Rom Upgrades MDA Vario

Hi all,
I have been reading alot about the comments every one seems to making regarding the MDA Vario (unlocking or rom upgrading)
I have the latest unlocking including (CID) and i also have the latest upgrades too.
These are the full updated versions which will also change the country settings from other countrys to the full english version.
If required you can buy the cd's off me for a small price via paypal which will include full instructions with the unlocking software and upgrades, which all work 100% as i have done 14 so far with no problems.
This software will NOT change youe imei as it is against the law to do so.

I think you have a problem, i will post what i want i have forgoten more then you will ever know about mobile communications i have spent the last 27yrs in the communication world, i have worked for motorola, phillips , nokia, in hitech deparments.
You are more then welcome to visit my company here in the united kingdom so you can take it any way you want to, but think what you say before you engadge your mouth with your brain.
We also devolope software and hardware for the mobile world, and some ones software dont work we then fixit or recomend it not to be used at no cost you see we also do things for free.
So what have you to offer then! apart from rude comments which just shows to me your stupidity.

So who are you! what do you know about cellular equipment proberly nothing i guess so why dont you keep reading your comics and leave those alone who know what they are doing.

If your comment wasent aimed at me then sorry for the reply, but if it is then it is no concern of yours if you want the software with a backup service then please ask.
There are people on this forum who are have bad problems with this type of equipment and paying a small charge for what is offered is really to cheap but we at JKS Communications are not to greedy as we have tested and tested again to make sure that every thing we sell is 100% because i can assure that alot of the upgrades and unlocking software isnt safe to use.
If you know anthing about mobile communications you would know this, i have 5 tech guys who work for me full time as we cover most makes on the market and currently have around 400+gig of firmware/software going back to the early tac units all the way to the present day also we have the latest equipment around which run into thousends of pounds, 27yrs i have been in the mobile communications world so i know what i am talking about.
Like i said at the start if your comment wasent directed to me then i apologise for the comments i have made.
And if it was then you are not interested in what i can offer then keep your comments to yourself please.

Hi,
Maybe so that most thing can be found on the internet but do they do what is claimed most dont.
And as fishing for business as you put it how can offering a service to help out those to who have tried out various software and are still having problems with phone's pda's ect which have a street price of around £375.
It seems to me that some find my offer affends if that is the case i will withdraw what i am offering and put the offer on my own website we just thought it would help out as most of the links are dead one's, and some of the programes offered for free are hacked and they do damage to your phone when used we know this as we have a lot of software that we have download for free and it is a waste of time.
As for the software being free on the net which is on the cd well the unlocking programe is and works 100% every time, but the main files for upgrading cost us money one of the files is a full version in english the latest microsoft windows v5 please tell me where i can download that for free not the simple rom update but the full Os system!.

Well this is the funiest yet, how can you call me a ripper? and it isnt a fancy name eather it was formed in 1987 proberly older then you currently are, you dont live in this country according to your details and i can't see how you can pass comment when you have no idear to what you are talkin about you are a class 1 PRATT just go back to school.

It's very sad to see that some nitwit takes free software from this site and tries to sell it. We see too many fricking a-holes on ebay doing the same thing.

someone will buy the cd that he claims can do most things that we cant and then post here......and the funny thing is the person will claim that he found how to this and that.

Take a run and jump son, the software is not free if it was then i would offer it for free there is no problem there, So please tell me then know it all where i can get a 100% geuine version of windows ver 5 with the latest update for free!!! with a installation serial number.

The only thing with that is, anybody in this section of the forum already has WM5 preinstalled on their device. And we can just strip out whatever we don't want installed. I'm failing to see the benefit of anybody in the "Wizard" area of the forums buying WM5 from you. By the way, I'd also like to point out that normally, in any business, there's always some kind of customer service and professionalism. You may want to do some research into that. I know that, from most of my experiences, if you have a problem, the company gives you sympathy. If you disagree with a policy, most companies would at the very least apologize about the way things are. You, my friend, act as a douche for your company. Only, in this instance, you're flushing out business. ~sniff~ Ah, the smell of vinegar in the night air. . .

Is any of the software on the CD copyrighted / GNU licence etc ?
Also your a very new user here on xda-developers (under JKS_COMMS you only reg'd on 21-10-2006), only 6 posts (all of these in this thread) I doubt anyone is going to take you seriously.
Got to say this all sounds a bit fishy to me, do you really think ANYONE here with half a brain will send you a fiver - sounds like a bit of a scam to me so maybe this thread needs reporting to a MOD.

