How to downgrade Qtek 9100 rom from 2.18.7.105 to 2.8.7.107?

I have upgraded from 'RUU_Prodigy_2080707_107_11310_QTEK_DAN_Test.exe' to 'RUU_Prodigy_2180705_21807105_20710_QTEK_DAN_Ship.exe'
I wish I did'nt, now I cannot use my Motorola HT820 stereo bluetooth headset.
Please carve it out in big letters how to downgrade to 'RUU_Prodigy_2080707_107_11310_QTEK_DAN_Test.exe'. (It says "ERROR [296] : UPGRADE ONLY"
Please help...

is the 2.18 rom in english?

Maybe I'm wrong here, but shouldn't you just be able to load the original test ruu again by running the exe? CID lock won't be an issue since both roms are Qtek roms.

I even have a confirmation from the vendor saying it is suposed to be this way...

Enter Bootloader, - hold the "camera" and shortly press the reset button, don't release "camera" until you can see color screen, connect USB cable, and start to flash any ROM you like
It has to be a shipped version not only a sepperate rom.
something like:'RUU_Prodigy_2080707_107_11310_QTEK_DAN_Test.exe'

with the bootloader i mean the bootscreen of youre Qtek during a reset
the logo with os versions.

But of course! From the bootloader, the RUU has no idea of what the current ROM level is (it actually displays blank info for the original version), so any "upgrade only" code won't work. I've done this myself on a device that got "bricked" by a remote wipe test. Does it even check for CID lock when started in this manner?

Is youre Qtek9100 cid unlocked ?

How do u check if the cid is unlocked?

Yes, I used some program to set it to '11111111', but I do not know how to validate...?

I am exactly in the same situation and can not downgrade. I want to downgrade to an earlier ROM as my companys email application for PDAs(www.good.com) do not run under the new 2.18.7.5 DAN.
I have also tried the bootloader trick without success.
Any suggestions on how to downgrade from the new ROMs?

oh god i think i bricked my 8125

so i upgraded to t mobile 2.26 and it worked fine..then i tried to flash the underground wm6 and it stalled out at 96 percent and errored...now im stuck at the boot screen with IPL 2.25 and spl 2.25 ....when i try to run the RUU it give me error: 260 or 274 connection or update error...
i dont know what else to do...anybody have any suggestions? please help!

There are several suggestions there on reviving a possibly bricked phone.

i did try that already to no avail...currently i am trying to use the shelltool to flash it..it picks up this info: version 2.26.10.2 device wizard lang. WWE brand HTC ...CID n/a ROM...N/a...says this should take more then 15 min..ill update on the progress....i really hope this works:-(

BTW:It really helps if you tell us what IPL, SPL, OS versions you are on (those numbers that show up when you reboot). Also what type of phone you have (G3 or G4).

im sorry...it says 2.25 for both...however on the shelltool it says 2.26 so i dont even know anymore..
i did follow that tut....the problem is..i cant seem to flash from the bootloader screen...the RUU wont flash to my phone..it gives me an error when its checking phone info...o and its a G3 phone..(to the best of my knowladge)..when i started my rom was 2.25.11.1

Why are you doing shell tool with a G3 (I've seen where some G3's have been bricked with shell tool is used on them)? Did you try to flash the Wizard Love ROM? That seems to help in a lot of situations.
So again, more info helps. What is the exact error you are getting. And what rom are you trying to install? Is your phone CID Unlocked? May be worth trying to go back down to the Button Rom and doing the CID Unlock again.

i dont know what was wrong..really..i just restarted my comp...and downgraded to a stock rom..and it worked fine!

wizard stuck on bootloader

i had problem with wizard. i tried to upgrade rom, but i cant. it stuck on 99% and gives an error. i think it had cidlock, but i cant unlock it from bootloader.

