I made a post about this before but never received an answer. I looked for a post in search but found similiar problems but no answers.
How do we stop the lag from clicking on icon to icon in the TF3D menu?
I'll click on an icon and get a huge lag before the screen catches up to whatever icon I clicked on. I did the #1 (and another, can't remember what the number was) mod on the list but it makes TF3D faster but still have the same problem.
It's terrible waiting for the screen to completely open once you click on a icon.
The other problem I have is when I use activesync (mobile device center) to view some pictures I took, when I copy and paste them on to my laptop desktop, they have the wrong date and time stamp on them.
My laptop and cell phone show the correct date and time but when you view the copy and pasted files, the date is a day ahead with a completely different time.
What the hell did I miss to do that? LOL
Thanks guys, fix these two items and this will be the best HTC product I've owned.
Thanks,
Mark
I found that disabling the TF3D phonepad speeds things up allot...
( I forgot where to do that, but do a search and you will find it )
And I have taken away the music tab and the internet tab with 'Diamond TF3D Config'...

I also use 'Diamond Advance Config by Boinger66' to tweak it a little...

Not that the ROM I have now is terrible but,
Just me wanting to have everything working perfect...
Hello,
First i want to thank everybody for sharing their knowledge on this forum, i bought my D2 recently and iv'e almost configured just the way i like it. I just have a small annoyance in the Calender function:
When i add a new appointment it fills in some standard values, like time begin-end 12:00h - 13:00h and 15 minutes reminder & status: busy.
Is there anyway to change these standard values? i've tried finding corresponding register values but i can't find them. Does anyone know where i can find them. Or is it in a file?
I've considered some other calendar programs, but i really like how the standard calender looks, its slick.
I also tried the app called gekonewcall
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=434760
Which is a nice program but it needs some final additions to fully replace the standard "new appointment"
Does anyone know how the change this??
I hope i'm not the only one who's so whiny about this
Thx in advance
-Drosh7
Does GekoNewCal work on D2? It says "require VGA res", is it still compatible with the WVGA???
Ok, I tried it, it does indeed work... With a white square in the bottom of the screen area due to the screen size difference
Neat app.. But the dev seems to be dead..

Yes indeed, if he had made the changes he said he would in his upcoming release the app would be totally awesome. Now it feels a little unfinished
Still hope someone knows a way to change the values in the standard calendar tool. Would really love it to be able to quickly add appointments.
I've poked around the forums and got to playing with the various taskbar replacements and they look really nice. Although everyone I have installed doesn't replace the start button icon, and [not sure if it's called this] the signal strength icon. All of the other icons get changed out no problem. The various packs i've downloaded, all QVGA compatible, too many to name here... I would make sure by checking the thumbnails that those particular icons are changed in whatever pack I download.
I have gone through the posts to see if there's any fixes for this and some have suggested installing "sdkcerts.cab" and a couple other ones all to no avail. Any ideas on this one, I really dislike the M$ logo for reasons that I don't want to into now but any suggestions on how to fix this minor issue would help satisfy my aesthetic tastes.
By the way I am using a T-Mobile Wing running the Aft3rShaved rom. Sorry Rim1flex, your rom is cool but I'll stick with the earlier 6.5 build for now... side issue though. To add this matter has prevailed on all other roms I've used. It's not a matter of life and death to resolve the matter but it is a curiosoty thing.
Thanks to all the cooks who have the time to do what I wish I could do
Just to change the windows logo on the start bar? Well the only thing I can think of is a program called Icon Demarrer. Google it or search the forums, you should find it. It changes only the start icon and the wait animation.
it's just the windows start logo and the signal icon that aren't changing that one cab u suggested was another one of the cabs I have tried but to no avail.
Dear Chefs,
thank you for all great work you have done so far!
I use the Energy ROM for about two months and I'm stunned about all the great features he provide.
However, there is one thing I can't stand: The lack of appointment- and task snoozing other then 5 minutes. This makes the remind function almost useless.
My German t-mobile branded TP2 (called: MDA Vario V) came with the option to snooze appointments and tasks by a selectable time. So I could choose remind me in one or half Hour for example or one day and many other options, rather than dismiss it over and over again every 5 minutes. This is really bugging me.
I found a fix from crackwhore but it seems to be not compatible with the current windows mobile 6.5 ROMs.
Because it is so important to me and, as I noticed, to many, many others I want to post a reward and invite everybody who want this feature to join me by posting how much you are willing to donate to the person who find a solution and share it with the community
A proper solution would be a fix that works for the latest generation of WM6.5 ROMs and it would be great to have it already cooked into the popular ROMs, including Energy ROM.
So if somebody finds a solution, everybody who joined me is asked to donate the promised amount to the person who provided the solution.
I start off with a offer of 10$
Feel free to join me and make suggestion.
And please be true to your word: Don't offer something you are not willing to donate.
Current Offers (25.10.2009 01:25 UTC):
10 US-$
and

