SOLUTION FOUND -CID/sim UNLOCKING FOR WIZARD WITH AKU2 ROMS.

warnning; does not work with g4 wizards!!!!!
this steps are to cid unlock and also to unlock sim in the folowing devices; qtek 9100, i-mate k-jam, mda vario, orange spv m3000, o2 xda mini s, dopod 838, Cingular 8125
first; you must make a full backup of you wizard before doing this , I personally use [wizBackup.exe] posted below for my backups and restores. This is not mandatory but could save an enormous amount of trouble.
I as most people with a wizard with the aku2 rom found out that it cannot be cid unlock with lokiwiz tool, you will get the following;{error:itwritedisk-an internal error occurred}.
. that is till now.

note- this steps is for unlocking the cid of the wizard with aku2 rom.
how to cid. unlock all wizard variants ( that have the latest rom build )
first download custom__ruu_wizard_1050412_wwe_101_11210_wwe. rom from the ftp site from the above link, unpack it and just click the romupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe to start downgrading. Simply follow the prompts.
after the rom are loaded go thru the initial setup as you would with any rom.
now download the (lokiwiz02b) from here;

Make sure you unzip lokiwiz to the root o the c: drive.
please copy the whole lokiwiz folder to the root of the drive,not the contentents of the folder!!!!!
and follow the instructions .do not forget to copy the cab file(enable rapi) to your device and run it before running lokiwiz.
Now run lockiwiz and unlock your machine, your machine will reboot itself. if yoy see an eroot while unlocking that says;

CopyFileToTFFS(cidunlocked.bin:0, 0, 00010000)
ERROR: ITWriteDisk - An internal error occurred.
this means that you device not been unloked......try again............

That’s it your wizard is unlocked. Make sure yew keep the [lock_backup.bin] in a safe place you may need it for guaranty purposes.
Now flash the latest aku2 rom from your provider.- [very important,to avoid future problems wit rom updates]
then u can flash any rom you want.
question: if i cid unlock and sim unlock my phone (after installing custom 1.5 wwe rom) and then i install latest aku2 i-mate italian rom, will the sim unlock (and cid one too) be preserved?
Answer: i can confirm that that upgrading to the latest aku2 rom the wizard remains cid unlocked.
Special thanks to the author of the above cooked rom [button] also to machinagod for the lokiwiz tool and joninla for finding the downgrade rom, molski for is input and everyone that contributed to the cause.
do not try to downgrade using an older wizard rom other than the one posted above it will not work
also this {how to} is for the htc wizard only it may work with other devices but i don’t know, so if you turn you device into a brick do not blame me. use it at your own risk
if you device is from a operator like: 02, orange etc... You will void your guaranty unlocking cid, but don’t despair, if you keep the [lock_backup.bin] file that the lockiz tool generated you can restore cid to factory default.
this proccess only needs to be done once in the wizards lifetime.

maybe if you find an older rom for you device i only have a wizard.take a look at the lokiwiz tread i belive tha someone mentioned the HTC Prophets.

it may be possible,if you have an old custom rom for your device ,found this;
On the one hand, HTC Prophet is a complete copy (both software and hardware are meant) of HTC Wizard. On the other hand, it's equal to HTC Magician in appearance. Now i know the wizard remains CID unlocked after the upgrade and that's good. I only hope that it stays SIM unlocked too.

Sadly, cant move back to older rom... keep getting error message saying the nk.nbf file is not valid/older than your current file.
I guess we just have to wait for an updated version of Lockiwiz

nothing except i did not post the link to the rom by mistake,did you use an old i-mate rom to downgrade? do not it will not work, use the one in the above link.thats the only one that it will work that a know for sure.

You mean to use the wizard rom on the prophet?
Won't that overwrite the bootloader with the one for the wizard???

haaa you have the prophet
dont do that it may turn the prophet into a brick the only way is to find an old custom rom for your device. take a look at the ftp site it may have one there.

is that mean i don't have to apply it to unlock the cid?
i just use the lokiwiz 2b to unlock the CID, after it, even i upgrade to the newest rom e.g. the new O2 rom, my CID still remain unlock?

Just check your device if it is G3 or G4, then either Unlock or HardSPL/SoftSPL your device and flash one of the Wizard English WM5/WM6 ROMs available.

"INVALID VENDOR ID"
plz help!!!

