Hi all,
A strange thing happens on my kaiser since I use a bluetooth headset. When a message (email, sms etc) comes in the status light turns into orange, after reading it should turn into green... well..... not with Bluetooth enabled.. it stays orange... only after a soft reset it is flashing green as usual...
Without the headset connected (so bluetooth off) it acts normally....
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mine does this even when I have bluetooth turned off, out of interest, what do you have your notifcation settings set to?

only to flash the light, no limit
however on missed calls (same settings) it works fine....
Yeah, I have it set the same, it only seems to be a problem for text messages.

on traybar right? i have the same question, but no one can answer...
I would like to know that too. Right now the only thing that i know to find if the headset is connected is to open the dial pad and see the headset icon on top right of the dial pad.
Well...howzabout the blue light that blinks? If it's blinking and your headset is on, you're prolly connected.
lol. Blue light = Blue Tooth.
Plus saves screen space.

Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with the TYTN II. I put it to vibration using the HTC home ant it is OK, vibrating when somebody calls. Then suddenly, without me changing anything, it starts ringing as if I changed it to "Normal" profile. When I look at the HTC home I see it still has the "Vibrate" profile selected. I have to press on the "Vibrate" again to make it go to vibration again.
This strange thing happens randomly (or at least I cannot find what causes it), sometimes when I have used the phone, and sometimes even when I haven't.
Any ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks.

Have you gone to Settings>Phone and set the Ring type to "vibrate and ring"?
You can also use Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications and set "Phone: Incoming call" to "Vibrate and ring"
Hope this helps
Yes, I have all the settings. I change between the "Vibrate" and "Normal" profiles when I am in meetings (vibrate only) or generally (normal, ring + vibrate). The problem is that when I set the vibrate profile, the phone automatically rings sometimes, with sound, which I don't want in a meeting.
reminders?
This problem has just started to appear on my Kaiser. It seems to show up after a reminder appears. I have turned off all sounds and reminders except calendar reminders but vibrate still gets changed to ringing. I have also used Kaiser Tweak to change the defaults.
I don't what triggered this but it seemed to start when I uninstalled FlexMail 4 and then installed Flexmail 2007 but that may be coincidence.
A real problem in meetings or in a hearing where an official can really get upset over a ringing phone.
I still don't have a solution. I don't use FlexMail (any version) so I don't think this is the problem. It could be the calendar but I have not found any connection yet.
Work around
This is by no means perfect but it will prevent embarassing moments. Try recording a "silent" ring tone and using that for your ringer. Then all you miss are phone calls. They, of course, go to voice mail.
I had a similar issue, however it was in reverse, by once choosing the automatic profile in the HTC home.
Basically the automatic feature remains active after selecting it once, so after the reminder, even if it doesn't have time if your next block of time happens to be "free" it will revert it back to ringing.
Unfortunately I never found a solution and now have a new Kaiser, which I have avoided selecting it since getting the phone.
bluetooth too
Yesterday while on a call using a handsfree bluetooth device, a calendar reminder popped up and my bluetooth connection was dropped simultaneously. The call was not dropped and I was able to turn on the handfree connection again using the menu.
Which has led me to search for these type of problems. I found a thread that addresses a way to turn off push mail notifications. I understand the same "fix" works with calendar notifications.

Here is a thread on notifications.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330872
I am now sure that the problem is connected with the calendar. It appears when I make some changes in an event (not always but in about 90% of the cases). I am synchronizing with Outlook and I think the problem appears when I change an event that was already synchronized. By "changing" I mean even dismissing the alarm when it goes off.
Any ideas what I could do?
Before my LED's short-circuited in WM6.0, I had Kaiser Notify set up and it worked great.. When I got an email or SMS the blue LED lit up, but no silly Signal or Bluetooth flickering lights.. I forget exactly what else it did, but I think I also had some lights for missed call, etc...
WM 6.1 I can't get Kaiser Notify to do anything except disable LEDs.. So I could disable the blinkies, but email/sms/etc don't seem to do anything. Same with nueLED basically, except it does start to blink the appropriate LED and never stops blinking it!
I just want something that'll stop the Signal and Bluetooth blinking, but give me some LED notification of missed call/email/im/text etc.
I use phoneAlarm as part of my standard install, Flexmail for email, and using the WM6.1 text as its threaded view so far seems fine, although I was previously using ExtremeText and could go back to it if necessary. I've tried phoneAlarm doing stuff with the LEDs or not in the "Extras" menu.
Does anyone have nueLED or Kaiser Notification working in WM 6.1, and suggestions for configuration? Other suggestions?
I've been using Kaiser Notifications and it works great. I have it notify me of missed calls and Messages. It will remind me if I don't dismiss the alert in a period of time.

