O.K. I purchased the AT&T Tilt because I liked the wm6 device with the Touch flo aspect and home screen with the digital clock... so where is it? Did at&t remove it when they locked it?
hang yourself.
LOL........
LMAO!!!! To the OP, you need to research some more. Look up Kaiser Tweak if you want to turn Touch Flo back on. I think there may be a cab somewhere that puts the icon back in as well, but Kaiser Tweark or Schaps Advanced Config will work for you.
Essentially yes AT&T did remove it.
What you're talking about comes with the Official HTC Rom. But don't give up hope check out the wiki about cubes and ROM flashing.
Remeber to do searches first before posting. The only reason I'm answering is because I was where you are once. I felt overwhelmed.

As a few of our Senior Members already "hinted", you need to do a little more research.
TouchFlo is actually in the at&t Rom but the interface to disable sound is removed. Kaiser Tweak will allow you to manipulate the settings (including sensitivity).
FWIW, WM6 Pro does not have a Home Screen that is what the Standard version (no touchscreen) has. Pro uses a "Today" screen, I know what's the diff right but technically you are talking about something else.
If you liked the look of the large digital clock like is displayed on the wiki page reference images then that is not a WM6 thing but rather a HTC thing called HTC Home plug-in.
Please do yourself a faver and spend some time reading the wiki & the stickies.

Yes it does. This is answered in other threads titled "Touch flo" or something similar.
I'm speaking to the AT&T version specifically.
Forgive me if I missed it, but I haven't found anything that says it will have these two features, which are present on the HTC-branded Tytn II. The screenshots on modaco.com do not show an HTC home screen, either.
Can you please confirm?
Okay,according to Paul at modaco.com the AT&T Tilt/8925
WILL have Touchflo (finger scrolling and panning) and
WILL NOT have the HTC home screen (big clock, shortcuts).

Yes just install the .cab. you can find it in the hermes area.
What about the Windows Live software? I heard that AT&T wasn't including that with their stock ROM.

Same situation. If the ATT rom doesn't include it you can download the .cab file from the hermes area or wait until it's posted here. I use several programs and add ons that the ATT rom doesn't include but it's pretty easy to just install these my self once I have the basic rom set up.
can someone please post the cab file? i cant find it in the Hermes section.
you can find it here:

Being that you can get rid of bloatware and install cabs for missing programs you want on a tilt, is there still a big advantage to flashing (speed or otherwise)?

Trying out both at&t shipped compare to some HTC roms, speed isn't too much different. I skip the customization in the beginning, and I get a pretty decent rom. Seems a tiny bit more stable than HTC roms.

Here is the HTC home screen with six buttons.
Hi,
Is it possible to install a TouchFLO CAB onto the AT&T Tilt? I have searched throughout this site and have seen it mentioned, but I have not found the actual TouchFLO CAB that I can install.
Thanks for your time.
already built in
Ya, it's already built in on our Tilts... but here's a twist...
What if I don't want to hear that stupid ticking sound? I remember seeing on the Kaiser ROM the option to turn it off, but the Tilt has no such menu option.
Moreso, how can one disable TouchFLO altogether? I don't recall seeing it as a Service or in the Startup menu0
I'm using helmi_c's cleaned up AT&T Tilt ROM.
You can edit the stupid ticking sound in the registry. 0=off
You can turn it OFF in the registry.

Or Downlaod and use KaiserTweaks, which has that, and many more tweaks you might enjoy. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333898
thanks everyone. I didn't realize I had touchflo because of two reasons.
1) there is no touchflo icon under settings.
2) touchflo isn't working for me when I use my finger to scroll. I think, I am not sure, that it is because I am using the protective screen that came in the AT&T box. That would suck.
Anyone experiencing the same thing?
You can change the sensitivity of TouchFLO via a registry change also containted in KaiserTweak....also, see this post for the "use cases" of how TouchFLO works...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1572140&postcount=14
i'll take this one step further. I don't see anything period on my tilt for touchflo. where do I find it?

The Tilt doesn't have the TouchFLO options config settings page. But it does ave TouchFLO. Bear in mind, TouchFLO is the finger dragging capability. The TouchFLO does NOT have the "cube" from the Touch phones. It just has the same ability to use your finger to move around the screen and "drag" pages.
Since there's no program on the Tilt to set the TouchFLO settings, you need to either do registry edits or use an app like KaiserTweak to modify the deault sensitivity and sound settings for it. Search around you'll find mor einfo. but that's the basics.
Now that we're seeing different colors and designs for the TouchFLO 3D Home screen today plug-in on different versions of the Touch Diamond, if anyone is planning on making a theme customizer that we can use to change these at will...
Please make it extensible enough so that other future and existing applications can be added and changed as well.

AFAIK, there are no ROMs for the branded devices available... When those become available, it'll be far easier to allow for skinning.
How about a project to adapt the remaining Windows Mobile "design look" into the Touchflo3D GUI? Of course tweaking performance at the same time to compensate for it as much as possible.

