybe there's an easy fix. Since all the threads I've started before this one has been ignored, I hope this problem will get some attention anyways. I'm happy to test possible fixes, I'm used to re-flashing my X1 once a day. I don't think I'll come up with a fix myself since I don't have the knowledge of WinMo (yet!).

yeah, i have the same prob. i actually like windows sms better, when u go threw MESSAGES > ALL MESSAGES > anyone.
i would like to know a fix too.

HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT NEED TO BE REPEATED
if it was any lower it would conflict with the slide out tab in landscape the one that has the icons.
this is not a bug, it looks like it's how HTC designed it..
I've answered this before (as have other people) did it really need another new thread?
If you really believe this is just a part of Itjes roms then search the forum, loads of people on different devices have exactly the same thing..
go get a blackboard and repeat after me..

Hmm, I really tried to find a solution (or in this case, answer) but so what? This thread dies out soon, and a mod is free to delete it if it's in the way of more important stuff. Sheesh, it's like everyone on the internet is obliged to have their period when a question instead of an answer comes up. This is merely a bug report and you should treat it that way I think - as something constructive. Since you answered it so many times, why not decide NOT to answer it or answer it in a nice way? Either is fine with me but thanks for telling me it's not a bug.
This leads me to my next question, thus not making this thread obsolete and reeking of flame war stench - Is there a way to map the sms text to opening the message in WinMo sms? This is not necessary, of course, but to overpass the TouchFlo sms althrouh would be great.

oh come on, fards - you'd REALLY miss the opportunity for these little rants if these postings would stop alltogether tomorrow...
some people should read up the difference between show-stopper, bug and design-flaw though... (not sure if even the last one is right for this issue, what's the alternative?!)

Download mode9 editor, cruise the lua files until you find the one responsible for the messaging app, learn how to prgram lua and then code it to call tmail.exe instead of the HTC solution. Simple.
Or you could try cooking a ROM without the HTC message enhancements package?

Thanks for this answer, I've tried to cook my own rom but it came out rather buggy so I'll go with other roms while I'm learning.

Rather than being silly, you could A) search B) search C) press the allmessages which brings up the Winmo SMS app.
I even said it up the top (as I have before over and over again).
If there was a "fix" don't you think it would have been announced by now, or included in the roms?

May I offer a forth suggestion?

I have a bit of simpathy here, this 'feature' is rather unhelpful, but not as bad IMHO as the one that seems to lose my response mid type when I click somewhere wrongly (I honestly can't remember what) so I have to start again.

I tried that (or the newer one) that but couldn't get it too work, it was missing the hook.

Hmmm, oh well, at least it has been tried (and saves me having a go).
I think I may go back to 2.95... (but I'll have a play with a few of the new ROMs seeing as how I'll be going back to stock for returning the X1 on Sunday...)

There's a solution for this in Rhodium, looks like this, excessively handy:
