Hi
Just got bored and paranoid so started off this thread lol.
Whats the WORST thing you have ever done? Got into trouble or not?
i can write a book...
but off the top of my head...
1) shot my friend between the eyes with a pea shooter. i could have taken out his eye. he owes me an asswhooping for that.
2) got a girl pregnant when i was 15. didn't speak to her in school after her parents forced her to give up the baby.
3) i was a class clown so i clowned many people into submission. i might be responsible for a few suicides.
4) crashed my car into someone elses car that i knew (not friends but an associate) and didn't tell him.
5) stole stuff when i was a kid
there are a lot more but i'm pressed for time. i used a be a real piece of ****.
Broke up with a girl using a post-it note. Shes never been the same again lol.
took 9 sleeping pills every night for 2 weeks b/c my gf left me
threw a blackcat(firework) in a toilet at a friends house and it made a hole on the side.
lol... some funny stuff there
Worst ive ever done is probably is tresspassing lol
broke up with the GF on holiday (cheated on me) and accidently misplaced her passport before i flew home the day before she did.
Also left her with my dirty pants and socks in the suitcase.
Pushed an old lady off the back of a double decker bus before it had stopped, thought i was doing her a favour - mind you I had just drunk a bottle of Whisky and half a bottle of rum I was sixteen then...
She would have been well happy seeing them cart me off to hospital to be stomach pumped an hour later but she was probably already in the hospital herself.
Is the Statute of Limitations Up?
After checking, it is not so here is a lesser one....I once slept with a guys wife in his apartment and then ran into him on the way out the building. Since we were just casual associates I gave him the head nod and kept it moving. I felt bad later cause he was a cool dude, but not the next time cause she was amazing in the sack!!
I got caught smoking the Herbal delight by some undercover cops in High School and then had to take a drug awareness class with my parents once a week for 6 weeks instead of paying a fine....
Worst thing i've ever done was spraying too much zippo fuel in a zippo, then gave it to a friend and he lighted it up in his bedroom. Whole house was gone in 20 minutes. He never blamed me and i've never told him it was my fault really.
Alright so, long story short. I went to go jetskiing today, on the Potomac River, and well, I thought I had taken my phone out of my pocket before helping my friend take off the jetskis off the tralior into the water, I waded out and felt my pocket get really heavy, and just so happened my phone was in my pocket. I freaked out and popped out the battery. ( i think thats what saved it. ) but so i just left it in the car, so it had time to dry. Came back about 4 hours later, and went home and put it in a bag of rice, I turned it on though, spiting I wanted to know if it worked. Phone worked, but only out the back speaker and volume was muffed and really low. Touch screen worked perfect! but none of the hard keys worked. I was pretty upset so I put it back in rice and popped off the back speaker cover and prayed that it would work. Just a bit ago, popped on the back cover and turned it on. EVERYTHING WORKS! I was so shocked, at first it was being tempermental. But a few soft resets and BAM worked like a charm
my little rant about how my phone survived a little swim with the fishes.
mods, please move if its not in the right area. thanks

Hey,
It is a great thing that you had just added the "Bubble Cab"®.
The only authorized and working application that saves your device from
drowning. (as it surrounds all of the small and electrical connections, soldering points, and internal parts, and completely squeezes all impact of water and moisture from your baby (the phone). When _any_ water or fluid contact happens or occurs !
Also as a further precaution the rice trick*© probably did not hurt !
--- All jokin' aside ! Still kinda laffin' .....
I was really happy to see your phone didn't drown ! (VERY Sincerely)
Your quick thinking to take it apart (the battery, and all) and allow it just to dry. Probably did the trick.
Anyway was very happy to see your AOK !
And another little known fact the Bubble Cab® will in fact ! Resuscitate a drowned phone !
And can be purchased via tru Mr. Mbudden, his Program is currently out of Beta !
And Full Product BubbleCab 1.01 ® is a steal ! at $16.95 !
Thanks
david !
Bubble Cab®
Hey !
Also, let me know when the Beta is finished on :
Bubble Cab® ² ... Diver Edition®
For Deep water/ Long Trips Scuba Edition®
Can't Wait ! for this
take care ..
david

The Kaiser will, of course, complement any diving watch!!!
I had an 8525 which fell in the Atlantic and pretty much the exact same story. Pop battery out and rice it I learned a valuable lesson. Dont drink and fish in Ocean City...... lol
Patomic huh? I bet we have seen each other out on the water at some point ( although most of my boating now occurs on the Magothy and out near the Bay bridge these days lol )
Glad to hear your phone is well!!!

Um... Fell in the ocean and you just dried it, you didn't flush it out? Mmmmm, corrosion. How long ago was this?
To the OP (and everyone), I would suggest you not use the phone unless it's been drying with rice (or, get dessicant) for several DAYS. I think you got lucky it still worked after such a short drying period.
I think the phone would have recovered faster had you dropped it in the toilet right after Kumar visited White Castle. Potomac river water can make you lose your hearing! That water is nasty!