I was wondering whether to do that... These forums seem to be some of the cleanest (device wise) so keep up the moderating
If and when someone gets there hands on an operator branded device (or an operator ROM), I'll try and work out how the customization takes place...
Agreed.
I would love it if there was something extensible like Schap's Advanced Config, where anyone could customize an XML file or something and have the application load Skin/Theme options (like HTC Home Customizer does) for other applications (including TouchFLO 3D).
So like a hybrid between HTC Home Customizer which will load the proper image files/etc. to the proper places based on what you choose... and the Advanced Config program where you can add custom options by editing an XML file.
Doesn't that sound like a great tool for changing theme/skins for all of these applications?
I would LOVE to reorder the TouchFLO 3D Tabs at least!!!
I would love to change the color of my TF3D theme from o2 but keeping my german version!
When I recieve my XDA I can provide you with the included ROM but the delivery date is delayed.
I'm getting a T-Mob compact IV, dumping the ROM (assuming it's not already done by someone else by then) is near the top of my to-do list.
Anyone who's seen T-Mob's version of TF3D will understand my wish help the progress of a theme customiser!!!
2+ more weeks to go... :-(
Does it all mean that maybe one day it will be possible to add some other items to the TF3D??
I am desperately looking for an application like PocketZenPhone to switch the profiles with one touch!!! I didn't start using my diamond yet only because of this!!! I have to change profiles very often (bluetooth on/off, vibrating with sound and without sound, etc...) and it is really impossible everytime to enter menus!!!
Can someone help me.... please!?!
Bye

Try AEBPlus - it maps your hard ware buttons, I have just one set to turn on wi-fi, and the same button on double pressing to turn on Bluetooth, turn off the same way....

Thanks a lot... I'm going to try if it helps!
It would be better to have 4 or 5 icons like in PZP with different profiles, but also this can help.
Are you sure it works with WM6.1?? Because it is not in the list of compatible devices.
Thanks again!
Urosh
I tried to install AEBPlus but it was unsuccessful...
???
Do someone know why?
Thnx

TouchFLO 3D & other elements
How can I add other elements to the home screen using TouchFLO 3D? Can it be customized somehow?
I want to add todo list just like when not using TouchFLO 3D where it shows remaining tasks to fulfill??

Hi,
I did get an O2 ignito on Tuesday.
I ordered it on Saturday and PMed two of the better known cooks if they wanted a dump (sorry and no names) but not had a reply. They are obviuosly busy.
I did point out though that I had not dumped before and did not have anywhere to upload it to. I did find some threads to do it and it seemed complex.
I have now put on a rom from this forum and am very happy with it. Will donate.
The o2 rom was 1.92.2xx.

Got there before you
all I want to do is change the color of the text on the various tabs. the home screen/theme is perfect but the text is black on a black background. but the text is white on the home screen...paitently waiting.
Hello, i have bought my htc diamond yesterday, and i don't have the new interface with touchflo 3d. I have the old classic menu on windows mobile! In the menu, at settings-today-items i can't find touchflo, but i have the application, in settings menu ( as application).. help me, how can i activate touch flo
I can't understand why TouchFlo isn't already selected, but if it is indeed installed on your device, you activate it by...
Start...
Settings...
Personal tab...
Today...
Items tab...
Tick "TouchFlo 3D" and remove all other ticks
This should do the trick. If TouchFlo isn't showing in the "Items" list, then your device doesn't have it installed...
Oh Dear!
My friend called me up the other day with exactly the same issue. He had seen videos on youtube demonstrating the touchflo3d running and he realy liked the look of the way you could flick through contacts and messages.
He rushed down to the local tmobile store and demanded his diamond (compact iv)
He rushed home, unpacked the phone and was greeted with windows 6.1 standard screens throughout.
THE TMOBILE STAFF SOLD HIM THE MDA TOUCH!! (HTC VOGUE) nOT THE DIAMOND! They heard key words and thought of commission
Worse still, he opened the box and could not return the phone!
Honestly i doubt that this has happend to you, just thought it was a relevant funny story. Pretty sure one of the helpfull guys on here will provide you the assistance you need swiftly!
^^^Ouch... I would've flipped out.
don't know if there's a cab for that, you should search this forum and find out.
if not, learn how to flash another rom and problem solved
I have the HTC DIAMOND, not the htc vogue, LOL
I can't find the TouchFlo 3D in the items list. Should i flash my diamond? How can i do this? Thank you very much

At this forum there was a cab file including touchflo 3.x or 3.8. Try to search for it.
Is there any cabs out there that I can install on my Tilt to have the same looks and effects?
For Reference:
http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/htc_fuze_black_l.jpg
http://images.theage.com.au/ftage/ffximage/2008/11/11/htctouchpro_wideweb__470x388,0.jpg
Yeah....use search next time.
Are you referring to these? (screenshots below)
They are all taken on my tilt. It uses the old beta of touchflo 3D, diamond tf3dc config, and the at&t theme posted in the diamond forum.
What does not work is the touchflo 3d still will not let you power your device down, randomly freezes, and is very very slow.
Edit, and i almost forgot the resizing that the smaller screens have to do makes it look 'dirty' and not so clean cut as the original.
I was referring to this:
http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/htc_fuze_black_l.jpg
http://images.theage.com.au/ftage/ffximage/2008/11/11/htctouchpro_wideweb__470x388,0.jpg
The screen shot seems to show Manila working in landscape mode.
That is already in touchflo 3D, though, not working.
An alternative was something for manilla 2D that uses mortscript and shows a display much like that. Its somewhere in development and hacking.
Thanks I really appreciate it as well as your awesome sig. It certainly explains why I couldn't find a cab when I did a search.
No problem. I just wish I could tell you what the name of it was, but I don't remember (as I never used or had a need for it.)
