Possibly stupid questions but I'm kinda new to this alternate rom buisness.
Assuming I don't let it do the customisations and then put in the custom cabs for the GPRS, MMS etc from my existing EXT_ROM would there be a problem installing this on a UK MDA (on the UK T-Mobile network) ?
And would I be able to reinstall the UK shipping rom if things wern't to my liking ?

So we've previously had it confirmed by a Microsoft Employee (in a blog post regarding displaying of that retarded builtin battery meter on the today screen) that when we look at the above line from "About" in Settings -> System -> About that the last 3 digits indicate the AKU version. So this means that this ROM has AKU v2.3
Anyone know how I can extract just the Radio rom from this? or can someone post it please as an EXE. I am so sick of 99% of all my calls being ended at or around hte 7 minute mark and again at 14 minutes about 50 percent of time i lose signal and the call and it comes back in a minute or two. the radio on this device is lackluster at best.
any help would be great.
im using the 217 rom with the 112 radio and its the same as the 217 radio pretty much love to try this new radio to see if its better.

New Rom
I flashed my wizard with this Rom and everything seemed fine. After about 30 mins of use and once I had re-installed my apps (pocket plus, tomtom, voice command , total commander) i noticed very poor startup times on applications.
To start TomTom it took 55 seconds.
Anyone else have this problem?

When im trying to upgrade my phone it goes through the normal steps and then i get an error msg saying something about invalid vendor id.
Please help, i would like to upgrade my firmware. For some reason my phone decided to stop playing sound. I can only hear somebody or the phone tones if i plug in the headset. Once plugged out there's no sound. It vibrates only.
Please HELP!!

For your first issue, search the Forums for CID Unlock, LokiWiz or aWizard...
For the sound issue, I've read posts where other users have experienced hardware failure of the 'switch' indicating that you have a wired headset plugged in. Without the headset attached does the headset graphic appear on the phone dialer screen? (might have to call voicemail to be sure)

Your phone is probably locked. You need to unlock it first. Read this:

Sound Issue
Ok, i have phone my voicemail but do not see any headset icon. But normally there's no icon on my phone. I cannot enable speakerphone. It was working this morning. I then plugged my headset in and after i unplugged it the sound was not working. Any ideas??

Are you already running one of the 2.x Roms? CID unlocking does not work on them. You will need to downgrade to an earlier 1.x Rom, CID unlock and then upgrade. {Gentle nudge} all if this info is avaliable by reading the unlocking threads.
Anyone have an idea where I can get this Radio Rom i have been looking all all day but have come up empty.

I think this is a modify/updated version of the US ROM as it has alot of US ralted cbs in the Ext. ROM and also it's missing some of the EU features.
But it's fast and it's stable, add some of the EU specific features and I'll have the perfect ROM. Please TMo, do hurry.
I did the hardspl. Then flashed the radio. After the radio flash, it still brings up the AT&T splash screen, but NO sounds. After that loads up...then I get a all fuzzy screen - NO PICS - bunch of different colors. PLEASE HELP ME. What do I need to do??

How?? And which one? Im using the stock AT&T OEM ROM. I cant get it to connect to activesync or anything. I get as far as that fuzzy screen I was telling everyone about.
why did you flash just the radio. There is a wiki or something around here that tells you what radios go with what rom.
I thought I was supposed to flash the Radio ROM first...then flash the new ROM. I can get it unto bootloader by using the camera key and the reset hole. Gives me the 3 color screen...I just dont know what to do from this point. I'd rather just go back to the stock ROM and be done.

Ok. So I'm downloading the 1.27.12.11 Radio ROM right now.
i'll have to go get a micro SD.
How do I run it from the micro SD in bootloader mode with the 3 color's on the screen? It says serial on the bottom.

hi forum. i have been looking around to solve this problem but i wasn't able to find a solution yet so i am asking here.
i had a tilt working great, i had an accident and the phone is destroyed so i get another one.
it is the same phone but it just don't have the camera, this one came with a new version of windows mobile(6.1).
i am now having this issue, when i get an incoming call and i answer i can't hear anything from the other side and the other side can't hear me either.
after that, the phone gets totally muted, it don't make any more sound when sliding or whatever.
the only way to fix it is reboot the phone, that way i get sound again but after i get an incoming call the problem happens again.
the problem wasn't happening if i made the call but today i made a long call and after a while talking i got a constant buzz, the buzz only stopped after i turned off the phone.
any help will be apreciated as i am totally lost here.