The software i hve didnt come from this site nor ebay as i dont have an account.
You are such a plank i can see now this forum has got A holes in it and plenty of them who can always pass comment well you can shove it, i got the software it's 100% perfect and works great but thanks to you bunch of upstarts who like to see other members suffer as the software you find on the net isnt that good thats why it is free.

there is nothing fishy here all my software is 100% i had to pay for it which was more then a fiver, so i thought i would help some one out on here with support to help them get there mda sorted and running 100% so i didnt think it was to much to ask, but as you can see it is wrong of me to offer this software at this price so i wont it do not bother me.

for someone with the vocabulary of a 9 year old, he sure does seem confident in his ability to produce working software. As for wm5 being pad for, it does NOT require a cdkey. OEM's that resell it sometimes (I have heard of one) that has added a cdkey to it to it and it was compared to a hardware id. As for a place you can find a full wm5..... everywhere?

I spoke to one of my customers yesterday who ended up being a "Master Distributor" for HTC. This may end up being a good connection or not at all, but Im working on it. Anyway I will keep everyone posted if it develops into a good source to buy one. Also I did a search on wholesale price of kaiser and came up with this website. Im sure its been discussed before but it this link below legit?

Just to clarify, this link does not represent my potential contact for htc devices. It was just something I found. Anyway I will be meeting with my customer and discuss him possibly supplying people here. Plus Ill see what kind of discounts there are.

It would be sweet if you could hook us up with his guy. Maybe he's able to get his hands on spare parts too.

TYTN II/Kaiser/Tilt Video fix

Quite a few threads now on the aforementioned topic
1) The one regarding the online petition
So, there are some 13000 signatures. So what? What is going to be done with them?
2) The one regarding proper video drivers
HTC announced in February that a fix was forthcoming at the end of March. Where is it?
3) The one regarding the video driver bounty.
Supposedly some $7000 has been raised. I doubt this. What people pledge and what gets sent are two completely different things. Sorry to be a cynic.
Having had my TYTN II for 3 months, I have monitored this site with interest for any developments. Sadly, if a fix does not transpire soon, then it becomes a wasted cause as the phone will be obsolete very soon...
Time now for action?

I don't think it is going to happen unless HTC decides to do it. Who knows, they could put out a fix today.

Why would you make this thread when there are all the other threads to post in? You haven't stated anything new. Useless thread.

There has been nothing new in any of the other threads for some time. That is my point, what is yours?
And, apologies, didn't realise that there were only a finite number of threads available...

My point is that you should take your questions to those topics so that they answers can be followed. Those threads are their for a reason and that reason is to maintain all the information in one labeled location.

It had nothing to do with a limit on threads, or finite as your referred, it just clutters up the main page with duplicate topic that has a sticky.
I could care less either way, I feel like this post and the sticky haven't done anything toward getting the drivers fixed because HTC said they are going to put our new driver sometime in the future.
To me the both should be deleted.

My question relates to 3 different threads. All of which (in my humble opinion) havn't actually achieved very much as of yet other than some moaning and some empty promises. To reiterate... With all of these signatures and all of this promised? cash, who decides when to actually do something and what will that be?
Seems to me that if nothing is going to be done then they might as well lock all of the other threads and this one and we'll look forward to the next great piece of technology (hopefully it'll come with all the extras!)

1. They have been shown to the CEO of HTC. what else do you do with a petition?
2. Ask HTC, if we knew the answer to this then there would be a thread.
3. I'm glad you feel that way.. BUT
People are trying to do what they can to make it happen. Look at other threads like

Maybe you have read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355345 where someone has donated a phone to someone to help the cause.
Is that enough action for you?
Regardless of wether or not the phone will be the latest and greatest when the fix does or doesn't happen, there are still people interested in it happening. Not everyone can by every great phone.

