Seems like 1&1 and the like all want $7/mo for Exchange mail, and it's not completely clear they even allow Direct Push
I'd love to move to a different cheap hosting provider and pickup Direct Push for my personal e-mail for the same or a little more money....
TIA,
Richard

Don't expect to find much under $15/mo per mailbox.
4smartphone.net is who I use. And if you want hosted exchange with direct push it will cost about 10-15 a month.

Someone who will provide web/e-mail/FTP/whatever services for MyDomainName.COM - so I can setup www.mydomainname.com, subdomain.mydomainname.com, etc... and have some number of mailboxes for POP/IMAP/webmail which are [email protected].
Today I'm hosted with 1&1 - and they provide all that stuff *BUT* the e-mails I setup are all POP3/IMAP, not Exchange - so I can't use them for DirectPush. I'd like to keep all that I have and add support for DirectPush - so [email protected] might be only POP3/IMAP, but [email protected] could be accessed through POP3/IMAP/DirectPush, and [email protected] might be redirected to both emal1 and email2, etc....
There are a number of services that would give me a [email protected] address, but that's at best a separate system for e-mails and at worst a nightmare of forwarding/aliasing/bouncing/etc....

Thanks, I'd seen yours before - but I'm only paying $5/month for my whole hosting package now, so it's a tough sell to double that cost just to add DirectPush That's why I was hoping there was someone offering hosting plus DirectPush for ~$5/month or so. It sounds like that's just an unrealistic hope. Sigh.

I dount you will find a hosting provider that offers exchange push, and if you do it will cost more then 10-15 bucks a month. Most hosting providers only deal in pop and imap (or http email), and usually the hosted exchange providers only do just that, hosted exchange with push.
I doubt you'll find a service that provides web & exchange (incl. Direct Push) hosting service for $5 a month. If you are looking for the full benefits of Exchange, like Outlook anywhere, Direct Push, OWA and so forth, my recommendation would be to look up Sherweb.com. Their lowest plan I believe is $8.95 and includes 3 GB mailbox, Direct Push included in price (most companies offer that for an addition fee) and 100MB Sharepoint site. I know sharepoint is not the same as webhosting, but you have the ability to share files and blog like a website, sort of . Anyways, dont want to sound like a salesman. They just have a pretty good product. Good luck

Hello all, I really debated on where to post this..I havent been too active for awhile on the forums, been busy, but I imagine I'll be snagging a Kaiser sometime coming up, so I suppose I'll stick it here.
I am offering Exchange 2007 pushmail accounts, with Outlook Web Access, and alias's, you can find more details, and pricing at http://gfyinc.org
My value plan monthly price is $4.00, or $44.00 for a year, but if you have donated to XDA Developers(as in star by your name) I will provide you with details to sign up for $3.00 a month, or $32.00 a year, or a $1.00 off any of the larger plans listed.
I am in no way trying to affiliate myself with XDA by offering the discount, and Im not setting a very good example by not having donated yet, I just know I or a lot of us wouldnt be here without this place, and want to encourage donations, I would rather you donate here, and receive the dollar a month discount.
Less than you pay for a cheeseburger and fires, and you get a whole month of instant html email sweetness.
P.M. me for details. sorry to kinda spam you, and thank you.
what kind of gaurantees do we have of this service
If you're after a completely free exchange account try here: http://live.mail2web.com/
I've used them for push mail for years and I've had no problems at all.

Like its says in my FAQ, if youre less that 15 days into the 30 day billing period, and unsatisfied, I will return your payment.
I do still have a couple upgrades I would like to put in place within the next month, but I really hate to spend too much more, when Im not really seeing that much interest from the get go, but if you want a month for free to check it out, let me know, I would appreciate any business.

Thanks for your input, after dumping a few grand into building redundant servers, and taking the time to set it all up, not to mention the stress, I really like to have some really nice person chime in and tell me and others its free elsewhere, its hard enough being the small guy and trying to compete in a world of giants.

