Is it possible to add tabs to the HTC Home Plugin. I don't use the Profiles tab so is there a way to make it a second tab for programs/games? Thanks

Hi dude
I think it isn't possible!I also tried to manually change in the registry the tab number with the same number you want to add, but i got two identical tabs with the same program shortcuts and if try to change one in a tab i have the same result in the other tab too!I tried with the contacts tab too, but with the same issue!!
Maybe someother know how to fix this, if possible!!

Have already searched the forum but haven't found an answer yet
How can I customize/change the buttons in the HTC Home Plugin? I want to change the small buttons that call the battery screen, the backlight settings to the programs that I call/use most.
Also is there a way to make the weather channel update information using Wifi Only? I don't have a unlimited plan for my 3G downloads and I want the weather information to come only by wifi.
Thanks

Hello, is it possible to have some sort of shortcut program such as cLaunch(er) as an item within the HTC Home launcher tab? If so, then we could just go to the launcher tab and open up the secondary launcher. Just a thought, although I have no idea if this is possible or not.

Hello,
I just bought an AT&T Tilt a month ago and I know how everything works b/c my friends has one too. I installed the HTC home plugin and I love everything about it but I only have 5 icons at the bottom.
In order:
1. home, 2, weather (connection times out a lot) 3, quick launching apps, 4. music, and 5. Sound profile for putting phone on vibrate, etc.
The problem is that I really what the "Favorites, or icon to dial your friends or family". I've tried installing different versions of HTC home plugin but I can't get 6 icons on my screen. I have HTC Customizer and I told it to put 6 icons there but it won't.
I NEED HELP. IT WORKED ONCE BEFORE BUT IT DOESN'T NOW.
Does anyone else wish they had 6 icons on their htc home plugin?
No. I already have 6 tabs on my HTC Home Screen. Which version are you using??
You need to delete a string in register.
Ummm

Delete following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/OEM/MASD/QuickDial
Softreset afterwards, and you should have back the 6 HTCHome tabs.
Have a nice weekend,

Wow. Thanks for that. Had the same problems and was driving me nuts cos I know it used to work.
Can you explain why that key has that effect?
I've used a few roms that had a few different htc home setups. My question is, I can't seem to find the Favorite People tab in the htc home customizer. How do I get that tab? Do I need a different version of HTC Home? If HTC home came bundled with a rom, is there a way to update it? Also, how do I find out what version of HTC home I have?
I'm not sure what you have as standard, but this thread will show you how to tweak the registry to change what shows up.
Hope it helps - good luck

That was very in depth. Unfortunately, I went to regedit the portion of the HTC Home registry that corresponded with the number of tabs and the order but my registry is already edited to 1,2,3,4,5,6. So my HTC Home should be showing 6 tabs but it is only showing 5. I've used HTC Home customizer and it is showing all but the Favorites tab. No matter what tab I remove I still dont have the Favorites tab.
Can only suggest you unselect the HTC Home in the today menu, go to the registry, remove number 2. Soft reset. Back to the registry, add in 2 again. Soft reset. Select from the today menu.
If that doesnt override the customizer then you'll have to post in the ROM thread or a Customizer thread.
Best I can suggest - good luck
Backup your complete phone on your desktop/laptop and do a hard reset.
Before you install all your programs, install the HTC customizer/Home FIRST.
My Wife and I each had this problem. Apparently one of the programs interfered with the HTC Home install and we didn't have the favorite people either. If you install it FIRST; your people tab will be there.
this happened to me yesterday, this is the answer
To get the favorite people tab back, delete this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/OEM/MASD/QuickDial
then soft reset..

If you are talking about the Manila tabs then just use the TF3D Config, by Mr. Sushilange

I would love to know how to do this as well on the CDMA
Is there a working .cab file that can remove the call history and the calendar under the flip clock?? Can someone make one? I've read through the clock thread but I couldn't find any method really...
I only found these two cabs... the first one doesn't work for me... obviously.
Bump. Can someone please try these two cabs and confirm if they are working for them?

There sure is, do a search in the themes section for diamond and I'm sure you'll find it. just found mine, here you go.
how do i install it to make it work?
this doesn´t work on HTC Touch Pro :-(
A TP step by step would be cool for this mod..
I'm still trying to figure this out too, what are you supposed to do with the files, where do they go, do you have to diable something first, then what happens you set the background and it just works? Need more help please!
Try the "mUn BackGround4AllPages v.02.cab" in this thread.

I don't need all 18 icons in the programs tab and was wondering if there was a way to remove some of them. Im really trying to simplify the layout of the phone and would like to have only 2 or 3 if possible. Advice or help?
bump for some help

Try Advance Configuration tool
You could edit your registry. First you have to go to the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher]. There you can delete all numbers exept 0, 1 and 2. It will look like in the picture that I've attached. You could backup the registry key before deleting all the icons you don't want to have.

With TF3D Config you can edit the program tab but it's totaly unnecessary doing it this way cause this also can be done at the program tab when clicking the remove softkey there. And at the end I guess both programs won't help yesteryear because you will still have 18 icons on the program tab and he only wants 2 or 3 icons. Only way to accomplish what he wants is the registry tweak I suggested.
Thanks for the replies Registry edit it is. Hope I'll be ok doing this. I have flashed new roms already so this should be fairly easy....I hope
Easier than I thought. I used CeRegistry Editor. Really nice to work from my desktop. Again, thanks

You're welcome. CeRegEditor is nice to work with.
Sure did work. Just a note for those who are thinking about doing this as well... I tried to use the 3, 4, 5 shortcut tabs only , meaning the middle row of shortcuts and it froze up Touchflo 3d. Couldn't load it properly I guess. For some reason the startup wants to see at least one icon in the first row. Does that make sense. By the way Im using

You only can hide the programs tab with TF3D Config. That's not what he wanted. He wanted less program icons on the programs tab.
