Ever since NOTOSMART over at the Wizard forum stated that he was leaving and bought a Q9, Ive' been wondering what does the Q have over the 750 aside that it is newer and slimmer and of course one is a smartphone and the later a PPC phone.

Ok I get to choose a new phone by T-Mobile but in Holland they only have these:
T-Mobile G2 Touch (HERO)
T-Mobile Pulse
T-Mobile G1
Now I have a G1 and what would you recommand me to get.
Pulse has a nice UI but is it worth it.
Hero looks sweet has more internal mem but is it worth it.
G1 that one just rocks, but 2x.....
So any help would be usefull
For what its worth, you dont HAVE to get a new phone right now just because you have the option for a discount. T-Mobile doesnt close the window on your discounts just because you wait. In my opinion, you oughtta just stick it out with the G1 for a few more months. When the android 2.0 source is released, I have a feeling that the ROM cooks are going to have some nifty new toys for us to play with, and if you're already rooted, theres a timesaver right there.
Also, with things like the Acer A1 coming down the pipe (in case you havent been following, it has a 1GHz snapdragon processor) and certainly more equally powerful phones to be seen over the next few months, why waste your money on something roughly equivalent to the G1 or only a *little* bit better when waiting a short while could yield you a much much more powerful device.
thnQ for quick reply.
Yeah i am following the new developments bout the snapdragon and the new android phones comming out.
HTC, Sony Ericcson, Motorola, Acer, Dell, Samsung
All are comming out with phones this year or comming year with snap's.
But I think you're right I'd better wait a while.
Hi all
If you had a choice between the G1 and the Motorola Cliq XT, which would you go with? I bought the Cliq XT a few months ago because my G1 just didn't have the memory or battery life to get me through the day. Then I discovered the world of ROMs and rooting and have switched back and forth between the two and just can't decide.
My G1 is running GingerYoshi 1.4 and my Cliq XT is running CM7. I bought an extended battery for the G1, but it does make it a little bigger. Any suggestions for battery life that don't increase the size of the phone?
I LOVE the keyboard on the G1. That is why I've kept it thus far. I also did a lot of reading on this board and thanks to you guys was able to partition the SD so I can install a lot more apps than previously (another reason why I switched to the Cliq XT).
As you can tell, I like my G1 more, but it seems like the Cliq is faster and a bit more reliable. What would you guys do?
I know it's ultimatley up to me, but appreciate any advice.
Nick
I enjoy it better than the G1. It has more RAM so that's a plus. It's essentially the same phone but with bigger nand and RAM.
If I have to pick between the two, natually it will be the Motorella cliq XT, since it got more memory etc... Still keep you G1 as the backup etc... thou. You can also use your G1 in support for ROM testing for these nice DEV here in G1 community. That is what I am planning to do once I get my new phone (right now I am looking at getting Motorella ATRIX).
Currently I have a Samsung GSII but I want to get back to WP7, I was going to wait for the WP7 version of the GSII but I did like my HD7.
I was thinking about trying to pick up an HD7S on ebay and use it in the UK (Vodafone UK) however I was wondering if you guys could run me through a few pit falls.
Will it actually work on the Vodafone network?
Can I unlock the phone if needs be?
Is it possible for me just to put a total generic ROM on the phone so there is no AT&T branding, will I run into problems?
I know these may sounds like daft questions but I have never purchased a phone from the states and I'm not sure about the network bands, etc.
Many thanks for the help guys, hope to be back in the fold soon
Since you are coming from the Samsung GSII you might want to wait and pick up the Samsung Focus S that coming soon. The Focus S is a follow-up to the original Samsung Focus, featuring a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus panel , 1.4GHz processor and is just one-third of an inch thick. You get a 1.3MP front-facing camera and 8MP rear-facing.
Basicly a SGSII with WP7.5.
I myself was hoping to get this or the HTC Titan (It has a 4.7 inch S-LCD screen making it the largest available on any Windows Phone. The HTC Titan also has a 1.5GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and 8MP rear and 1.3MP FFC.) but they are both going to AT&T and I'm on T-Mobile.
I was thinking about waiting for that but I'm not sure if it will be released in the UK (I'm sure it will) plus I'm not sure about pricing, I know I could sell my SGII now, get an HD7 (S or non S model) and have a bit of cash in my pocket).
I might just sell the SGII now and use an old... HTC Desire (or SE K850) for the next few months...
Dont get the S... you will be stuck on EDGE as AT&T use a different frequency (1900mhz?) to UK carriers for 3G/HSPA (2100mhz).
EDGE is painful.