Have you tried flashing a different radio or a different ROM?
talking with my vendor it seems that he flashed the rom and maybe the porblem can be the radio.

so maybe the radio is not compatible with the rom and that is why i am having issues with the sound ?
That is a possibility. The nice part about flashing radios is that they are completely independent from the ROM. When you flash a radio it won't flash or reset your device. Therefore, you can flash and test as many radios as you want without any real negative side-effects Just stick with the one that ends up working the best for you!

To flash the radio follow the same steps as flashing the ROM. You need only the radio (.nbh file) and the Kaiser Custom RUU. Just don't do a hard-reset or anything after it completes!
cool, i installed a new radio and it fixed that problem, i am checking other common features of the phone, for now everything seems to be fine.

Problem with incoming call
I have exactly the same problem and the same versions of software and firmware. Which version of the radio firmware did you install? Where did you get it? This is my first use of a smart phone and don't know much at all about where to get this.

Start by reading the stickies. Always best place to start. Or if you are lazy and wish to just jump to radios use this >link<. But I definitely recommend you read all the stickies before flashing a device for the first time. Just start with the newest radio and work backwards til you find a good one for your device.

Hope everyone is well. I realise that I am probably repeating a post somewhere and apologise profusely for that.
However my request is quite urgent. I have my phone flashed with Dutty's 4.1 using the step by step guide to update radio and ROM etc etc.
My touchscreen has now started playing silly buggars and as such tomorrow it gets picked up by UPS UK to disappear off to be looked at. Obviously I do not think they will take it to well if it still has duttys on there
So just so I make sure I get eveything right.... can someone just drop me a link to the correct files for a stock flash back to the way things should be.

I Think u need the original rom... or a htc one from the website?? ... can it not be downloaded from the htc website?? i may be wrong
I do but also need to make sure I do an original spl and radio as well
first off go to htc.com and download the romupgrade thats on that side (ive non is on the side check the wiki for youre countryrom)
then flash that one and se ive radio comes with it
ive not flash radio 13.**.**.**
then from the hard spl thread there a tut how t make youre spl stock again and youre finished

Ok, thanks for all your assistance. Just qiuck one, Once I have done all this how can I check it has all worked. Obviously the boot loader shows the SPL, and the ROM is whatever installed. Where will it display the current radio so I can check that too?

At boot it shows, just restart your device and look at the red text in the bottom right corner, there it will show your current radio version.
Could also see it in device info when the device is on but dunno if you still can considering you need to return it.

Thanks to all help, radio is now reading stock as is the 1.56 spl all installed from latest ROM from HTC so also stock.
UPS collect tomorrow and with any luck they will return a working touchscreen and I can continue where I left off

I also have read a couple of these help requests and the same problem, but what could it be, is it the windows mobile 6.5 builds that are doing this (not blaming the chef's in anyway), or some conflict with the spl... have to investigate this more...

I have also noticed the very same, after changing the rom people are having screen problems! Why is that?

i've had the problem with a cooked french rom (Pyrana V17C). My screen started to freeze for a few seconds. During that time, when I put the finger on the screen and slide, the screen follows the move but it comes back to where it first was, ant the move is finally not taken in consideration ... it looks like the screen is an elastic...
So it did it sometimes and it lasted a few seconds first, and then, a couple af days later, it was more often, and I had to soft reset everytime, and yesterday, I finally had to hard reset to take back the hand, and the bug came back more quickly. So I installed the latest release of this rom this morning and everything seems to be stable since a couple of hour. If it comes back I'll try another rom, but if someone can find a way to set this, that would be perfect ...

Hi there, found my old Tytn II lying and decided i wanted to unlock it to use with my current SIM. I searched on ways to unlock it and found the "kaiserunlocker" followed all the steps and hey presto it was unlocked! I was over the moon! That is until i noticed the handset no longer making noises? I have searched and searched again, all the talk of "correct radios" and flashing rom etc has me totally lost, infact the phone wont make calls and is generally very slow?
Please Help!

i have been in these threads, when doing all the searching etc. I dont know what im doing... im in a total state of confusion now? i dont understand what a rom and a radio is or for that matter an spl?

Ok, had a good read there, just tried to make a phone call on the handset there and it didnt work, upon reading about roms, radio roms etc. I believe that the phone has the wrong radio rom, Text Messages are working, but not phone calls,

But Cant seem to find the below in Bold?

1.81.61.2 WWE is the ORANGE UK kaiser ROM
The radio looks to be correct for that ROM too, my advice would be to HardSPL it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835 part 1 thru 5 )
Then go get the HTC stock ROM from here ( http://rapidshare.com/files/157469239/Kaiser_HTC_ASIA_HK_WWE_3.34.721.2.rar ).
The stock ROM above also contains a matched Radio, so this should either cure the problem, or at least give you a clue if it's hardware or software problems you face.
