"unknown device processor type 2577 or OS(330)"
This error comes up whenever I try to load new maps from the Destinator CD. Anybody seen it before?
I have loaded software/maps from this CD loads of times before and I have another copy and get the same results.
I've tried a differant desktop/xda/SD card
I can sync with outlook
I can load any other app
UK ROM 3.17
Any help would be really great.

Which version of active sync are you using? I had problems with versions above 3.5 You can simply unzip the maps onto your sd card into the appropriate directory and the software finds them.

Tried 3.5 and 3.7
I friend gave me another copy of the cd and that worked. Really strange as I had 2 other copies of the cd and both were working.

For anybody else using the latest Destinator software, make sure you are using your GPS in Sirf mode, Destinator is VERY flaky in NMEA mode, lost signal, slow updates, freezes etc.

I bought a Diamond 2 weeks ago in French (v1.37.406.1 FRE) and I started to install .cab applications.
I tried to install :
S2U2 (1.05)
S2V
ESET NOD32 (on official site for PPC)
PHM
psshutxp
Advanced config (the link of XDA)
CorePlayer
none have been installed. The error message is :

So I do an Hard Reset and I was able to install :
S2U2 (but not the link of XDA)
S2V
PHM (not in the official website)
psshutxp
Advanced config (not the link of XDA)
but not CorePlayer and ESET
So I do an Hard Reset again but after nothing works
I do 2 Hard Reset again and I flashed my original french rom for the french rom in this topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2344831&postcount=42
the original.
And doesn't work

You sure you have enough free memory to install those programs??.
I have same problem... have several programs that just dont get installed for unknown reason and it is even I chose flashcard also...
try updating ROMs, 1.37 is nutoriously slow anyway so that would definately help in terms of speed, and maybe its a bug on your ROM and you'll kill two birds with one stone, worth a try seeing as you've hard reset and lost your data anyway
I just uploaded all the apps using ActiveSync and it all works... Can someone explain why with USB drive it will copy but not work as it should?
Can we test it somehow?
Did you still have the Diamond connected to PC and acting as a Hard drive if so there was your problem. When it is connected as a hard drive the Diamond will not see the WM device therefore when you are trying to install the program(Cab File) will not be able to install its reg settings to windows. I always disconnect my Diamond from PC after transferring Cab.

No no... sure I run CAB from the phone after I disconnected... I just upladed this via USB drive and it was making errors (just not working) but If I did same via ActiveSync it is working.
Can you explain this?

i upgraded my (i-mate pocket pc HP10b ) from wm2003se to many roms i got from this great forum. I tried almost all Ather and C_Shekhar roms,although sun dream wm6.5 .
found most of them great stable and fast but the big problem which may make me mad that when i install any program ( .exe from pc or .cab from sd) the windows ask me were i install it, but any where i choose the program install only in the main memory. when i install the original rom (PPC_RUU172126WWE_imate) the proplem is solved and all app installed easily in sd card. I am using skyscape medical . and medical wizards softwere.
i searched this forum many times about this but i failed.
So,, please any one can help me( i don't want to go back to wm2003se)
Have you tried to install another Program (maybe Resco Explorer) to Storage Card? Does that work?
So I just got mine from my friend who lives in Germany, and I desperately want to change the language because I hardly understand it. I need it in English. Can someone help me find the .nbm file or some tut or something? I saw the hard spl unsigned thing and I guess I'll start off with that. Can anyone help me find a Windows 6.1 english version that has everything in it so it's like as i just bought it? Or maybe a windows 6.5? But I need it to have everything as if I just bought it, oh and I installed the one free map tomtom navigator allows me to download, so if I flash the rom, will I lose that map?
You should be able to find a suitable ROM in the Diamond ROM Development Section, you will only loose your Maps if they are stored on the Main Storage.
Well the map files are in My Documents of the phone, so does that count as the main sotrage? Any way to back it up?
Oh! Will I lose +any Apps like the TomTom Navigator or the Office Tools?
If you want to back up your maps, copy them to your Internal Storage. Mostly after market apps are installed on your Internal Storage so you will not loose it when you flash a new ROM, I have for example iGO8 installed on my Internal Storage and I don't have to reinstall it when I flash a new ROM. The Windows apps are part and parcel of all ROMs.

I just installed Dialer Ace 3D on my Omnia i8000.. wanted to share it with you guys out here..
Its working good till now, without any problems on my origianl WinMo 6.1 Rom. (It also works on WinMo 6.5 and HTC TD2)

You may get it from Samsung App Store.. Its free to download..
To download on PC you will first have to download and Install KIES (available on Samsung app store) and then open the App Store within KIES application and search for the Dialer Ace 3d under 'Utilities' and download..
IMP: While installing KEIS on your PC select your location as UK.. As the app store is not available for all locations..

Dialer Ace on the Verizon i920
Has anyone got this to work on the Verizon Omnia II? I tried loading it to My Storage and to the device memory itself and both times no luck. I click on the icon and nothing happens and the phone send button does not get mapped to the program like it is supposed to.

I have 2 questions about this application:
1) Even if i set dialerace as my default dialer, i can't get it work while on spb shell. It only works when i'm at today screen.
Is that right? Has anyone of you get it work with spb shell?
2) Can you please tell how the 'favourite contact' thing works? I have for example a contact for my brother, with 2 cell phone numbers and a phone number of his office. There are some times i want to call the 1st cell phone number and others i'd like to call him in the 2nd one. The problem is that when on his contact card i can see only one of the cell phone and not the 2nd !!

Get out of 3d menu and then click on the contact.. it will display his cell phone and office # both..
I have a contact which has 2 work #'s and 1 cell #. but Dialer ace will display only his Cell # and 1st work #.. the second work # wont display..
Check their website and their forum...

May be your device won't allow to install unsigned apps.. as per the error...
Try the registry tweak below and then try installing again...
1. Open registry editor and got to the following key
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies
3. Change value 0000101a from 0 to 1
Then soft reset..
P.S. Get it directly from KEIS or you may also try the other cab posted here..

It works and it is quite hard to get used to at first hand.
It is totally different than the original dialer, the pad with numnber type.
It shows you by the most frequent contact you have dialed for the last 24 hrs and it doesn't look as your favourites (frankly, people we put in our favourites may not be the ones we always dial, right?)

sorry for the delay. install to your device. then got to "program files"->"dialerace", or something, then you'll have a "dialerace 3d.cab" and "sdk.....cab". click on the "dialerace3d.cab" and install it again