Well I sold my SG2 and have been using an old htc desire and I'm liking the smaller screen so i have gone for an omnia 7 (16gb), I like the screen size being between the desire and hd7. With the cash left over I may put it towards a Sony tablet s
I would suggest you wait for the new phones coming out instead of going for the already released WP7 devices, reason being atleast they will be a bit future proof.
I had an HD7 and then went for a SGS2, but because HD7 has no front facing camera I will miss out on the kinet features on mango, so I am waiting for either Nokia WP7 ( as I still feel nokia has the best hardware) or get one of the New HTC devices with WP7.
I have already the RTM MANGO and boy it rocks, currently can't make up my mind between the HD7 and SGS2
There are many threads about the pros/cons of different phones, but i thought i would pose this question to Kaiser owners:
What android or WP7 phone would you recommend?
I love the form-factor of the kaiser and dont think i can go to a touch-only device - need that physical keyboard!
From my research i've been eyeing off either a moto droid 3 or 4 or a samsung captivate glide.
So, what have previous Kaiser owners upgraded to?
-Dan
I'm from Europe and this is the reason why still I don't have a Motorola Droid 4 / Milestone 4
I'm still waiting for GSM version and from what I know...I'm not alone
Because from latest news HTC not planing another qwertz phone anymore
Thanks mate - I've currently gone with the Samsung Captivate Glide. Its a good phone, tho the keyboard doesn't compare with the kaiser. After a month of typing with it I still misjudge keys. Plus I think my fingers are too fat as they don't quite fit between the top row of the keyboard the the edge of the screen. I also didn't realise how much I'd miss the tilting screen..
However, I still think this was the best option for my circumstances.
(Also didn't realise how much I would miss winmo6 and espec the MS Exchange support...)

Hi guys,
Yesterday I hard bricked my GS4 trying to update it to marshmellow. The repair will cost $40 and this is after I spent $110 replacing the digitizer. I decided to give up on that device (It was getting a bit beat up anyway).
Walmart is currently selling the ATT version for $250. I bought it but now I am wondering if it is still worth the value now (late 2015). The S4 was starting to show its age especially with the bloatware which is why I was attempting to upgrade the OS. What better place to ask this than a forum full of tech geeks like me who have actually used the device!
So, what do you guys say? Is it worth it now to buy as a daily driver? What do you guys think of the cost? How is the custom rom community? I saw that Samsung EOLed it at 5.0 but what are the chances custom roms will keep going for a few more versions? I have just started to browse this section of xda. The S4 was a hassle especially if people accidentally upgraded it to Lollipop. I know I followed the directions to a T but I still go the hard brick so I am hesitant to attempt to mess around with a Samsung device again.
If anyone has experience with the S4, how is the experience compared to it?
Sorry if this stuff was recently asked, I just quickly browsed the front page of this section
It is an excellent device. The only thing that bothers me is the size. My personal opinion: Debatably, even the latest gen devices haven't added much value to the daily use factors(speed, screen quality etc). A little bit, yes. But not a lot. You can compare the devices and see it yourself. I don't need to upgrade the device. My hands are relatively smaller, so the size matters especially considering the case etc. Otherwise Note 3 is a solid device. Ofcourse root and get rid of the crapware if you running stock rom. You will be happy you did.
FYI to give you an idea about the price: In 2014, i bought a "certified like new" from att for 270 + taxes + activation without contract. It was really new except for the brown box it came in.
Again, My Personal opinion: Just got a OnePlus X for my wife. Only $267 including shipping. Good specs, 1080P screen , snapD 801 processor, thinner, lighter and handy compared to iphone or GS 6. In short Love it.
For me size doesn't matter since I am 6'2" with giant hands. I bought my mom the original OPO and she liked it. The only thing I feel like I would be missing out on are the fingerprint readers but those are currently only on the high end devices right now which I can't afford yet.
Note 3 is indeed a great phone/device you can have but in the mean time you can have too many other comparatively new devices in the same range of bucks, then why go back to 2013 while in my opinion you can buy some MOTO, LG, Asus, and a lot of Chinese flagship devices in that range or just a little more up on. I would suggest you Note 3. And i would never bought it if i was in your place. (worthy mention that i have one AT&T's N900A) but my situation is quite different, i have bought it (used one) almost 9 months ago and that too here in Pakistan where most of the new devices are either out of my range or not at all available here.
Hell yes. I wont upgrade cause I know I wont like my nextphone as much as my note 3. Its a tough phone. Ive bootlooped and softbricked this thing so many times and it just keeps getting better. I broke the screen once and mailed out for it to savea couple hundred and do it myself and now have half n900a and half n900t. I know. Just the carriers. I might just get another note 3 when this one dies.