Why dont you ditch MS with another commercial application in the market? Couldn't you able to find one? I dont remember it but there was a program like this. Google it I suggest.
You can set the "reminder" time as any minutes/hours/days when you add an appointment. Am I missing something here?
NVM, I solved it! I was able to replace the new Notification.dll that handles the notification bubbles with an old, stock one. See the next post for the solution I made!
Question
Did your stock German ROM have the notification manager, where you'd click the taskbar, and it brings up that full screen? And also, did it have the skinned notifications, like the EnergyROM does? Please just describe exactly how the stock ROM handled the notifications, describe it visually.
Information
I researched this for 5 hours, and I was trying to do this: I wanted to make the Notification Panel remain (Full screen when you click on Taskbar), BUT, I wanted to use the standard Windows Mobile notification popups, because those allow you to snooze better. Well, that's not possible, from what I could tell. It's either all or nothing, you can't mix Microsoft's and HTC's notification system.
Solution
So, you have to disable the entire thing, which means you won't have the finger friendly notification system when tapping on the top taskbar. You can find the registry to disable Notification Manager here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4125405&postcount=3
Advanced Notifications Power Snooze Appointments!
I solved it!! It's CABbed up, and available on my website, Wingster.
Get your solution here: http://thewingster.com/advancednotifications.aspx
And if you want to donate, then follow the link on the bottom of my Wingster website, or use this link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=5401195
Maybe I should have waited longer, for the bounty to increase! Nah, I did this mostly for myself, but it did end up taking 5 hours! I hate registries!
How I Created It
I found the old NotificationLayout.dll, and used that one for handling the notification bubbles! This brings back the old WinMo notification style popups, but it also keeps the finger friendly notification panel! Win-win!
Imagine how fast the world is, I wish you could solve my break off with GF such a fast.
Have Fun, Cheers
Sunny
the solution that brings the old popups up, has been around since my touch x 6.0 and that is since december last year...
well well well......
Awesome. I had used the crackwhore one and it worked but this is better

FYI, crackwhore's is a better solution it doesn't eliminate the repeat function so what happens you get the alarm one time which was just as big a concern that I've had with some of the ROMs.

Lol dam. Wasted that effort for nothin? lol. Well we can add mine to the collection of CABs that do the exact same thing as the other
Hi,
sorry for the delay, but university was keeping me extremely busy this week.
However I'm glad you found a solution. It's so unimaginably convenient to be able to snooze the alarm!
However would it be possible to add some options? There is still room on the display for one option isn't it?
Very handy would be having options like four and twelve hours (half day).
I would rather surrender 10 minutes while already having 5 and 15 minutes.
(or maybe better: surrender 15 minutes while keeping 10)
However the current stage of development is already great and of cause I will stand my word of donating 10 bucks.
I invite everybody who like this fix to also support him since he was fair enough of not "waiting" for the bounty to increase first and he's doing a great job with his website anyway.
Best Regards, Time
PS: You are talking about other - already existing - solutions? I only found crackwhores fix and didn't get it to work. Well now I have a great one-click-solution I won't surrender ... would be just interesting to know.

By next week I will flash my ROM anyway so I could flash the stock ROM in between and check if that helps. Interested?

Yea, flash the stock German ROM, and see how that operates. It'd be very interesting if they kept the advanced snooze options while keeping the slick notification style too.
I think that editing the DLL's is impossible though, but I guess it'd be worth a try. My initial goal was to keep the skinned notifications but add the snoozing. That'd be the optimal goal, and I will try to see if that can be done!

Yourestarted your phone after installing it, right? Maybe his ROM has some different notification system...I could try to look into it if you can confirm it still didn't take effect after a restart.

You dont even need to make a .cab file, just give me some guidance on how to replace the .dll you mentioned in your post that worked

Well.....
First, download This File, unzip it, and place the DLL in the \Windows directory of your phone.
Now, here's where it may be different, apparently. Using a registry editor (like PHM Registry), try to find the string that is called CustomUIDLL and contains NotificationLayout.dll.
That string key should be located under HKLM/System/Shell/Notification/OEM, however since the CAB didn't work, Valkyrie must have changed the location of the registry key. See if you can find it. Once you do, change the string value to: "NotificationLayoutOld.dll"
Hopefully that'll get it working!