You DID NOT CID unlock your device.

If you have downloaded official Rom from it's website and still can't upgrade then use the 'ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID' replace it with the ruu in the official rom,you can get this from the below link.:-

i,ll try to update but language is still russian an ROM is still same.
I download thes file: RUU_NoID.exe, then i download an oficial ROM, then i replace the original ROM's RUU with RUU_NoID. operation begin, but after and of this nothing change.
ha can i change language for English? can anyone help me an give me a links of this files vich i can use???
my IPL/SPL is 2.16 and i think it is G3???
plz today i must do this i need help!!!

Well,I'll suggest you go for the second option,unlock your phone and upgrade to any latest wm6 custom build Roms.Once you get your phone unlocked,it stays unlocked and gives you the opportunity to keep on upgrading to the latest Roms and features.Read the stickies on unlocking and upgrading and do it correctly,I'm sure you'll have much more benefits and enjoyment.

ok,grrrrrr8,if you have managed to downgrade to ipl/spl 1.xx,its time to SIM/CID unlock the phone,read the 'definitive guide for unlocking by Dr.Puttingham and download the lokiwiz-2b tool and do the method exactly as stated in the guide to Sim/CID unlock your phone,after successful unlock upgrade to ipl/spl 2.xx by downloading and flashing T-mobile 2.26 to the phone,only then you can upgrade to any latest wm6 rom,as its required to have CID unlocked phone and ipl/spl 2.xx for upgrade to wm6.

Ok, so I have been reading through the forum and the wikis. I think I am more or less now ready to unlock and flash my phone with the latest rom. Just a few questions before just to make sure I got it all right before I do anything and completely kill the phone. The PDA I have is from an Orange UK contract.
WM 6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
Operator Version 24.181.1.612
Rom Version 1.81.61.2 WWE
Radio Version: 1.27.14.32
Protocol Version: 22.45.88.07H
So step 1) Install HardSPL (kaiser-HardSPLv1.zip, is the latest version right?)
Step 2) Run Kaiser SIM/CID Unlocker & Changer (latest version is 2)
Step 3) Install the new Rom (3.03.405.0 (Radio 1.64.06.04) updated original WWE)
Step 4) Do a Hardreset
So if I follow this process, with the help of the wikis it will unlock my phone and allow me to install the latest rom? Could you also tell me if I am running a correct version of Windows because I read somewhere I have to downgrade to version 6.0. Secondly, is the rom I have chosen above the correct one for my PDA? Thank you, all help appreciated. Sorry for being such n00b.

basically just follow post 3...once u do it once right u will do it more often and get used to it...the first time i had to read over the steps a few times just to familiarize myself with it..now its just download the rom and flash away...
in case u do flash more...u dont need to hardspl each time...once is good for life

thanks for that link. I read through it before my post. So do I just need to run HardSPL once and then flash the new rom. Or do I also require to run the SIM/CID unlocker changer as well?

k thanks, the way I have understood is that HARDSPL will do a CID unlock (not a sim, if I am not mistaken) and I will just have to use the SIM unlocker to sim free the device. Then off to flashing the rom with the version I described above.

its a bit more complicated with an orange phone mate. You have to SIM unlock it first to flash with a different radio and if you flash to WM6.1 you need a compatible radio...
sim unlocking is not that complicated and I managed it with the details on this forum, there is a bit thread about it somewhere...
Got my orange kaiser in the afternoon, by early evening I had unlocked, flashed, new radio and was happy.
The actual process of flashing a new ROM is pretty simple when you have done it once.

I have already downloaded OliPro's latest version so I am assuming I can just run this application and it will sim/cid unlock my phone?

I recommend you to get a batt charger cause it will die without charging.

Download 'Button's Rom 1.05' and try to flash it in Bootloaders and get it load up to Working OS,after that download 'WST_4.2.2' tool and CID unlock the phone.
After CID unlock you can flash any latest custom build wm6 rom.
You can try to download and flash the official stock rom,but as it has SPL 3.08,it won;t flash and give error.So try to flash Button's Rom a couple of times,hope it'll work.

Feeding who no wants to search and expend a little time and has a problem!
But you're welcome this is our job right here.
So first let your phone with a functional ROM then use WST 4... if the program dont works on activesync just put it on bootloader mode holding camera button then rest... wait for the RGB screen and then release the camera button.
Sorry for that.