Your answer is there is no answer. No one knows thats why the other posts don't have any information. Asking the same question multiple times doesn't force an answer. I would know, I have already tried that method.

diamond unlock free

I posted links to a free Diamond unlocker on here last week and subsequently recieved a 7 day ban.
The ban stated the reason was "posting other peoples work".
I didnt know if the software was working,fake,safe or easy to use as my device is already unlocked but in the nature of xdadev forums i posted it in case it was of use to anybody.
I most definately didnt claim the software as my own nor did i try to profit from the work of others.
I guess it upset somebody as like i said i recieved a weeks ban for my efforts which i think was kinda harsh considering.
Wouldve have been a bit more civil to have just removed the post,links and PMed asking/demanding that i dont post the software here or anywhere else and i would have happily complied.
**** i still dont know who banned me and for what reason exactly but i aint complaining about a poxy 7 day ban that was easily bypassed by logging in as a guest to browse the forums, just wouldve been nice to been asked a question before being shot.
Just for the record

If your post was legitimate (which I don't know if it was), surely somebody was jealous and wanted his own work promoted.
Wouldn't surprise me if he even wants money for it.

It's cuz the devs are charging money for unlocking the devices. They say it will be free later, so I guess until then nobody else can start giving out codes for free.

Yea thats what happened as far as I can see.
The software I aquired is being sold by the dev/devs which is fair enough if they feel its worth the asking price and theres a market then **** it
let them eat cake.
My reason for this post was just that I didnt care for the way the matter was dealt with by banning me with out so much as a valid reason or reply to my attempts to contact them over the last week.
I also posted to state the fact that i didnt claim the software to be mine or attempt to gain financial or kudos rewards for the post.
If like I stated I had been approached with the facts rather than just getting banned I would have happily removed the link and file from my hosting and even blagged that the software I had was a fake if that would have appeased the powers that be and kept the coin rolling in for the dev/devs.
The fact is the unlock solution is now in the wild and its probably pissed on theyre chips.
Also im now getting unsolicited PMs asking for the software and I aint the ignorant type.
I can understand people being pissed off as i was unintentionaly offering for free what they was selling but i just think the matter could have been dealt with differently.

I know exactly the feeling.

I wholeheartedly agree with you mate which is why like I mentioned If I had been informed I would have if able to, happily taken measures to repair and repent my minor discretion

I understand where you’re coming from innocent until proven guilty and all that. But, sh*t happens then you die... so don’t worry about it.

I also agree with you regarding the unlocker is out in the wild. It’s available on bit torrent and various online forums mostly in foreign languages...
I do like the idea that they have come up with which is to give it out for free to people who support this site and charge the ones that don’t as its most likely these people who will go on to profit out of the software by selling it on as a service.

Works on Vista Ultimate Perfectly!
The unlocker works on vista. I should know. It worked perfectly on my phone.
The last step's hit and miss. For some reason (i'm guessing the dev had a twisted sense of humor), the app'll close instantly unless you try and freeze it open. The best way to do this is launch diamunlock.exe and press the UP button on your phone REPEATEDLY. After about 5-10 tries, the program will stay open and you can take your time.
I do admire what the dev was doing by selling this but TBH from what i've seen about XDA-Dev, software is given away and donations are asked for later. This new approach of charge first and that's it, while expected, doesn't seem to fit with the ethos of xda-dev and as such, i don't feel like i should promote it by paying for the software.
Now if it had been donationware? Hell yeah you best believe i'd have sent 10-20 bucks the dev's way.

With this solution I've unlocked severall phones, and since I believe that knollege should be payed, I've given already 2 donations to this forum in general... of course I refuse to pay to anyone in specific if the solution is out for free!...
And I think everyone should recognise this forum's usefullness with some sort of donation, either knollege or money.

Trusted boot jumper?

Not wanting to open up old threads and discussions about booting the atrix 4g, but i was just browsing the schematics i found on xda, and noticed what looks like a 'trusted boot' jumper. I don't know much about trust technology in these platforms but someone here may know more.
Brief searches show intel's trusted platform technology, I'm not sure the atrix contains something similar.
but if it does, would this jumper - if changed, allow us to boot anything perhaps?
I've attached a photo of the schematic (i found this trying to follow the good old 'FM radio not working' thread as well).
so yeah, thoughts from those more in the guts of trusted platforms?
please feel free to shut this thread down if I'm just total out of the ball park, but if this is a lead, all be it a hardware mod(depending where this jumper is and how easy it is to change its state on the board), it may be a way to unbrick perhaps.

i have a question. why didnt u write this to a trusted dev for atrix?? because its not very useful to write this without 100% knowledge so it would have been the best to write it to a hardware dev that can proof this and test it.
thanks it was meant good, but still write this to a dev that know how to work with this.