OK.
Under HKLM/System/Shell/Notification/OEM i have one folder named "reminder" and 3 other items named "default", " customUIDLL", and "userdefaultUI"
if i click on customUIDLL the string already reads "NotificationLayoutOld.dll" ( iguess from when I applied the .cab file) so there is nothing to change!
Also here is a screenshot of the contents in the HKLM/System/Shell/Notification/OEM/reminder folder that I mentioned above
should i be editing the autodismissextendedduration file?
BTW I forgot to mention that when i install the cab file instead of "snooze' at the bottom bar I get the "menu' on the right and also another symbol on the left (like a phone with an 'x' next to it" but if i click on any of them the notification goes away and does not come back
So in essence the .cab works (because it points it to something else) but the location it point to, doesnt contain the necessary file to show up when you click on the the "menu' icon or the other icon that comes up SORRY I DIDNT MENTION THAT EARLIER BUT I WASNT AWARE OF IT TILL NOW.....
Hi folks;
OK here is a jump right in situation.. Suppose using the EnergyROM ver. " Energy.RHODIUM.29005.Sense2.5.Cookie.Dec.13 " you wanted to use some of the Home Screen graphics? Nor I have found all thegraphics for the flip clock and that works great changing the manila files in Photoshop CS5.
The one Gramhic I can't find guessing at the bars and testing is the one thats just under the main tip curtain and your location, etc. and it's the one thats rolled and small vertically, I'll just say the humpped up one? has the small line vertically in it and has on the rght the Alarm on or off and on the left the date... There now...whew..
OK I am trying to find the file name of that little graphic in eith manils or the theme name? Driving me nuts as I am trying to make the graphic background for that area flat and dart like the Sencity themed ROM.
If any one can give a little hand here I would really appreciat it!!!
Sincerey
Automan
I honestly have no clue what you're talking about. Can you post a screen shot with the item in question circled?
Oh, finally understood what you're asking for, will upload the files in question in a minute.
The Images are attached in both PNG & QTC format. The PNG filenames have notes to which part they are for. There are 6 images in total. These are my already skinned files btw, just a note.
drkfngthdragnlrd;
I wanted to personally thank you for the link to the Sencity images. I have them working and did a little touch up on them and made them look even better than before.
Sorry it took me some time t get back to you with this but I am in Flight Status Readiness runs right now and having to tighten up some of the marines and Navy pilots to get ready for a few things that may spring up..
I have already issued the new Manila sections to the teams an they have already mentioned that when dimmed it works perfectly!!
Think of what color youhave to make the Home Screen so that it was Dark with little Ambient out put and be very visible wit infra-red eyes?? That's a good one.
The way I do it is using the real thing and looking at the screen, but anyone can see it with the red lense of a pair of ZZ Top 3D Glasses for the 3d movies and use the red lense..
I really thank you for all the help.
Now I tring to get my hands on the STOCK HTC Icons for the phone, so that I can redo them for our needs. Are there any out on XDA as a set??
Thanks Again!!
Sincerely
Col. L.A. Hutcheson
aka Automan
drkfngthdragnlrd;
I forgot to ask you one more question on this ROM?? Is there any of the Original Start Icons out there on XDA " I have been looking " for them that come with the Stock ROM on the HTC web site for the Tilt2 flip out keyboard or actually it's just the new Touch Pro2. I just need the Images for the folders and the start sections.
I did find the stock "Check Boxes" & "ATT_Blue_Sense_Switches_and_Highlights", but I am just missing the original Start Folders and apps. If I get them I am going to change them to what color I need and not have any of then Shinny like Apple Button's..
If you know and can do more link to me I would greatly appreciate it.. Seems like you know where most of these type things are..
Thanks again for all the help..
Sincerely

I would suggest downloading Ervius Visual Kitchen. You can then dump the stock ROM of your choice to get said files. Also get WinRAR or 7Zip, with either you can "unzip" the ROM exe to get the .nbh file which you'll need to dump with the kitchen. Sense you want a stock set of icons, just go to HTC's website & get the ROM from there.
Merry Christmas drkfngthdragnlrd!!!
Thanks for the info, and I think I will jump that direction on the kitchen as if I need a new project, but it sounds interesting..Appreciate it.. I did call HTC Support yesterday and low and behold the support guy I talked with is here close to my home base and her spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get all of the image files from their stoch ROM and at about 6:00 pm est. time he called and emailed me a link.
I only have one small question for you now if you have the time.
The 20th of Dec. ENergyROM's have a problem it looks like on the post, that mentions getting rid of the Appointment Widget or something like that, I can do that, but I need to know if there is somewhere on the cell plone where you turn off the " XDA_UC "??
Here is the tweet posted on the Twitter site about the latest 20th Dec. ROM....
Note:
It seems having the tasks widget on the homescreen makes CHT 2.0 unstable and crash Sense. Remove the tasks widget if u dont have tasks .
So it's mentioned on the install section to dis-able XDA_UC before doing a task 29..
This ROM was blowing my mind...If you see the news or read it on MSN the Korea problem is getting worse by the day, I am going to get this coloring and darkening on this ROM and gt it out to my Troops ASAP. We are now officially on Active Call.... That's not good, it's cold as He** over ther now and we and most of our troops have been in the desert reagion's too long...Problem sinario...
Thanks and Take Care and have a Great Holiday!!! I really do appreciate all the help you have given me...!! I could't have pulled this idea off with out your help..
Now I just have to get the Dec. 20th version running as some of the CHT files and others have changed..
Not a problem there I have already seperated the images into different dir's and will mostly set-up a Photoshop Action to do what I need...
Sincerely
Col. L.A. Hutcheson

I don't know about disableling XDA_UC, but there should be information in it's thread. I don't use Task29 myself, I use a stock RUU. If you download a Stock ROM, it's a self extracking exe/zip. I manually unzip it & delete the nbh files in there & than add the custom ROM nbh to that folder. Now when I run the RUU that was inside, it flashes the custom ROM while doing a full format of the ROM Chip. Been doing this for over a year now & never have any kind of bad flash issues. Never need to Hard Reset after flashing, never need to do Task29 or Flashing Stock/etc.
