Hi all,
i have a big problem flashing a new wm6 rom to my wizard. The wizard is CID unlocked following the How to flash a new ROM to your Wizard... a little tutorial! tutorial.
I had 2 WM6 roms on my wizard - 1 of them was WM6 crossbow, which i used a couple of months - both flashed w/o any problem and worked perfectly.
Last day i decided to flash the TNT touch flo rom but the install wizard ended with error on 99%, then i tried the TNT professional + home - same result, then i tried to flash the crossbow rom - same result. Then i returned to the unlocking howto - and followed it again but i can not flash wizard_love rom (ands at 98%) and Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 (ends at 85%). I tried the whole procedure many many many times... but unfortunately the only rom i can flash w/o any problems is the t-mobile rom. Nothing else works...
Any help is highly appreciated!

succsess flashing new rom to my wizard
Hi All,
i tried to flash WRCX 2 (TouchFLO) after i flashed the t-mobile rom and i had success!!! I have it now running w/o any single problem .
As i posted above i tried the whole procedure with many other WM6 roms without luck ...
I am wondering what could be the problem here ...
My Qtek 9100 is dead after flashin new rom
After I flashed the newest rom version downloaded from official QTEK website
my 9100 has just 'died' without any signal.....
My previous rom was in spanish I tryed to put the new rom in english version something like 2....wwe and now it came a big trouble...
Somebody can help on this isue?!!

Try to get the phone in Bootloaders (multicolor screen) and flash the Rom with 'RUU_Noid' utility,you can search for this in the forum or read this thread :-

Hi Folks,
I'm having a... strange situation here. I have my G4 CID-Locked Wizard for 2 weeks (I'm in Brazil), and had the original Qtek ROM (from Tim Brazil, Brazilian Portuguese).
Reading the forum, I decided to upgrade the rom to WM6 MB Edition, using ShellTool and the nice tutorial found in the forum. Everything worked quite right, and I was a very happy user of the new WM6. Except that the MB rom was freezing every now and then.
Reading the forum (again, you guys are the source of my problems, hehehe!!), I saw that Faria release his own ROM, with lots of goodies. So, using shelltool again, I tried upgrading... except that this time my device froze on the IPL/SPL screen.
Being very calm and prepared, I flashed the previously downloaded Wizard Love ROM using the bootloader (holding the camera button) and, despite the splash screen, everything returned to normal. Except that my keyboard, although configured to Brazilian Portuguese on the registry (0416), is not performing perfectly as it was with its original ROM or the MB ROM.
So I tried to flash Faria again. It froze again on the IPL/SPL screen. After flashing Wizard Love again, I tried flashing MB ROM again. No deal, same problem... device frozen on the IPL/SPL screen. So I downloaded the original Qtek 9100 ROM from ... well, the net. Same issue.
It looks like the only ROM that works now on my device is Wizard Love. Why is that? I would love to try Faria's or Molski's ROM, but seems like my device has "fallen in Love"
BTW, I'm a novice on this and searched a lot on the forum. If anyone here could help me, I would be very thankful.

GSM: 02.25.11
OS: 2.26.10.2
BTW, if anyone has the original Brazilian Portuguese ROM for the Wizard, I would be very thankful too.

Save yourself some grief and CID unlock your phone.

I had issues using ShellTool and the Fariah ROM on my locked G4. Once I got it unlocked, the Fariah ROM flashed flawlessly.

I did everything what's in the manual, after a few minutes shelltool says Make a hard reset now. When I make the hard reset I still get the startup screen of my old rom. The language, applications and the themes of the Dutch Qtek 9100 are installed fine.
I installed the cab files and disabled the Radio module before flashing the rom. After it failed the first time I tried again but just the same

Shelltool only flashes the OS part of the DOC chip, not the splashes...

Is it possible to replace the splash screens with the screens of the rom that I'm trying to install on my Wizard ?

this is one of my first post here but I read you everytime. So, the problem now is: my P3600 don't want to flash with any rom.
I've just take it back from assistance for to change the black cover (2nd time...) and when I want to flash, as before I was given to the assistence, with udK 6.1 rom it don't want to flash with any other roms!!
I've now download the Lite version of udK 6.1 and install it but when I've discovered that I prefer the full version that's start the never ending story: I tryed to flash with Full version 2 or 3 time already, the installation goes to 100% but when it restart (should it restart not power off?!?) the rom is always the same Lite version. I tried to use also the official wm5 from HTC without manual entry into bootloaded but after flashing is 100% the rom is always udK 6.1 Lite. I have SPL Olipro 1.20 installed (in the past I've had no problems at all!)
Anyone can help me to flash (with lowest risks) my P3600 again?

What version is your Trinity? P3600 or P3600i? Just to confirm eventhough you mentioned P3600 in the subject.

it's a P3600
Do a hard reset and flash an OFFICIAL ROM from SD-card
Switch to Des' Crash Proof SPL and try flashing the ROM straight from SD card.
This should work.
thank you very much. I've already tried to change to Des Crash Proof but at about 13%-14% it gives me an error when I reboot by softreset the system is always the same. Is it normal? Is there a specific procedure to change SPL software?
If it works at all after SPL flashing, then you must have followed all procedures. Try flashing Olipro's SPL and scan for bad blocks in flash.

Make sure that your SD card it out
i flashed me wizard with a new rom and it anit my first time and it worked great but just for one day after that day my wizard shut off i tryed to open it but it never prossed after the splash screen so i trid to reat the factory defolt but it says format error so i dicided to flash an new rom thro the bootloder screen coz i thought that i had a rom colabse so i flashed several roms but every time same thing habens the rom is flashed the wizard startas but nothing happen except the sblash screen and it dosn't prossed opning but the splash screen changed but stilll the same os , ipl and spl
plz some body help me plzzzzzzzzzzzz :'(

Sounds like you flashed your G4 device with an incorrect ROM.
Have you followed the step by step instructions on upgrading (and recovering) a G4 device found in the sticky on page one?

yes i have and it anit my 1st time to flash my wizard but it was a bad rom coz from 2day the one who gave it to me said that it is colabssing with him and he flashed another rom but i was all ready ****ed up
Please post the current IPL/SPL version.
Have you tried reflashing the original factory ROM (from the Carrier your CID belongs to!)?

I got few days ago Touch Diamond2. It has WM6.1 ROM on it. I tried to upgrade with official ROM from htc.com to wm6.5 but it hangs on 18% with error "communication error". Phone turned on in recovery mode. After that i tried flashing with custom roms but no luck again. It hangs on HTC screen when booting and nothing happens. I flashed it back with shipped 6.1 ROM from HTCpedia and it started normal.
When i start it in boot load mode it states 1.33 Olinex SPL. Do i need to put original hardSPL before upgrading to official ROM or there is something else i am missing?

I think it could, try it !
Doesn't the official WM6.5 ROM update include an embedded SPL though? Although if flashing from official ROM to custom ROM or vice versa you'd definitely need to update HSPL.

Please Read Carefully the instruction for installing HSPL 1.83 or better to upgrade it to 2.51.OliNex.Make Sure U Have a internet connection on as hspl needs internet to install.
