The "So, have any past experience with previous Sony Ericsson phones?" thread.
I started out with the meager p800, and have to say that that phone past a huge milestone in cellphone history. The p900 was the a good sucessor as well, and I have had the p910 too.
I think the p910 had superb build quality, and well---was a good phone.
Then I moved on to the p990---although it had bugs, and crashed more than it's predecessors, it still did what it was meant to do, which was to be a good phone.
I skipped the p1i...and jumped into the X1.
So far, Xperia X1 is a good phone, with lot's of options, especially if you custom flash it!
I think Sony Ericsson has and still makes very well phones.
Err, accidently posted this under ROM development.. can a MOD... change this
?
I started with the t230 moved to the k700i. Both were good phones but quite simple. After that I had the W850i. That phone was great but when I saw the Xperia X1 for the first time at the barcelone mobile conference I knew it for sure. I must have that phone. So then I got the xperia x1. After all I think this is the best phone I had. It really can do everything and I can cook my own roms. So it's great.
K790c, W810i, W580i(2), C902, W760a, X1a
All dependable and excellent to mod.
K790c remains the best "phone" only. Awesome reception after mod to quad band.
X1a most versatile, obviously
Started with :
T637
P910
P990
and then
X1
Just w810i, from Sony Ericsson.
It was rock solid, well designed, and when customized, was very capable. I then migrated to Hermes and Kaiser products which didn't look or feel as good.
Now I have X1a which looks and feels much better... but it is not the sturdy brick I loved before (I still miss that w810i sometimes). I gave it to my girlfriend, and I offered to buy her a new phone, but she really likes it.
Anyone else remember that phone as fondly as I do?
The last phone I had was the w810. It lasted me a good 3 years before the screen shattered the day before my X1i arrived in the mail. It was like it knew it's time was up...
Before that, I had a K750 (virtually the same as the w810 with that massive camera slider) a t610 and a t237.
T230
K700i
K750
(N95)
Now X1a
I miss my K750 sometimes too, SMS software unbeaten so far for me, and very capable is the right word for it.
K750i > K800i > K810i > K850i > P1i > X1i
All of the phones are awesome but the best build quality for me had K800i )
Started with the K700, then K800, then K850, finally the X1. All of them heavily modded.
I still use my k850 as a digicam. Will probably be sticking with the X1 for a long time. My only frustration is the camera drivers are not as easily moddable as my previous "dumb" phones.
Started with P990i then X1, great phones
I have been and still am a longtime fan of SE phones.
The first one was the humble T310. It was pretty advanced for its time.
Then came a succession of other SE phones: T610 > T630 > W700i and now it's the X1i
I started with the Ericsson T60d and absolutely loved the phone. Since then I have been hooked on SE.
- Ericsson T60d
- Sony Ericsson T610
- Sony Ericsson W810i
- Sony Ericsson G705
- Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
I love SE
t36-k700i-k750-k800-p1-x1
the best was t36 then k800(best quality)
im so happy with x1,lots of soft, app but bed hardware quality
Oh, let me think now, i go a way back.
Ericsson:
GA628
T10
T18
T20 (2 of them, one as backup)
T28
T39 - still have it, excellent battery in the wild.
T68 (2 of them, one as backup)
Sony Ericsson:
T610- still have it
K700 (2 of them, one as backup), still have one.
P990 - still have it
P1
X1
As i think of it, i've personally had only one Nokia that sucked (3310). Samsungs just suck (i hate neon colours and childish sounds).

...same here, but with a T28 first
Woa, nice to see all this SE history. I think my favorite SE phone of all time was either the p990 or the p910.
for me W800i, K800i, G900i & X1i
W800i - beautiful phone but mine have bluetooth issue
K800i - fast and lovely camera
G900i - slim and fast but camera sucks
X1i - beautiful, stylish and this forum made it 3x as good as the original
Long time SE fan
Well, I have always loved Sony Ericsson / Ericsson fan.
They have the best battery life, and all good buildt.
Had the T686 and T868 I think. Good brickphones.
Then it became Sony Ericsson.
T68i, T610i, K700, S700, K750i, K800i, K850i, and finally the X1.
Gotta say; I have always loved SE phones.
T65 - t310 - t630 - w550 - w880 - x1
Sony makes pretty good TVs, so why doesn't sony manufacture their own displays for the phone?
I think you will find that the panels in Sony tv's is not made by Sony. It's more likely to be a Samsung or LG or even other make

