Save page im IE - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

when i try to download CAB files and other types of downloads in IE it will often just open the file as text. Is there a way to have IE save certain file types or add a "save page as..." option to IE's menu on my Tilt?

Does anyone successfully VPN to their home network? If so, what do you use it for?

Registry tweak to make Opera launch from email links instead of IE?

links in my emails currently launch in IE, looking for the registry value that will default those links to Opera please?
That's an easy reg hack:
Open reg editor
Search for defbrowser
Line 0 should point to "windows/opera...
Line 1 says iexplore.exe
Change line 1 to operaL.exe
Close reg edit
Done
On my phone not even a soft reset though I would do one
open opera
in address bar type
opera:config
find
first time run
aaannnnnddddd DONE.

My Metro PCS internet is not working... Please HELP!!!

I need some advice on how to get my web and MMS working on my diamond. I originally bought a new Sprint Diamond. I took it to Metro PCS and had it flashed to their network. Now my voice and text work. So I'm trying to get my web and MMS working. I changed my ROM to Juicy 4.3 and tried following a tutorial found here:
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448955
I tried everything exactly like it said there, and it is not working. Here is my exact settings and changes that I made:
1: Check your Windows\startup folder for "HTC_CM_Guardian.lnk", which is a shortcut to Windows\HTC_CM_Guardian.exe. If the shortcut exists delete it. If not then you probably have a newer Sprint ROM which doesn't have the shortcut to launch that application. It is still launching it in some other way however and I have not been able to figure it out from searching forums and the web. The general consensus is to replace the file with a dummy file that I've attached (extract from the zip). Download the attached file and replace "Windows\HTC_CM_Guardian.exe" with the dummy file which will prevent it from running.
I checked my windows folder, but I'm using Juicy 4.3 and I think that this file is not included in the ROM. In any case, it is not there.
2: Rename the following files and folders:
Windows\iota.exe ---> windows\iotaOLD.exe
Windows\iotaconf.txt ---> windows\iotaconfgOLD.txt
Program Files\IOTA ---> Program Files\IOTAOLD
Once again, these files are not in my windows folder. I'm not sure what effect these files have on my connection, but I was unable to edit them.
3: Open your phone and enter ##778#, select "EDIT" and enter your unlock code.
I did this with no problem. My unlock code was just 000000.
4: Set the following values:
M.IP Settings:
MIP_MODE = Simple IP Only
M.IP Default Profile:
NAI = [email protected]
Home Address = 0.0.0.0 (just delete the values and save)
Primary HA Address = 0.0.0.0 (just delete the values and save)
Secondary HA Address = 0.0.0.0 (just delete the values and save)
Security:
HDR AN AUTH User Id = [email protected]
PPP USER ID = [email protected]
PPP PASSWORD = metropcs
My number is 972-781-8284, so I used the following:
M.IP Settings:
MIP_MODE = Simple IP Only
M.IP Default Profile:
NAI = 9[email protected]
Home Address = 0.0.0.0 (set to 0.0.0.0)
Primary HA Address = 0.0.0.0 (set to 0.0.0.0)
Secondary HA Address = 0.0.0.0 (set to 0.0.0.0)
Security:
HDR AN AUTH User Id = [email protected]
PPP USER ID = [email protected]
PPP PASSWORD = set to metropcs
5: Goto Connections and delete any existing connections and setup a new one using the following settings:
Number to dial = #777
Username: [email protected]
Password: metropcs
Domain: (Leave Blank)
Select Proxy Settings and enter the following values:
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (http)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:443 (secure wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (socks)
I changed my settings to this:
Number to dial = #777
Username: [email protected]
Password: metropcs
Domain: (Left Blank)
I set my proxies to the following values:
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (http)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:443 (secure wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (socks)
So I click on the new connection and select the "Connect" option. It tries to connect and then it says that my username and password is wrong for #777. I try to go on the web and it won't connect. Also, when I go back and look at the connection, it deletes what I entered for the http option in the proxy settings. The other 3 settings are still there (wap, secure wap, and socks).
I'm not sure what else to try. I used the *228 option and updated my PRL firmware. It still doesn't let me connect. Please help!!!
Ok, I've got an update. I was able to connect to the web last night by changing the password in the tutorial to "mymetropcs". I changed it in the connection settings and also in the PP Security Settings.
Here is my current problem... My connection won't stay connected. It will sometimes connect for a little while, and then spontaneously disconnect. Most of the time, it won't connect at all. It gives me an error and says that my username or password is invalid. Also, It will sometimes delete my HTML Proxy settings that I entered in Connections. Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it?
Confirmed
Followed all the steps and works perfectly ...
The only difference I had was my password and I used the last 4 numbers of my cell.
Thanks for the info.

Hey Guys,

Remove or Change MS Exchange in Async on Tilt

I would like to change the email address that my Exchange setup is pointing to in my Tilt. When I go into ActiveSynch and select Menu and select Configure Server, then get to the Edit Server Settings page, it will not allow me to do anything other than edit the password.
Any ideas?

[Q] how to redirect link php to application page.

I am developing an application in visual basic is the only solution that I got to make a login page was through php, the problem I encrontro is :
how do I do so that the server forwards back to the application type :
location (header : " applicationpage.html " ) ;
Are you asking how to make a web page (opened in the phone's browser) open an app to a specific page? Have the app register a URI scheme - something unique, like prrcapps_appname: - and have the handler for that URI scheme either open the desired page directly, or navigate within the app to the desired page. Then have your web app redirect the user to that custom scheme (instead of to a http: or https: URI, send them to your custom URI) and it should open.