Does it blink to remind you of missed calls and messages? Maybe it's arguing with phoneAlarm or something... but not giving up phoneAlarm, I'll live with no LED notifications. At least now I'm getting vibration, I didn't have that before.. heh.
my kairser notifications stopped working when i installed phonealarm also. given the two i would keep phonealarm since it seems to be the least bloated profiler out there, imo.
I recently upgraded to the latest official ROM for the Diamond and ever since then when a 3G / HSDPA connection is established the phone emits one very long vibrate and then a couple of beeps. The phone then also beeps every minute or so.
I can't find any way to switch this off and it's very annoying.
Anyone know how I can turn this off?
mine too
very annoying
When did this start happening for you?
same problem
if i recive a sms during aphone call i listen a sound and a vibration every minute...
how is possible to fix this ? ? ? ? ?

I'm not sure if that is the same problem. Does your phone also vibrate when the data connection is established?

no, sorry. my diamond dos not vibrate after data connection, i ear sms sound and vibration during a phone call from the speaker every minute....very annoing...
I found the solution to this problem. It seems even though the Connection notification sounds are turned off, the phone still gives you the alarm and vibration.
To fix do the following:
1) Goto Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications
2) Goto the Notifications tab and choose the Connection Established event
3) Tick the Play Sounds box and choose a different Alert to play
4) Go out of settings and establish a connection. You should here the sound you selected play.
5) No go back to the Notifications tab and untick the box.
Now when a connection is established you should not here any sound.
Same issue?
I think I may have the same issue as some of you, but let me make sure. My phone vibrates when a call is connected (even though that option is disabled in phone settings) and also vibrates every minute thereafter. It's annoying because the person on the other end of the conversation can here the vibration.
At first I thought it had to do with connection established/disconnected alerts, but I have since found that it happens exactly every minute, 10 seconds before every minute of call time (i.e. at 0:50, 1:50, 2:50, etc.). So I think it is some sort of minute minder or something.
Is this what you guys are experiencing?
Hi,
I've just acquir a stereo bluetooth headset "voyager 855" (I think the best one...), I've paring it to my kaiser, switch on the bluetooth ... and i've seen that my htc's power drown so fast ! less than a day to go to 0% !
I think it's 'cause that my bluetooth being always turn "on" !!!?!
So i'm looking for a software that turn "on" my bluetooth connection before "off" when a call incoming and shut it "off" when I stop to convers.
Is this soft exist or is someone be interested to developpe it ?
Thank for your answer
Unless your headset is actively connected to the phone (ie: the headset itself is on), bluetooth has a very small effect on battery life. You have a different problem.
I have the same problem with my bluetooth. I am using radio: 1.71.09.01 and have used other radios too... I have my kaiser paired with the bluetooth handsfree in my car. If I dont turn off the bluetooth on the phone when I get out of the car, the battery will go dead before the day is done. However, if I never turn on the bluetooth the whole day, it will go down to about 55%-65% by the end of the day (depending on usage).

First of all, "PhoneAlarm" (www.pocketmax.net) can do what you want to do. Switch on BT only when phone rings.
2nd, I don't think BT consume so much power. Maybe some other power hugging program? (usually Today screen plugin and/or continous data connection)
Anyway, PhoneAlarm comes with a "electric Current display" which can also help debug your power consumption.
When turning off, my Tilt consume <7mA, when screen on, (lowerest bklight) with phone radio on 200~300mA
Just for your reference
