Keyboard backlight color - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

the 8525 keys were backlit in BLUE. Made the keys real easy to read.
The TILT/8925 uses a white keyboard back light. This makes reading the "number" keys very difficult.
I suspect the color can not be changed due to the LED used but I would sure like to hear someone say different.

I prefer white. Blame AT&T though because they choose a different colour scheme for the Tilt's keypad. The TyTN II is all black. I suppose you could find a way to swap the keypad if you wanted to.

kaiser illumination

can someone please post a couple pics of the the front of the device with the led's on, and the illuminated keyboard? thanks!

please?

No pics but the keyboard is the best lit HTC so far - white light behind the keys and blue for the function keys. There are also ilumiated indicators for Caps and Fn lock. The lighting on the front of the phone itself is also clear and white (green and red for hte phone items). The scren is very bright when turned up and nice and white (no yellow tinge).

are the softkeys, windows, and ok buttons illuminated as well?

assume you mean CAPS and Function status leds - yes, it has those on keyboard.

Big Dialer Buttons?

I'm looking for larger dialpad buttons? I've seen a lot of crap all over the place which is more of a piece together and there is always SOMEONE posting with bad news... such as "can't uninstall it" or "smart dial doesn't work" etc...
Is there a fully functioning (even if I have to pay money) keypad (dial screen buttons) with big buttons on it?
Thanks in advance!
try netcom smart dialer 2.5 - not free
There is another called reTOUCHed_Dialer2. This has much bigger buttons and easier than the built-in layout.
I am hoping somebody will have one with a different skin, though. The straight black keys are not my thing.

Click to collapse
The reTOUCHed Dialer can be "skinned" (and I've seen a few). If you look at Dutty's planned no. 7 rom that dialer will be in it, and it will have blue/green buttons. I think Schaps' has it with purple.
Basically the dialer mainly consists of graphics for the backgrounds and buttons. You just need to edit all of them in an grapics program and you can modify it to how you want it.
Here's the cab for the standard Touch looking one.

Phone keypad skin

I have a question:
when entering my PIN the keypad is quite good looking black.
But, when I disable the Diamond phone skin, it's another one, more grey and smaller buttons
Is there a way to get that black skin?

Wings Issues

why dont the softkeys light up??????
Because theres no light under them?
Its not hard to find the softkeys, they are the only two right under the screen next to the D-Pad. It somewhat makes them stand out more...
And yes I think they should light up too but they dont.

How to fix Button bar color

I have a silver xperia US model.
Overall I am very happy with its functions after customization with the knowledge and help of this forums.
However the bottom bar that shows the functions of the two silver hard buttons has become ligth gray with white lettering, making it almost unreadable.
Is there a way to change this color back to black without a reset which would require reinstalling everithing on the phone.
Thanks for your help and all the support on this forum.
Try just re-applying a theme under Start > Settings > Today. Just the "Xperia Black" one, or anything different then what you have it set on now, and make sure you hit "ok" at the top right.
Lemme know if that works.
Kurazz
Unfortunately NOPE
Whatever scheme I choose the bottom bar becomes the lighter version of the scheme with buttons remaining white.
That is, if black scheme bar is gray, if green scheme bar is light lime, if red bar is pinkish is silver scheme, bar is white.
What to do?
Hmmm, that is too bad.
The next thing you can try is a soft reset. It doesn't delete anything, just restarts the software and hopefully fixes the problem. It is explained at the following link: http://www.xperiax1.net/forum/xperia-x1/546-tutorial-soft-hard-resets.html
Also, think when the problem first started to occur and whether or not you had customized anything at that point. Maybe you could revert what you changed and the issue will go away.
Lastly, and also explained at the above link, is the hard reset. WARNING: This deletes all your data and returns the phone to factory settings. I would use this as a last resort if you are unable to fix the problem and can't live with it.
Again, let me know how it goes.
