Hi All,
I live in Egypt and i got my herald from Mobinil , it was working with windows mobile 5 and was unlocked for all networks.
Then i upgraded it with the HTC windows mobile 6 official rom and now its only unlocked for mobinil!!! when i inserted my vodafone sim it said enter network code!! i tried other roms from here but its still locked!!
any suggestions??

You could've just answered instead of writing this article!!! and by the way i did read all those previous posts but none of them apply to my situation...mine was unlocked first then got locked!! unlike all the other posts which were locked to begin with.

Like Duprade said in the previous article, READ. Good lord man, it doesnt matter if yours was locked before, it is now! Which means the artciles he posted would apply to your situation. RTFM

kpn locked dutch htc wings
i have a problem i have a kpn locked htc wings but i am not long enough by the profider to get a free unlock code from them i need to be 1 year by that profider befor i get 1 and i need to unlock my wings becuase i am going to vodafone and that sim doesnt work in the wings
my question does someone no a methode to unlock it sin unlocker 0.1 doenst work

I have a Treo 750, which has incorrect code entered 8 times. how long is the timeout wait ?.
any other methods of resetting the phone or unlocking it ?
( I have the correct code from Cingular. someone else entered the incorrect code )

I am still not clear what are my options.

I think what he said is that if you install the patched bootloader (using the unlocker) you will have the ability to flash a Hermes radio, and if you do so, you will be stuck with that radio for the time being. I'm pretty sure that's all he's said..I'll ask him. Yep, that's all he said. To elaborate on that, this wouldn't affect your ability to flash WM6 in any way except that your Hermes radio (should you decide to flash one) will stay put. Olipro warned folks of this fact early on. Most people will find no compelling reason to flash a Hermes radio to their Treo.
Summiter isn't the expert on the mysteries of bootloader assembly..that's Olipro's realm of dark wizardry. And he knows far more than any of the cubicle monkeys answering the support line at Cingular or Palm. He's also saved a lot of people many dollars/loonies/euros/pounds/pence/rupees by creating free unlockers for a multitude of HTC devices. So, uh, like, respect the man and stuff and whatnot. And so forth. And so on.

I have a suggestion for you. Click on Olipro's name, and then choose to search for his posts. Now read them. You will find that he knows these devices far more intimately than most folks at Palm or Cingular, and perhaps even a good portion of HTC. There's a total of perhaps 10 folks who frequent xda-dev who can skillfully dig into and modify the bootloaders and radios - and he's in the top 3. So yeah, he's much more of an expert. Now go read the forums I suggested to you in an earlier post for f*cks sake, or go away.

I have same problem with the above topics, same with my HERME200 X01HT, I already have network unlocking code, but I can not enter the code, because it says.
"You have tried 35 times, please wait until time out" however, I've been waiting for 6days ago but still can not comes out. I still can not enter the code.
What would be the solution for this????

I'm getting this same error- sorry to bump a dead thread.
Using the Magic_Unlocker and Olipro's HardSPL/Unlocker doesn't work, and my phone is telling me that I've tried 100 times, please wait until timeout.
Is there any way to edit the rate it times out in so that I can enter the code?

I'm on T-Mo USA and am looking at a AT&T Tilt to replace my damaged MDA. I've read somewhere that I would not be able to unlock the WM6.1 version. Is that true? If so, how can I downgrade to WM6, unlock and then upgrade back to the OEM WM6.1?
I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.
Read a little more, you've obviously been miss lead. And you do not unlock a rom, you unlock the phone, then you flash a rom, or keep the one you have on there.

I would! I had to and it only took ten extra min! I am using a tilt and I am on t-mobile works great! Its worth it to do it right! The guys that write these programs know what they are talking about, it pays to listen to wise councel!
Dashmaster, what ROM are you using? Did it have all of the T-Mo settings (USA) or did you have to add them? Cheers.

I am using L26 M3D! Great ROM! It comes with the network config installer so it sets everything up for you! All I had to do was setup my unlimited web stuff! You can let me know if you need that info but everything works MMS, SMS and WEB. People are always looking at my phone and saying " oh you have AT&T" I say nope T-Mobile! Flips them out! LOL! If you ever need any help with T-Mo stuff feel free to PM me, most people in this section have AT&T so I can help you with T-Mo stuff! Always happy to help! I know alot too! (Not trying to brag, I just do!)
how did u go about doing this? did you have to downgrade back to the 6.0 then unlock, then upgrade back to 6.1?
Here is the tools & basic instructions I use to unlock Kaisers on WM6.1 ROMs.
Works most times but sometimes may need downgrade to WM6.0.

This thread is not "supported" by xda developers per say. Eqx posted in an effort to avoid the problems tupisdin's thread had in the Blackstone forum. Although, if he were a scammer, this post would be history by now.

CID unlocking nowadays (since the hermes/trinity days anyhow) means you have Hard SPL to flash custom ROMs (I suppose it could also mean using a Goldcard to change language). (See FAQ #3 for my explanations)
So no, you won't have this until OliNex release one.

I am new to this forum and apologize for my noobness in advance as i wasn't sure either to post this here or in the Android Software and Hacking General section and i appreciate any comments as i understand i am new here and have contributed nothing to this forum. Here is my dilemma, i recently purchased a t mobile g1 from a friend about two weeks ago because i was interested in the android OS. Being in the UK it is locked to the T-mobile network which my existing sim is orange. I understand that there was a developers ROM that was released (codenamed holiday (adp 1.1)) which allows other networks to be used on the g1 e.g orange etc as its a developer version. I was wondering what compatible ROMS for the g1 (htc dream) that would allow me to use my orange sim. Again i really do appreciate nay comments and help i receive and understand i have not contributed to this community and it is highly rude to ask for something when given nothing.
Changing the ROM on your device will not unlock it so that you can use it on any network. You need to get an unlock code for your device. T-Mobile US will give these out to their subscribers but I don't know about your carier. If they don't you can get it online too. They will need your phone's IMEI to generate the code. Just put in the new SIM and it will prompt you for the code regardless of the ROM you have.
isnt there such a thing as a hardware unlock though if i use a custom rom?. I brought this phone from a friend so i doubt phoning t-mobile will help get me a code.

No, I'm fairly sure the only way to unlock this device is what I posted above.
i thought you just needed a t-mob sim to login and then you were free to choose after this whole rooting/flashing thing.
its already a long time ago, so i might confuse a lot and its only that what i think to know. nothing sure..
i wanted an android phone and my friend was saying i culd get his off him and i thought that be a perfect time to get into the android os and stuff, i wasnt ure if i coulld by rooting/flashing that id be able to use another network thats why i wondered if i flashed it to a deveopler rom the adp1 one i could us another sim, i will look into the method beav_35 put but im not sure on any reputable sites to trust to do this method.
