I just replaced my Hermes by a Kaiser but I have troubles getting VoIP to work though the Ear Speaker. VoIP calls always go through the loud speaker...
It looks like a few people got their kaiser to work properly through the ear speaker. How did you manage to do that? Which ROM are you using and what drivers?
I'm using sharp 4.31 ROM and tried to setup VoIP drivers.cab, Majikvoip.cab etc. but got no chance ( it alwas go through the loud speaker ).
I believe it is a bug with the Kaiser
I have not seen any fix of late

Anyone else use nothing but normal wired stereo headphones in the Athena/Ameo/etc for phone calls?
It works excellently UNTIL, after a few minutes (seemingly at random), the microphone cuts out and no-one can hear me
I dont get the problem when using the supplied-with-the-phone microphone/earphones - but they are awful quality and fall out of my ears!
(To explain further, I plug a normal pair of headphones directly into the 3.5mm headphone socket, and use the phones internal microphone (the hole just below the windows button). I had the same problem with my out-of-the-box T-Mobile build (I have an Ameo), and still have it with my WM6 X7500 ROM (2.21.405.2) which I got onto it after using the SuperCID thing).
Hopefully theres a registry fix for this
must be a rom bug as its ok now with v2.0 of project black touch from mahmood1.com
I don't have this issue. I use the dopod u1000 SEA english rom released on july 27. I use the wired headset from my PSP.
I have same problem on my u1000,
sometime headset-microphone malfunctions, soft-reset or hard-reset cant help,
more bad,,, sound of microphone near windows logo cant send my sound well, its lag like low signal,

I've searched the threads and have read the bluetooth issues, which I am having as well. Anyone else having sound quality issues on regular ol' phone calls? Sound quality is noticably worse than the cingular 8525 I upgraded from. The caller on the other end of my Tilt sounds distant and like he is calling me from a tin can. Maybe I just got bum Tilt?

I understand the Bluetooth issues. I am having issues with voice calls WITHOUT using a bluetooth headset. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I still have problems with the speaker phone, voice coming out from kaiser not through the internal speakers, but through the loud speaker.. so annoying i have to use the included earpiece everytime i make a call...

When I talk on skype the sound comes from the speaker on the back panel. It is quite uncomfortable? How to make it , so to hear the other person from the ordinary speaker from the front panel, just like talking on the phone.

I used skype only on my Niki but couldn't make it sound on the earphone just on the back, so I decided to use the handsfree and it did the trick very well. It is even more confortable if you talk a lot on skype. The only problem is that I can't charge it when I use the handsfree. Maybe try using a handsfree via bluetooth

Guys i really need some help here. I have been having this very weird issue with my X1.
When i call people or people call me 95% of the time they cant hear me at all, suggesting a problem with microphone obviously. BUT when i put them on loud speaker (by pressing the loudspeaker on the keypad whilst on call) everything is fine. They can hear me perfectly fine.
Does the X1 have 2 microphone by any chance and 2nd get enabled when on loudspeaker? I have tried several ROMs win6.1 and win6.5 and 4 different radios all with same result.
Anyone got a clue what is going on?

When you use resco audio recorder, reset the phone and the mic should work on your next call.

I have never used resco audio recorder. Its not even installed on my phone.
When I use any audio recording on my phone it seems to cancel out the mic. For some odd reason.