This was well over 4 months ago. As far as I can tell it is still working as it should ( I havent used it in a while but I just juiced it up, put my sim in it , powered it on, and tested with a call )
I probably should take it apart again and clean it, but im not too worried about it.
I do have 2 tilts now afterall...... the 8525 was just around as my backup until i got my second one lol

I agree......... dont eat any fish you catch........ they are more than likely contaminated
Wow I didnt realize so many people from the east coast are here
whats your water damaged phone story? did it survive?? or anything else electronic that is water damaged
ill start with mine: during soccer i was subbing and i wanted water and so in a hurry threw the bottle on the bag which led it to get my phone wet, everything was wet and it would not turn on. kept it in rice for a night and it started working till today. btw it was a touch pro 2
Was drinking one night and had to pee really bad... ran to the urinal and as I started to pee I heard a clank but didn't pay much attention. After I was done I looked down only to see that I had just peed all over a phone that looked like mine... and that phone was currently in the process of being sucked down the urinal drain. I never saw it again. It was a palm pre and wasn't really missed very much.
Teleported with mind bullets via XDA App.
The first phone of mine that has met water was my old HTC Touch The reason I came to xda It was a snowday, and I'd zipped up my pockets, got home forgot it was in there, got changed and Bam! in the washing machine
so is now A broken phone that plays a dodgy noise when plugged in
Which is why I invest in otterboxes if I can.

When I was younger I had a Gameboy (Which one I don't remember :/) and I dropped it down the toilet.
I was sad.
Once, me and my mate were in his back garden having a water fight, and he had his bag on the floor.
So first i stood on his bag and then just messing i squirted the hose pipe in it so it was full of water and he went MAD!!!!!
I emptied his bag and a few books and his mp3 player fell out lol!!!
I then realised why he went mad, it was crused and dripping with water.
I took it home, took the battery out and put it on the radiator to dry overnight.
Put a battery in it and it come on!!!
Played music and worked!
It had a cracked screen but worked.
LOL!!!!
6 months later he bought an iPiss.

2 years ago I had a cheap digital watch that was supposed to be waterproof, went for a swim and it became dead meat.
I bought a casio after and it is still working
However I had another incident with my smuggled SE M600i
I went home one day and it was really dirty, so instead of choosing the good LCD cleaner, I went for alcohol , and wiped the whole device.
Two minutes later the touch screen died I was WTF?
it was too late when my brother enlightened me with the information that alcohol degrades touch screens
no one knew how to fixed it and thought it was Chinese sh*t
fixed it after I bought my TP2 thx to me and to a Chinese spare parts site
very confusing to see such a thread! i think im master in destroying my phones
first one i lost was on a rock festival where i fell straigt into the mud with my phone in my pocket. phone was down immediately
my second phone i lost was when i was drunk and want to get some beer out of a fountain where it was for cooling... so it was dark and i thought it's useful to use my phone as a lamp ...u can think what happens next
and the third i just lost while i'm on tour - mine and my girlfirend's phone together.
this were phones like nokia or samsung, now im on nexus one and i guard it "with my life" everytime i go on a party i take my old SE
cheers
Is it just me, or has anyone else had to put their hand down a toilet?
Or after a night out partying, phone an ex, only to have the phone violently meet with the ground and disintegrate into tiny pieces (sim card to be found the next day, haha)
Tell your story (funny now, but not at the time) of your past phones deaths...

Damn i smashed my previous Nokia 5800 but nothing happened to it
Phone flew outta my coat pocket last winter when I started running, smashed all over the road but was still good. Then a few months later was drunk wrestling with my dog and it fell outta my pocket again, my dog found it and chewed on it, plus it rained... Had to search most of the next morning for it, recharged it still worked fine but super chewed... Then the last main thing, I was getting out of a car and it was on my lap, it landed face down with extended batt. on cement and the digitizer finally blew... I've since replaced every part on the phone except the LCD and mobo... I still love this phone and the devs that keep it more updated then then the newest phones out there... Thank God I haven't had to fish in the toilet yet:-o
Bikinis off, evo...
Once i was so drunk i thought it would be a good idea to throw my 2 week old Nokia (this was when Nokia were the top dogs lol) in the air pretending i was scoring a goal and kick it nearly breaking my foot in the process and my phone smashes to pieces

I actually killed a phone in a toilet I was out partying and I was really drunk. I had to pee and while peeing I had my thing in the left hand and was trying to text with my right hand (which is extremely difficult when the letters on the keyboard are moving around ;-) ) Suddenly I drop it straight down the toilet and I was just like "whoops" and I picked it up. It was dead

Me and a friend used to send the occasional poop pic back and forth. After a morning of too much coffee I released an extra frothy concoction into the toilet and decided it was pic worthy for our chain letter. I dropped the phone into the toilet, quickly grabbed it out and rinsed it in the bathtub. It worked for about two weeks after that but slowly gave in. it was a crappy pantech flip phone. Good riddance. On the plus side nobody would ask to use my phone after that.

