Keyboard Backlight-won't wake on key Press - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I am having an intermittant problem with the keyboard not waking up when a key is pressed. It wakes up on a slide, but not the keys... Any suggestions?

Hi Sphinx88.
It is easy, just go to start, settings, buttons, backlight and disable the keyboard backlight auto sensor, this sensor is not working properly.
That's it.

Thanks for the help, I was having the same problem.

same here. Great forum and a good search function. Thanks

issue with keyboard light

When i slide the keyboard out the light goes on(nothing wrong here).
Then when i wait a short time the light goes off, but when i press a key again the light doesn't go on again.
I have the HTC wm6.1 rom on my Tytn2.
Are there more people with this issue and is there a fix for it?
anybody???
Do the keys actually work, despite the fact that the light doesn't go on?

Solution found for Backlight Slidelock Issue

So I recently discovered a solution for the backlight issue
1. Cook the following backlight.dll into your ROM, just place it in the driver folder of OEM
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HEQSI1PT
2. Set the following registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Backlight\LockLevel]
"LockLevel"=dword:0
The driver is a topaz driver...if the backlight dims, the slidelock won't be activated anymore. If the Slidelock is activated, the backlight will be dimed after 10 seconds. By using the slider, the backlight will turn on again. The only issue I still have...if the backlight is dimed in the slidlock screen...I can not turn on the light by touching the screen.
Does somebody knows a reg key for avoiding that the backlight get dimed when slidlock is activated. It's getting dimed after 5 seconds...even if backlight diming is set to be done after 30 seconds. So there must be another registry key.

the button backlight i can permanently switch on with app "keyboard backlight controller". but works only for button backlight. by very dark light the hardware keyboard light switch on, but on dawn light goes off and i can`t read the characters.
i`ve found in sys/class/leds/kpd_backlight_en/ brighness the value is 0. i set to 1 (all value over 0 works) and save. after save the hardware backlight works permanently, but screen off and on set the value to standard and it works not correctly. i think the light sensor early switch the backlight off.
edit: i've solved the issue with app "tasker". now switch on the hardware keyboard backlight on sliding the keyboard. and soft buttons switch on when display on. the light sensor at this moment disable;-)

How to disable touch capacitive lights

It seems like there is no setting under DISPLAY to disable the RECENT and BACK lights on our phone. The only way I found was to turn on POWER SAVING mode. But that down clocks the phone. If there is a way to do this on 5.1.1, please share

Thank you boss.