Download official stock rom of your carrier and flash it in bootloaders to recover back to its default working status,then if its a G3 phone, downgrade to ipl/spl 1.xx by flashing Button's Rom and SIM/CID unlock with lokiwiz02b,but if its a G4 ,it cannot be CID unlocked but can be upgraded to wm6 through 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL'.

I can update my rom completely but after restart freeze on ipl-spl screen
And I can’t warm reset it says FORMAT PARTITION FAIL
I try to downgrade my rom but spl freeze on 2.17 – I try button rom and Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102
I can’t find any official qtek rom for test
And I also try R2SD all with romupdate115 it not work

You got to have a CID unlocked phone to upgrade to any wm6 Rom.Sometimes SPL do get stuck up at 2.xx while downgrading with Button's Rom,it takes a couple of tries to get it downgraded to 1.xx.Flash the button's rom a few times more till it gets downgraded.You can only CID unlock your phone,if it has IPL/SPL 1.xx.

Don't use those ROMs as they are for G4!!!
If flashing original ROM doesn't solve the case then you'll have to buy the unlock program from IMEI-check company.

No. the problem is simply of messed up firmware. I believe that the SPL tries to load the OS but it must be at a different address and never starts to load.
The IMEI-check tool will simply CID unlock your device. You still have to do the "r2sd all" procedure...

how do i put breeze into KITL Mode? is it the camera+power button tri-colour thing?

reads what stands on hermes wiki page...
maybe i'm talking ****, but i think too enter kitl mode you must have a running windows mobile...
just find the kitl mode "reset" on hermes its "now for your Hermes: hold the Comm button and soft reset and wait for the KITL dialog to appear, now is the CRITICALLY missed step; you need to press the small OK button on the LEFT of the device to activate USB KITL. "

hermes and breeze share the same platform

what is the brand,model(herm 100/herm160),vendor,region of your device

ok. i have no idea hoiw i screwed up the bootloader too. this is what happens.
i have a dopod 595 device, the breeze with forward facing video call camera, so it's a breeze 160. it's a Qtek_Z12 device and the region is WWE.
before you posted the new herm radio, i successfully updated to your beta WM6.1 using your unlocking SSPL guide. i never upgraded the SPL though. the original phone's IPL and SPL are IPL0.9 and SPL2.05.
so what i did was first to upgrade to the latest WWE 1.38 using your unlocking/SSPL guide, then upgrade to your WM6.1 beta. everything worked fine. i do notice that only the IPL has been upgraded, and the SPL remains 2.05. so i ignored it.
it was when you posted the new herm radio upgrade i then decided to update my SPL as well. so as per your instructions in the unlocking guide, i first unlock the phone (WM6.1), perform the SPL1.09 update. it was successful. phone booted up just fine. then i run the official WWE 1.38 (the same one i used before upgrading to WM6.1 beta). and this time i did not run the DES soft SPL ( i must have forgotten and thought the phone is unlocked anyway). the RUU started, and the flashing failed at 1% giving an invalid vendor ID error message (as expected because my phone is not superCID and i forgot to run DES SSPL). after this little incident, i canot boot my phone anymore.
so i tried to recover it using various methods. and i successfully flashed back the original WM5 WWE dopod 595 ROM by using the latest RUU from 1.38 with old WWE WM5 nbh. the flashing completed 100%, the phone reboots, and still stuck at the second boot screen. IPL has been downgraded to 0.9 and SPL remains 1.09.
what should i do now? i really appreciate you/anyone taking the time to look into this issue. thank you.

now you have an older ipl that does not know how to load the new SPL
so i tried to recover it using various methods. and i successfully flashed back the original WM5 WWE dopod 595 ROM by using the latest RUU from 1.38 with old WWE WM5 nbh. the flashing completed 100%, the phone reboots, and still stuck at the second boot screen. yes. i tried hard reset (two soft keys+power then press 0) many times. doesnt work. tried the mtty to format the phone, doesnt work.