Rather than complaining surely the best response would of been why your service is better than mail2web's? For example...
$4 a month gets you a mail alias. At M2W it's $4.95 a month.
Does your service included access using Outlook on a PC?
What about Spam filtering?
What about Anti Virus?
I use Mail2web for exchange and it is the worst experience, so I was thinking of paying the $100 and moving to mobileme from mac.
Does anyone have it working as a push service on the Diamond?
I think that it is very tricky to use it as your own domain for now, though some workarounds exists.
Conceptually, if it can run with outlook, it should run with PPC no??
IE activestink can do it?
FOr only mail, i would suggest hook up a gmail account to it ...
I use gmail for all my mails, even exchange forwards them there, and gmail takes the mail from my own server once in a few minutes.
I use Sherweb for hosted exchange. They also provide me with a free Sharepoint site, Outlook web access, access to the server via desktop outlook and a licence for outlook 2007 and entourage.
All for $8 a month - no contract. I can cancel any time.
Remember, Mobileme is an apple product - meaning limitations ahoy-hoy.
No synching of tasks I think..
Thats a bit weird, you have a Diamond, and you want to use the competitors email service that replicates what Exchange has been doing excellently for years. Sherweb is cheaper than MobileMe by a few quid a year, and will actually work with your phone, unlike MobileMe.
What are you nuts

I think mobile will offer 10x more than these crappy hosted exchanges we suffer with. Just want it to work first that's all.

Whats wrong with exchange though? Mail2web is free isn't it? Maybe thats why youve had a poor experience
I use SherWeb and i'm really enthusiastic about it because it works really well. For £50 a year I have tasks, mail, contacts and calendar pushed to my main computer, laptop and both phones. MobileMe will do that, but without the phones and without the tasks, so it seems odd you would want it.

You have to be kidding me!!!
Mobile Me is going to be restrictive and crap, as like all things Apple.
ActiveSync and Exchange work damn well.
That made me laugh too - If EAS is so crap, then why is one of the main features of the new Iphone 2.0 is that it fully supports EAS?
Makes me wonder why you got something like a diamond and didnt go the complete Apple route if its so wonderful
So you guys like active sync?
Active Sync??? is good? The P.O.S. software ever written! Nothing but bugs 5 years after release.
Do you any of you have a good active sync experiences??? (Exchange is fine, I agree)
Hint: Search the forums for problems activesync, across this entire site.
The main benefit on using an apple service like mobileme over your average hosted exchange, is the ease with which you can get back your details if you lose or forget them. So easy that in fact anyone can get their details. Or yours.
But if all you're doing is mail, yeah go with Googlemail.

after being with co.cc for a few months for my website theyve decided to change there T&C's so that after a year i have to pay
this would be doable however, my website receives no ££$$$ from donations yet and thereofre there is no money to buy it, and also if i was to buy a domain name it would be .com
my question is can anyone recoment a free doamin name service the supports url forwarding, a google apps email inclsion (CNAME) and wont flood my site with pop ups
NB
This is not a request for money or finacial help. its not spam as im not advertising or offering a service

what are the pricing rates of vbulletin? How many members do you have on your site and how many do you predict would be there by the start of 2010? I'd be willing to assist you in financially if we could break-even by 2011 via donations or whatever.
well the forum is still young we have 303 or so members
i predict to have to have 400 to 450
as for donations ive not recieved anything since it began
vbulletin is roughly
160 $
well if you click on my website in my sig you can see my forum that i host. it is called simple machines forum. i am sure that vbulletin is much better but simple machines forum is free.
well ive got a free foum it invision power board 1.4 final
it just the domain i need
You should really slow down and wait to get some more members. Once your somewhere in the 10,000 then you should get a VB.
well ppl thx for omments but i have solution
have domain and working on vbull thanks to quicksite
also forumer doesnt let me have db so i already hv 300+ members to add manually so 10000 isnt practical
jayjay, you you really check out IPB Boards too, there not as expensive as a vbulletin, That is, if you buy a REGISTERED board. But other than that, good luck.
im using the free version of IPB from forumer.com at the moment
but ive finally got iy sorted im going back to phpbb since im fimiliar with it and then i can keep cabs on the websirte natively
with the fre version iof IPB will not do
I just registered a domain name for $1. I had a few problems because it took money from my acount 4 times (?????) but meh. I registered pencil42.net. I am happily taking suggestions on what I should put there and what hosting i should use. I would prefer free hosting. I have learned basic html and website building from tinkernut.
EDIT: I heard something about DropBox hosting. How do?
EDIT2: I tried hosting it with DropBox but it seems I need to install domain forwarding for €10. I'll just use gweb.io instead. I pointed the A and CNAME records to gweb's servers but it still says they're not pointed. Maybe I gotta wait?
Bump update: It says the DNS records are pointed but I can't see the website. I don't have www.pencil42.net pointed to gweb.io's servers, and when I try to point it, it says that an A record already exists for the entered Alias. ???
Why nobody post here? I switched back to dropbox and I use pancake.io on http://www.pencil42.net for some reason it is required to use the www. or it kicks out to qweb page
Where did you register your domain, is it $1 a month ?

