I just flashed my Qtek 9100 with the T-mobile rom "RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe" from the ftp. I have tested a lot of different roms without trouble. But after the flash my Qtek is stuck at the bootscreen just displaying

Tried a hardreset and it says format complete but after a reboot I am stuck at the bootscreen again. I am terrified - can I make my beloved qtek to work again or is it just a piece of expensive junk now ?
Sorry, stupid me I was as easy as start in USB mode and reflash and it booted normally again

I am in the same situation now..
I am trying to re-flash the original ROM now, enter the booloader menu by holding voice-dial+CAMERA while resetting. then connect USB an try to re-flash.. It works for 30 minutes now without luck, I don't know what to do either... HELP!!
and a hint to those that are NEW: if you want to screw up your device, play with ROM upgrades... you will end up like us..

PLEASE help me, what utility did you use to reflash?
Just press the camerabutton and reset and then you will come to the USB mode and then just used the flash utility file again and start the flash again and then it shall work.
I used the RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe form the ftp once again and it worked

doesn't work form me because I didn't unlock before it crashed.. now I can't re-flash it..
ok, but then use the right official flash for your device - if it is a qtek use a qtek flash or imate if it is an imate device. The most flash files is available on the ftp.

Another question: did RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe upgrade your radio ROM as well? what machine do you own? I think of flashing it eventually as well..

Yes the t-mobile upgraded everything - but it has a lot of crap in the extended rom that I don´t like and with the new rom versions it doesn´t seem possible to delete anything from the extended rom.
So I will flash it again when a newer flash from qtek is available. Tried the Qtek_9100_1_6_7_ENG.zip rom but it is just OS - I dont like the idea of using OS from Qtek and the rest of the software from some other brand.

I don't like the crap either but I found someone's suggestion to soft reset the device just before installing software from extended ROM (just after aligning screen). I just had to install some CAB's manually to get MMS support etc.

I tried that but I didn´t got the mms to work with that but then I shall make another try with that!
I installed Shortcut-MMS1-JAVA6XX-CV-VOICE-EmailWiz-TMO-03Nov05.CAB to get MMS support. I also installed coouple of CABs that had "Camera" in the name hoping it will improve camera functionality or something
I assume that in hardware there are not more differences between Herald and Wizard than between Charmer and Prophet.
So what problems will I have if I flash only OS part of Herald ROM to my Wizard (except missing camera and another keyboard layout)

You can try it. If you will flash only OS part, you will NOT change your device into a brick i mean

There is no official AKU3.x ROM for Wizard, but Herald is official "AKU3.x device" and i suppose that in hardware these models are quite similar.. So maybe there is no need to use cooked AKU3.x ROMs and i can use Herald's OS

After that i saw these on my splash screen:
IPL:2.26
SPL:2.26
GSM:2.25.11
(blank)
OS: 1.20
My wizard didn't boot, so i reflashed it back to my AKU3.2.1. If i have more free time, ill try once more to prepare heralds rom for wizard

im remember one guy who said he flashed his prophet with aku3.2 rc1 (wizard) (the first aku3.2 rom on this forum) and he said that only camera doesnt works.

Hi all,
I tried to upgrade my MDA compact II (HTC Charmer) to WM6, but during the first step, downgrading to the "no vendor" version I made a mistake. A used a wrong version, it was for Prophet. After the final reboot, the device froze in the splashscreen "T-Mobile". After that I tried to do exactly the same with a "Charmer" version, but it didn't help me, the situation was the same.
However, now I'm able to flash successfully only the last vendor provided ROM update "RUU_Compact_ll_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship.exe", but it doesn't help me anyway, my Charmer is still freezing in the splashscreen. I tried to downgrade it , but the application gives the following error: "UPGRADE ONLY". When I try to make a hard-reset, and after that to confirm the factory settings by pressing "Yes" (green) button, the result is "Format FAT partition" and then "format is failed".
Only the bootloader is working now as well as the battery charging. Please, help me to turn back to the life my Charmer!
And one additional question: can I perform a CID unlocking just by ROM-flashing or the device must be fully operable?

I am a new use an recently got an MDA PM200. I am in exactly the same situation as petrun. I have tried the flash suggested by vlodeck but it doesn't work, saying incorrect vendor ID (I guess that's because it's for a Prophet?).

After that I succeed to format the FAT partition (finally ). But I cannot after all to flash the latest official MDA compact II firmware. There is two possible events, which I experienced:
1. When I try to use the original flashing application, I get the following response: "UPGRADE ONLY".
2. When I try to flash the official MDA compact II ROM, but through the "No ID" application, I get "INVALID COMMAND".
Just for explication, now my device cannot boot, it freezes in the splashscreen (it is Qtek now, not T_Mobile...) and the following versions could be read:
IPL 2.06
SPL 2.20.0000
GSM 02.47.21
OS 2.20.7.34
So, how I can do that? What should I do further? I would like to unlock my Charmer, but should I firstly make it operable?