ok, firstly, when i loaded up the SPL1.09, the phone boots up fine. it only got stuck when the flashing to WWE1.38 failed. at this point i still have the new IPL.
the old IPL was flashed in during the recovery attempt when i tried to flash the old official WM5 ROM back hoping it would also downgrade the SPL, but it didnt. it only downgrade the IPL to 0.9. SPL remains 1.09

im my guide i wrote to use sspl
if you use sspl you finish the 1.34 upgrade from spl 1.09 and is everything fine
if not no
from here you had spl A07 so you could flash ONLY original htc Rus rom
you flashed an older ipl instead
an older ipl that does not load correctly the new spl
the spl can not be downgraded from 1.10(1.09) to 2.05
here is the problem
and as long as you dont have an rom with your CID od HARDSPL the phone can only be flashed using my hermes guide if we find the buton combination on breeze

your problem is that ipl 0.9 cant load spl 1.09
the memory load address differs and it cant load it correctly
i havent found an solution
you need an valid spl loaded to flash
you can try all the original roms (don't edit them)
and see if any one of them tries to push ipl and spl before actualy flashing
also try the official 1.09 spl flash

what happened? I was upgrading to futureshock ver. 4 and during phone'd swiched off ... I was looking for original ROM posted here in Breeze forum, but I didn't find it ... after read this 1st post I recoginze, that Czech ROM official is RUS .. that news for me (of course good ).

I had ROM 6.1 from Futureshock...still problem with radio (my phone couldn´t accessble but signal icon shows good signal, radio version 1.38.0000), so I decided flash some original ROM. Aftet that my booting stuck on HTC logo or Windows Mobile logo. So I can´t use normal way to flashing. Only from SD card or first turn on phone to boot loader mode and than attach usb cable and start flashing. From SD card (where is renamed ROM BREEIMG.NBH) after enter into bootloader mode start loading and than just turn to trhreecolour menu where is BREE100 - IPL-0.90 and BREE100-1.10.0000 and doesn´t want continue. If I flash ROM via USB cable (first go to threecolour mode, than attach cable) than run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and flash process is being started but always die on 2%, than autoreboot and again stuck on HTC logo.
I tried hard reset, I tried lot of ROM versions HTCRUS, HTCEUR, QTEKEUR, FUTURESHOCK but still same problem during flash ROM stop on 2%...
I tried KITL Hermes unbrick method but same problems like had others on this forum, I don´t know how to turn my MTeoR to KITL debug mode because device is different like Hermes so key combination doesn´t matches with Breeze. MTTY - info 2 command show me CID: waiting interpreter failed...
Any ideas how to back life to my MTeoR?
Can I use application like MTTY? Could me help this program?

Im trying to flash my t-mobile wing and i keep getting an ERROR (270) Update Error? I have flashed rom before and it worked then went back to original t-mobile rom. I want to try a new rom, i did the exact same sets i did before but i keep getting 270 error?? Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

it's newer than 4.10 and evidently the newer IPL and SPL give your device a "kick in the pants"

Hi,forgive me if this question is redundant,but,can you flash a custom rom with this tool.I have the 3.11.3.0 htc ruu.and I have the nbh.file of the rom I want to flash inside the folder with the ruu. the bat.exe.and dll.files that came with it.Really 2 seperate questions.The 2nd being is this correct.I'd rather measure twice and cut once.Any help on this first flash atempt would be great.Thank's

ok i flashed the newer tmo ruu and it worked then i tryed to to flash the open touch rom and it gave me the same 270 error? it gets to 3% then errors out? whats the deal?

Demize- you can not flash because your device is not cid-unlocked. none of ours are. You should use the USPL to flash the .nbh file that you wish.
Alaricmucino- Are you using USPL to flash or are you using the RUU that came with the rom?

Thank you fzzyrn for your reply.Believe me I've read it,over,and,over again.But until you do it it can be a bit confusing for a noob.I'm gonna go over it again.I think I got it though now.