I would suggest HostGator but it's not free. I have the plan for $9.99 a month and I rarely encounter a problem with them.
The only best free hosting I know is X10Hosting.
The only best option for me (using prepaid gift cards) is SimpleWebHosting. Unfortunately, they don't support Add-on Domains and I'm not sure if they ever will.
Use Github Pages
https://pages.github.com
Haphost.com is good for being a free host, you can get a 128mb ram VPS for free there which should be able to host your site.
I use Ipage 1.89 a month for two years and then I have four other domains I host with them even though I bought them with godaddy I'm just getting into the hosting scene but I've been into web design for a while now thought my self everything I know
globalapk
Found this website today while googling my apps to determine the search results.
I want to know how out is these guys have such a cache of paid android apps updated nearly as soon add there released to the play store.
Does the play store have a back door in there security that needs a better lock?

That's what I was wondering about. I checked that site globalapk.com and saw a lot of apps in there. A guy named Ahed Khalil is the administrator of that site, maybe you can contact him regarding your concern.
My guess is they are scrapping the Play Store website or use services like this: playstoreapi.com

I have also noticed this...his G+ directly populates off globalapk too.
I am guessing that AHED KHALIL is not a real person to be honest.
I have attempted to contact globalapk with a takedown notice and after 48hr have had no response. I contacted him over G+ and FB and still no response after another 48hrs.
Doing a domain whois I can see a registered email address. I email and it bounces back..so its a fake.
I've ended up contacting the hosting company - LeaseWeb who have told me "...We informed our Customer with a Final Warning and will takedown his website in 24 Hours..."
I recommend anyone else having issues with globalapk to contact his hosting company as in my eyes they have had plenty of chances. My (paid) app has already had 300 views on his site, and while my app costs under £1 its still stealing.

The takedown didn't cost a thing. I politely explained the situation to leaseweb, how I had tried multiple ways and how the email address on the domain register bounced...still no reason from leaseweb why they put it back online..
Doing a hosting reverse on whoishostingthis
He is now using cloudflare...if he thinks this some form of protection he has got to be kidding, cloudflare are more than happy to provide the host for DMCA takedowns, I put one through them (for appcake(dot)net) and in under 24hrs they gave me the host as my emails to appcake(dot)net fell on deaf ears.
In any case, as leaseweb failed to explain I emailed globalapk with a final warning that if the links weren't removed I would be instructing my solicitor to pursue legal action (which I was willing to as both my old man and brother are in the law game). He must have finally gotten the message as though my apps still on globalapk no pirate links are presant...
Still doesn't cover the 350 views the page has had...my app costs £0.99p ... I do apps as a hobby/in my spare time (work full time), so a potential £300 is massive to me.

Hello everyone. I've faced with same problem. globalapk.com has stolen my application.
They turned off license checking in my application despite the fact that application was obfuscated by ProGuard.
I wonder what you have done for protection your applications from stealing.
Has someone already tried to decompile his stolen application to see how GlobalApk did it ?
I suppose that they have some utils for automation of stealing applications. Cracking each application manually would be too expensive.
Here is information that I found about them:
AHED ALBA****I
Address: Gaza GAZA Gaza 00972 Palestinian Territories
Tel: +63.0599684626
I don't think you can do much to this person other than contacting the hosting company ...