I was walking through a McDonalds drive-thru/car park area with my wife and we were having an argument. Out of exasperation, she flung her bag around, and her Sony Ericsson k750i flew out and hit the tarmac, a group of guys were watching not far away.
As I skipped over the get the phone, a car came out of the drive-thru, and despite protests to stop, drove straight over it wheel first. As the crunch happened, the group of guys all went 'ohhhhhhh' at the same time. It was complete dead, shattered screen, and a few mm thinner lol. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but glad I had insurance for a next day swap!
i had a sony ericcsson w580i that had a good little run around the insides of my washing machine (by accident of course - forgot to check my pockets beforehand)
the phone still worked fine, but the washing machine went on strike at that point (something about unauthorised foreign objects..)
i never tried 'cleaning' a phone again!!
Many years ago when I was on my way to work.I was talking on phone with my client. Some dude bum on me really hard accidently and my phone flew over to the road and a car ran over it.
the phone were disembowelled and I pick it up, the call still connects and I finished the call with the client with that naked disembowelled phone.
It was an old school Nokia 3310 lol.
It's not dead technically but since the chassis and keypad and screen were all broken .so

ahh, basically, yes
More of a fail on my part lol. Had a Samsung u900 and pulled it apart because the keypad was being funny. All went well until I realised I couldn't put it back together. I don't know if a clip broke or what but the internal components never sat right afterwards haha.
Back in high school during my stupid and naive days, my Sony Ericsson k610i's paint was peeling pretty badly. So I idiotically painted it black and went to school. Answered a call and the black paint transfered to my face without my knowledge. I took some serious ridicule that day haha. So I got rid of phone and used a spare for 6 months til contract ended lol

LOL I had my hand in a toilet to recover my blackberry and my old iPhone 4. Took them out of my pocket before a shower, and slipped right from my hand into the toilet. Both times

both of them? seriously man, be careful. others have old school phones, you have high end phones.
I'm 5'7"ish, and had the phone held around my chest. Slipped out my hand and hit the floor, carpet. Would any problems occur from that drop/fall?
You tell us, does anything seem to be wrong?
Personally I've dropped this phone a hundred times on carpet and it's always fine. Hell, it's had a few run ins with pavement and it's good. More than I can say for my iPhone RIP.

Due to the gforces of the sudden deceleration, a problem may occur where the once seperate chemicals in the battery cell may have combined. There is now a very high risk of explosion.
However, there is a fairly simple workaround. While holding the phone upside down in your left hand, hop in a counterclockwise direction singing your country's national anthem backwards while hitting yourself on the head with a shoe. Hope this helps.
I've done worst with my stolen diamond...
I can remember it clearly as yesterday...
The Diamond was brand new: one of the first phone with G-sensor, so I installed the mighty app that turn is in a lightsaber!
Well, after 5 or 6 swing it slipped from my hand hitting the highest part of the door and then falling to the ground...
Not even a scratch!!!

Thank you sir, for starting my day with a bellyful of laughter.
Otoh, if it works, do a reboot and check it out again, if its ok, then I guess its ok. I fumbled in catching my phone thrown to me from the first floor, fell and hit the gravel/mud berm/sidewalk of the driveway. Slight unpeeling of the black enamel of the aluminium bezel at the top left corner (on the front side) just near the headphone socket, but still working for almost a year now....

Speaking of dropping the phone.. I had dropped the phone from bike and it has scratches around the front side black panel part.. and I wish to replace it.. Can the cover be available?? I mean like the complete black part??
The incredible S is very durable and you shouldn't be too afraid of dropping your phone Im not saying that you're need to drop your phone all the time.
I had dropped it on concrete road , and its still fine though with few scratches

Well, I dropped my phone a few days after I bought it, and the light sensor went caput.. The guys at the service center replaced it with a new phone for me though. Of course, I had not rooted the phone then - not sure if they are ok with replacement and stuff if the phone is rooted..

I dropped mine a week or two ago on a ceramic floor while sitting down. My heart stopped beating as I hopelessly saw it fall to the ground but was rejoiced when I saw it didn't even have a ding!
I've dropped phone alot. The worst scenario which happened was 3 months ago.
I was waiting teacher on 4th floor and sit on bench while touching phone then i put hand on stair's waiting and hands were little sweaty and it dropped. I was like wtf?! Surely it's on first floor and burst into little pieces (I did get mini heart attack). Instantly i went downstairs and phone was laying on 3rd floor and seemed to be in one piece. Then I pressed power/sleep button. Everything worked. it did get a little scratch on it's drake, nothing major. It's still a mystery how did the phone get from 4th to 3rd , probably a 1/100 epic bounce and it fell like 3,5m to concrete stone floor. Even battery cover was attached. Seriously it's as tough as Nokia 3310. So that's my story, I'm very sleepy, and It's all true amazing, uh? Using Nik rom for now and I'm typing this on my HTC Incredible S
