Hi everyone,
I have I-mate PDA2K, and i was trying to upgrade to the original ROM release 1.40.176, but i got a connection error in the process, and now I'm stuck with the grey screen USB v2.06
The hard reset doesn't work; MaUpgradeUt_noID says: "ERROR 150: ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR"; Wizard's mtty says: "USB port cannot open", other ROMs also say: "ERROR 101: CONNECTION ERROR".
Any ideas, or is it the end?
P.S.: i'm running Vista, and i won't be able to try the update on the XP system for another month
Hi
I am following the guides at
http://trinityguides.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=66
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=399827
Now I downloaded HardSPL 1.20 mentioned at
http://trinityguides.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=66
and also tried the one at http://www.mediafire.com/?yxz2pu1oytg
I have installed USB driver on VISTA as per guide. my Bootloader shows USB.
But whenever I try to install either of the SPL it gives me an error

Connect to your PC and make sure activesync has run properly and your phone is on.
Open Hard SPL and run the ROMupdate. Your phone will go to tricolour and it will come up with a communication error.
disconnect from PC but leave the phone in tricolour....DO NOT reset it.
Cancel our of the ROMupdate. connect the phone to the pc again and run ROMupdate again.
This time it will go all the way through and you will have HardSPL on your phone.
Check it by entering bootloader and it should show Olipro 3.2.
You can then flash away....make sure you always put the phone into bootloader before flashing.

Flashing now and will update soon
Please help me. I am desperate.
I have flashed my Telus HTC Touch Diamond with the "Telus_shipped french" ROM, following steps by steps the guide "Flashing a Rom or Radio from the 4 gig internal storage ".
My phone is stucked at the rainbow screen showing the following error message: "upgrade ROM code error. Please try again". No hard reset, no nothing will fix it.
Thx
connect it to ur pc when its in bootloder (the rainbow screen) where it says serial at the bottom it should now say usb, now just use a ruu to flash a new rom
Thank you so MUCH mancsoulja. I did not try it because after the flash my PC was not able to see my Diamond through the USB connection, so I thought that...
Just a question. How do I know if I should use the ROM for CDMA phone or the one for GSM?
Hey,
i bought a htc wizard (orange spv3) yesterday, and it looked brand new.
with lokiwiz .31 i removed sim lock. And today i wanted to try unlocking the cid. but when i try to flash it to the button 1.5 rom the ruu.exe ( crashes). i tried it on windows 7 and in xp it says error 260. So i don't know what to do now.. when i reset the device he is going again but not flashed. and i hate windows mobiel 5
it's a g3 device
with aku 2
edit: tried the vista way, but he then says: invalid vender id..
This is from the manual:
ERROR [248~260] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs when there is an “open port error” before upgrading the CE ROM image.
Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an “OPEN PORT ERROR” again, reset your computer and try again.
This is what I would do:
Turn the phone off and remove the USB cable.
Press and hold the Camera key, now insert the USB cable, Keep holding the camera key until you get the boot loader screen.
Now flash the ROM.
i now know why the error accured, i flashed it in the xp mode, not native windows xp.
i now did it at a friend's place and it's working now.
hope to get the vista flasher work under 7 but the service don't remain the same in 7 so i don't give it much hope. i get a wrong vender in 7

Could you please help ?
I'm facin a problem with my Wizard after a WM 6.5 ROM flashed.

Hello!
I have this problem:
I've installed WM6.5 on my Trinity, and it worked well, but today I wanted to try WM6.1 (0.4.9.0 digital) also. The following happened:
Everything worked fine, but at 54% flashing my brother lifted the phone, possibly it lost the USB-contact, because the flasing stopped with an error message (unfortunately can't remember the error number). Since then if I try to flash it with WM6.1 or WM6.5, after 1% the phone resets itself, and the RUU gives a 270 error.
I have the original WM5 ROM also, but if I try installing it, after "Verifying information on your PDA Phone" screen I get a connection error 260.
What can I do???
After the phone resets itself, I can see the HTC logo, and the red letters and numbers, but that's all.
If I try HardSPL, I also get a 260 error.
Can you enter bootloader manualy?
If you can than see SERIAL change to USB when connected to PC it should be OK.
if you have a SD card, you can also try to flash "manualy".
- put your RUU... NBH at the root of the card,
- rename it trinimg.nbh,
- reinsert the card in the phone,
- enter in bootloader (power+cam+reset)
you will have a grey screen asking to push "power", do it and that's it.
if USB is well working, maybe you just need to reflash the hardspooler.
Thank you for your replies.
Fortunately I solved the problem.
I did the following:
1. To be sure, do all the stuff on a Windows XP machine
2. DISABLE "Allow USB Connection" in Active Sync so you see a small red X symbol next to the Active Sync symbol
3. Start the device into Bootloader mode (Cam+Power+Reset) and connect the device to your PC and make sure USB is written on the bottom of your screen (NOT Serial!)
4. Download splxploit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...0&d=1180043588) and execute unlock on your PC
5. Follow the instructions
6. Download HardSPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...8&d=1185364317) and follow the instructions
7. Finally (to be sure) restart into Bootloader mode and check if SPL is showing "SPL-1.30.Olipro) - if this is the case you've done it !
8. Flash your preferred ROM via miniSD or USB connection
I m glad you solved this. Every day another new way of solving the flash problems.
Hi to All guys