Incredibly, but it's a fact! After successfull FAT formating I probably didn't wait long enough. Today I turned on my Charmer and several seconds after the splashscreen "QTEK" it successffully booted in WM5, performed all settings and finally started to work!
It's GSM module works, the Bluetooth works, I am able to start different applications. Just the camera does not work. And the most strange thing for me is that this ROM was for Prophet, not for Charmer
So, after all, how to proceed to upgrade to WM6? Now the bootloader is above ver.2.
Should I firstly flash it with proper ROM (for Charmer) or it's not necessary?
Should I unlock it as is now (Prophet ROM)?
Vlodeck, I rely mostly on you, since the WM6 with Touch FLO is your creation.

You dont have to CID unlock. Just flash that WWE T-mobile WM5 AKU2 for Charmer. Good luck.
Maybe I am boring, but steel need an advice: I cannot flash "WWE T-mobile WM5 AKU2".
1. The original RUU gives me "UPGRADE ONLY", maybe because my SPL after flashing the Prophet ROM is 2.20
2. This "NO ID RUU":

If you cant flash the AKU 2 charmer rom, then go for AKU3.3 rom (can be german, that doesnt matter). Once done that, flash wm6.

In order to flash this, you should enter the bootloader, without using the ActiveSync. After that try to perform a hard reset, you probably will succeed to format the FAT partition.

I have a charmer and I was trying to update to wm6. I can´t because the ipl is 1.12. I updated rom to german aku 3.3. But I can´t hard reset. format error. I´m trying to put prophet rom to format it, but when I send the prophet rom, it always give me an error at 95%. error 326 - this nbf file cannot be used fo your pda phone. please check your nbf file. the aku3.3 rom flashes ok. any idea?? I try tu send a radio rom. after that is the same. 95%error. please help. I can´t bring my charmerback to life.

I could not recover my device until now with the method explained in this thread cause of the problems "error 326 - This nbf file cannot be used for your pda phone". So the Prophet Rom does not seem to work with boot loader 3.x. Has anyone any idea? Please help! Thank you very much in advance!

Hi all,
i have a big problem flashing a new wm6 rom to my wizard. The wizard is CID unlocked following the How to flash a new ROM to your Wizard... a little tutorial! tutorial.
I had 2 WM6 roms on my wizard - 1 of them was WM6 crossbow, which i used a couple of months - both flashed w/o any problem and worked perfectly.
Last day i decided to flash the TNT touch flo rom but the install wizard ended with error on 99%, then i tried the TNT professional + home - same result, then i tried to flash the crossbow rom - same result. Then i returned to the unlocking howto - and followed it again but i can not flash wizard_love rom (ands at 98%) and Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 (ends at 85%). I tried the whole procedure many many many times... but unfortunately the only rom i can flash w/o any problems is the t-mobile rom. Nothing else works...
Any help is highly appreciated!

i tried to flash WRCX 2 (TouchFLO) after i flashed the t-mobile rom and i had success!!! I have it now running w/o any single problem .

Try to get the phone in Bootloaders (multicolor screen) and flash the Rom with 'RUU_Noid' utility,you can search for this in the forum or read this thread :-

Is my K-Jam totally bricked?
It is now stuck up in bootloader screen.
I am able to swtch it off with power button. I can also have first flash screen.
On connecting with USB port, it shows yellow light indicating that it is charging & that over a period of time, goes green.
Earlier I had flashed TNT ROM but while reflashing newer it got stuck up as after flashing, I tried to hard reset [mistakenly thought ROM is flushed fully] & could not go further after initail first screen.
Other details:

SPL:2.16
GSM:02.07.10
O.S.:11.0.0.2

Nopes ! its not 'Bricked' just had a bad flash. As long as it gets into bootloaders ,its perfectly safe. Perhaps,your phone is not CID unlocked ?
Download the official carrier's rom from its website and flash it in the bootloaders,it'll start to work fine.Then read the guide to cid unlock and upgrade.

i am having serious problems with my kjam.i installed black diamond's rom and now my phone boots upto the splash screen where it shows window mobile 6 and gets stuck there.
i have tried a soft spl, but it doesnt help as the phone cant connect or move from the splash screen.also, i can make call or do anything with the phone.
can someone assist me and also point me to a place where i can find the lastest tnt rom.

Always post vital data of the phone,which is your device G3 or G4.Have you Tried Soft Reset or Hard Reset.it sometimes help.
Well,if it's a G3,is it SIM/CID unlocked,cuz its required to get the phone CID unlocked to upgrade to wm6,but if its a G4,then use method 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL' as it cannot be CID unlocked.
Post IPL/SPL...? of the phone here.
You can find all the latest wm6 Roms in 'Wizard Mobile 6' forum.

'Hard Reset' the phone,hope it'll work fine.
Well,I assume,you cudn't do the SoftSPL correctly the first time,try to apply the SpftSPL again correctly,if it works,ok,otherwise you can upgrade to wm6 with HardSPL method.

3- yes correct I did softspl with whit coulor screen then connected to pc and did toast that .
also I have problem to connect wst 4.2.2 to my ppc.
I download it and run, but the software couldent detect my fhone I dont know why .I connet it from bootloader 3coulor but nothing happen and so on.
could you please to explain how can I work with wst 4.2.2 also very important how to connect that because it says I have to connection with activesync .