Hello guys, I always follow you and find a lot of interesting stuffs in here!! Today I wanna ask you a thing: Xperia Z3 or Z4?? A read all the differences between the two devices, and I'd like to know if it's worth buy an xperia Z4 insted o the Z4. I mean, about the Z3 I like the battery, it's a little bigger, and I like even the processor just beacuse the one Z4 has (snapdragon 810) let me think about all the problem and issues that it had in this period (overheating), but it's even a 64 bit processor, so I think it's better. I even like more, in the Z4, the speaker, the position of them. Long story short:
Xperia Z3 Pro:
major capacity of the battery
the processor, never had overheating
of course the price, lower than Z4
avaiable in italy
Xperia Z4 Pro:
the processor (yes, powerfull, 64bit, but the overheating? just a nightmare?)
the position of the speaker (I did not test them, about quality of sound and volume)
it's thinner
is it avaiable in italy and compatible with all the phone lines?
PS: it's better wait for the Xperia Z5 (rumors said that it will arrive about in september)
Sorry for my english and for the bad way of writing....That is a post to ponder and reflect all together about the best purchase!!
regars guys thanks you
It is good to always get a new phone instead of old model, because after 2 years, your phone will also sell in lower price compare to the new one you buy.
It's Z3+

If want to show the world that you have the latest and the greatest, go for the Xperia Z3+ (Xperia Z4) otherwise Z3 is your best bet. There aren't many improvements in Z3+ when we compared it to old Z3, and also I'm not sure it will get released in Italy or not.
Today I read that xperiq z3+ will be released in Italy. Anyway I'd prefer the z3, both for the price and for the specifics that are not so far from the new model, I don't trust so much the capless usb, but there's the quick charge....[emoji14] I think I'm gonna wait a little longer

I completely agree!
Info
New Phone can be better in some aspect But that doesn't mean worth to buy
If you don't have concern about money so buy Z4 but you need to list wht u need from a phone?
Z4 may have over heating problem but as others said abt Z1 u can put into ICE
but for me as Z2 user none of Z3 & Z3+ worth for upgrade But i would choose Z3+ to buy

Xperia Z4, actually the Xperia Z3+; maybe the rumor Z5 is actually the Z4
Z4 is the z3+
In japan or china is the z3+ renamed into z4
The phone shop here told it also
Z3 does not overheat?
Who in the world told you that?
My Z3 constantly reduces display brightness and SOC speed when playing games or streaming videos...and try 4K recording for few minutes...
I think that the Xperia z3 would be a better buy considering the problem about overheating. the price will be even lower since the new Xperia is coming
Hi there,
I am looking for a new smartphone, as my current one (Xperia Z, 2 years) has a display damage and I think, replacing the display doesn't make any sense, as it would cost a lot.
I have these smartphones in my list:
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
I would like to have:
A good battery life
A good camera
My maximum budget is 400€.
Thanks for helping me out
Which of these would You recommend?
If you want a powerful phone, stay away from the Samsung galaxy s5 mini.....Its nowhere near as strong as the Sony xperia z1/z3 compacts....tho its just my opinion...now to answer your real question, well first of all, are you picky on pricing? If so, go for the Sony Xperia Z1 compact since its pretty cheap nowadays with high specs. I used to own one but i sold it and now using a Sony xperia Z2 which is pretty good i guess. If you not too picky on pricing, then go for the Sony Xperia Z3 compact. Personally, the camera on both the compacts are pretty much the same......if you really want a legit answer, check out reviews between the compacts on google. As for best battery, Z3 compact is obviously the winner. Its known to be the king of battery.......If i had to recommend which phone is right for you, just go for the Sony Xperia Z3 compact, you won't regret it. Also there is a pretty nice deal for the Sony xperia Z3 compact but be aware that the deal is gotta end very very soon. Its on eBay, i will give you the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-Xperia...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item463e2935dc
Thank you for your constructive answer!
I will buy the Z3 Compact. ^^
