I was going to upgrade my Qtek 9100 to some nice WM 6.1 version here and I followed the guide but I forgot to check my IPL/SPL, I only checked my version in the 9100 and it said 2.1 xxx so I thought I had an older version that wasnt G4 but when I ran the downgrade rom and the update application said something about that I had an old update utility. My 9100 rebooted and now it has hanged at the update screen and it says IPL 2.17.0001 and SPL 2.17.0001 which means its bricked and there is no way of ever getting it to work?

You are just one lucky guy,if its stuck on bootloaders (tricolor screen) with ipl/spl displayed,then you just got saved.otherwise,it shud have 'Bricked' the phone.As long as it gets into bootloaders (tricolor),its safe. Always remember,you cannot downgrade or SIM/CID unlock a G4 device like this as a G3 device,infact,a G4 device can not be cid unlocked at all.If you want to upgrade to a wm6 rom,read and follow the guides in G4 forum 'Stickied' as 'HardSPL' and 'SoftSPL'.
Now to recover back,download the official carrier's rom from its website or download the wizard_love_rom and flash it in bootloaders,it'll recover back and start to work,and then go for upgrade as per guides mentioned above.

I just upgraded my QTEK 9100 with the latest RIsidoro rom and have now a 2.26 OS but...always an ipl 1.03 and a spl 1.03.0000.
The device hangs and I can't have any activsync runnuing to reflash to an other version. How can I recuperate my PPC?

When having problems with Rom Upgrades you really need to provide as much information as possible about your situation.
Please state the following:
What Rom did you have prior to upgrading, include IPL/SPL numbers.
Do you know if your device is G3 or G4 flash chip?
Is your device CID Unlocked?
Have your read (thoroughly) the instructions provided for the Rom you attempted to upgrade?
My initial guess would be that the Rom you flashed doesn't include IPL/SPL (as Risidoro clearly states in the Original Post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276700)
In this case, you need to flash one of the Operator provided AKU 2.x Roms to get your IPL/SPL up to 2.x BEFORE you flash Risidoro's Rom to your device.

Before flashing I had following situation
IPL 1.03
SPL 1.03.0000
GSM 1.410.0
OS 1.37.10
I didn't saw the thread wher it said that the isodoro flash wasn't a complete one. So I upgraded the device with this rom on the above config
After flashing with Isodoro I have same IPL and SPL no GSM anymore and OS 2.26...
I have no USB connection anymore, I supose I can not flash anymore. The device is extremely slow. The only rescue I see is eventualy to flash the device again with the mini SD.
Before I started the first flash I did a CID unlock. Actualy i don't now if it is locked again.

I'm going to give you some general info but you will have to do your own leg work to put this together.

I am assuming that your device is not properly CID Unlocked (although it may be doing it again will not harm your device).
First you will need to download an Operator Rom, I would suggest this one:
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Prodigy_1060701_101_11310_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
as it is an official Qtek AKU 1.x Rom.
Second place your Device into Bootloader Mode (search on it) and run the update that you downloaded.
At this point you are pretty close to where you were when you started.
Now, CID Unlock your Phone! Use this thread:

If you have followed the instructions and everything went okay then you can now flash any of the Roms you (except one that are marked as G4 only since you appear to have a G3 Device).

Looks like you flashed a 2.xx rom with no bootloader into a 1.xx system.
First try a full 2.xx rom from a carrier (cingular 2.25 comes to mind) then reflash the rom you want. Be careful playing with the phone in the current state as the battery will drain and not re-charge. I had to have a friend charge my battery for me when I did this same thing.

I have read the guides to unlocking and from what I see there are none that work on 3.xx SPL/IPL. I was able to downgrade the IPL but never the SPL.
I have seen several threads that say if you flash button rom (several times) it will eventually downgrade the SPL also, but all night as I worked I flashed the button ROM (about 12-15 times) and still can't downgrade the SPL from the 3.08, only IPL goes to 1.01
Tried the original Cingular ROM and it isn't accepted (I think because I have a higher SPL than the original 2.26), tried using the ShellTool, Tried SoftSPL too but none worked.
IS THERE A WAY TO DOWNGRADE THE 3.08 SPL SO THAT I CAN USE THE LOKIWIZ02 OR LOKIWIZ03. I saw a thred saying that 3.08 can't be downloaded but I also saw SEVERAL saying to just keep insisting with the Button rom that it will eventually work (but after almost 15 consecutive tries I've had it).
Any help would be GREAT.

Button ROM doesn't work for that. I tried numerous times too. The only ROMs that work to downgrade to anything else from 3.08 are the OEM releases from either T-Mo or AT&T.
The Cingular ROM isn't accepted because it checks the OS version number. I had to try several peoples' ROMs until I found one with a low enough version number to where the Cingular ROm could flash on top of it.
Try to flash T-Mobile 2.26 to bring it down to ipl/spl 2,26 then go for button's 1.05,hope it'll do the trick.

I want to downgrade my phone, too. but the original T-Mobile AKU2.0 say while reading the phones ROM-Version "only update"... so, with this no downgrade is possible.
How can i CID unlock with AKU3? I want to flash a new ROM from xda-developer as well... damn

You could probably extract the nk.nbf and use the standard tools to flash it.
The nk.nbf can usually be found in a .tmp folder in c:\documents and settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp

Unless you are using official kjam update, otherwise please CID unlock your G3 device first, or you will face problems.

hi all..My MDA VARIO IPL is 1.01 and SPL is 2.26.I flashed MDA 2 times with Button Rom but no changes happend with SPL and its same.I want to upgrade my MDA to the latest Rom available with WM5.Now m stuck with my phone and dont know excatly wat to do.I downloaded the latest Rom from T-Mobile website and try to install but it gives me error i.e "249 Invalid Vendor ID ".

You may try to unlock first, then reflash again and SPL should also stay at 1.01.
I beg to differ. When I CID Unlocked My G3 USA T-Mobile MDA, the SPL never Changed until I flashed it with the 3.08 IPL/SPL.
I just proceeded with the upgrade and everything went fine.

That's just my experience. My Wizard was unlocked this way.
There may be many undiscovered solutions.

How did you CID unlock? Via imei-check's? Or your bootloaders were already 1.xx?
i've installed now Button Rom but still my IPL is 1.01 and SPL is 2.26 which is same as it was before with T-mobile Rom.Anyone can guide how to downgrade my SPL.Also how to chek whether my Phone is CID unlocked now? I run lockiwiz and i think its CID unlocked now but still wana confirm.
OK..finally i got IPL and SPL same i.e 1.01.Now m going for the next step...

To CID unlock my G3 USA T-Mobile MDA, I simply used the tutorial [READ FIRST] The Definitive Guide to Unlocking & Rom Upgrading G3 Wizards and followed the instructions to the letter.
When I received my device, it was a factory shipped USA T-Mobile MDA with IPL/SPL of 2.26.
I flashed the button ROM giving me an IPL of 1.05 but leaving my SPL untouched.
I installed EnableRapi.cab and soft-reset.
I connected as a guest by canceling synchronization.
I downloaded lokiwiz and ran lokiwiz.bat and pressed U to SIM unlock my device and let it reboot itself.
I once again canceled synchronization leaving my device connected as a guest, ran lokiwiz.bat and this time pressed C to CID unlock my device and let it reboot itself.
I used WST to check to see if my device was in fact CID unlocked and it was.
This time I allowed my device to synchronize with my PC when it connected and then proceeded to flash the T-Mobile Official WM5 Rom directly after completing the unlocking process and it went smoothly.
Then I flashed the IPL/SPL set of 3.08 and that went smoothly.
Then I flashed the 2.19.11 T-Mobile UK Radio and again, that went smoothly.
After all of that was completed, I experimented with new ROMs for a while until finally settling for TNT.1437 TouchFlo using the 2.19.11 Radio and never had any problems the whole time.
Everything went so smooth that I thought about writing another tutorial that was simple and to the point describing the process that I used and detailing how to do it since all of the tutorials here are very complex and can be confusing to a noobie flashing for the first time but never got around to it.
I just unlocked my T-mobile MDA phone to start flashing. Plenty of tutorials on how to unlock the phone to flash but none on actually installing the OS.

I'm finding .cab files and nk.nbf, but not a clue as to how to flash it onto my phone.
Is it even safe to go from 5.0 to 6.1? I got IPL 2.21 and SPL 2.21 on my phone without any problems. Any info on where to start to get 6.1 loaded on my phone would be appreciated.
Ok, as you say its a G4,it cannot be CID unlocked,but you can upgrade it through 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL'.read about them in the G4 sub-forum posted as stickies .
BTW,whats the exact IPL/SPL,you posted 2.21 only,or is it 2.21.0001 ?

I am trying to start the procedure for Rom reprogramming a bricked Wizard (QTEK 9100 brand).
It is stuck in bootloader
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21
The IPL shows a G4 device, but shouldn't the SPL be the same format, 2.21.xxxx?
So I guess it is a G4- If I am wrong please tell me so
I don't know whether this device is CID unlocked or not, since the company I work for bought it with another job lot with other office equipment.
What have I already done and didn't work till now:
1.I have tried several roms from xda-developers Wizard division but still stuck in bootloader
2.i tried to unlocked it on imei-check.co.uk by downloading the guys application but it does not show the IMEI of the device as it should. I followed their instructions about disabling firewall/antivirus. It says Communication problem try again after restart.Did it many times but nothing.
3.Followed the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 for both G4 and G3 devices(I know I shouldn't do for G3 but there's no change)
4.I have tried the procedure through the Mtty apps for backing the system to an sd (fat formatted) but the system does not recognise the sd card...I should mention that I made a backup to a 256MB mini sd card and restored succesfully to another Qtek9100 (with spl 3.08 and ipl 3.08). I later took this sd with the backup -from the working one- and started the restore procedure to the faulty one...The message for restore does not appear....After the camera+power button start it goes directly to the known bootloader with IPL 2.21.0001 and SPL 2.21.
4. I tried to find an official Rom for that and tested a few, but to be honest I don't know if it is simlocked or not and of course I don't know from which company was branded in the first place....

I'm sure I will find a way somehow in here, in the near future, since I have arleady restored 2 bricked Qtek 9000 and a bricked Athena which is currently my phone. But still trying.

You seem to have mixed bootloaders.
No way of flashing will repair it, The IPL and the SPL simply don't match (like diesel in a petrol engine).
The only way of unbricking the device is by JTAG.
(please read those threads in order to have more background regarding the JTAG method)
