Just wondering, i thought that was the point of the touch roms to have touchflo
Example some devs have 2 roms a rom with cube, and without
Some cooks do have two versions of their ROM,
but many people here in the Herald forum don't have any use for the cube
and TouchFLO is being used in most of the ROMs down here,
but mainly for its finger friendly navigation.
Btw this post should have gone into the Herald mobile 6 forum.
This is for ROM developing only
Ooh, you might want to use those HTC cube clones over in the Development and Hacking forum.

I think alot of people are missing out on apps that happen to be in separate forums. I myself did not find the Diamond themes and software forum until having my Fuze for a while. When i did though i found a lot of software and applications that i would not have found had i not ventured into that section.
I have mentioned to developers in this forum too also post in that forum as well, but some may find its too tedious to control 2 threads for the same thing. Perhaps that or just a general Touchflo 3D section.
i think a TF3D section would be nice where Raphael and Diamond pages link to TF3D threads. This way all the TF3D items can be found together, and expansion and organization can be elevated between the two devices. Also Blackstone might be added to the list of devices to collaborate because of Manila HD? right? i'm still not even sure on what that is i havent researched much lately. thoughts?
I agree
It is a pain in the butt monitoring both threads and would be good it they could be joined into a single TF3D thread.
I guess it is up to the mods if it can be done or not.

Ya the Bstone could be incorporated. But since its Manilla HD and also its not VGA i thought it would cause issues, but of course its up to mods as Ant said.
This thread can help a little http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470023 but I also agree on the two forums...

Hello guys,
Anyone here on a similar search?
I have tried Dutty, Miri, NRG, Laurentis (did not install x2), all are good in some way, but really I have no use for TouchFlow3D, except I am not sure if when in SPBMS, whether some of the new finger friendly bits and pieces are WM6.5 or Manila, even though it is not running TF3D.
Please could someone suggest a rom that has some of the great new features, like WiFi tethering, finger friendly menus etc... but that is good for SPBMS 3.5
Tx
Mark.
Lets see:
Leo Laurentius
Miri
NRGZ28
Mikenif
Xannytech
kwbr
sparkienl
texture
onkolog
There's a few more but I sure hope it cleared things up for you
Wrong thread - wrong answer above.
the OP does not asks how many cooks there are. he wants others do do the job of using SPB (latest version we presume?) and reporting flaws.
I might be wrong
Thread will be moved anyway me think

It's Touchflo
I dont know about SPB MS but the ROM's with finger friendly menus seem to be anything in WM6.5 but more so in the ROM builds starting in 23xxx these builds are still a little unstable with 3rd party apps for obvious reasons therefore it may be some time before developers release apps that are compatible with WM6.5(.1?)
Totally wrong section for questions like this, nothing to do with ROM Development.
MOD EDIT
Threads already exist in Themes, Software & applications forum regarding SPB. Better to post your query within one of those.
This query is not related to rom development and therefore should not be posted in this forum. In future please try and abide by forum rules

I have a Tilt, but there are so many Mobile 6.5 ROM's out here and I've been out of the game for a while. Any suggestions?

You already posted this in the rom section and a Mod locked it and told you that roms are a personal choice and taking popularity polls on roms is discouraged here. So why would you just repost it somewhere else.
Read all the rom notes, pick a couple that might suit your needs, flash one, if you don't like it, flash another. We like and appreciate all our chefs and all the hard work that goes into rom cooking. No one here is going to be offensive by recommending one chef over another.
I have tried them all, none of the 6.5 s met my needs, so I went back to 6.1
Hello, is there an Official 6.5 rom from HTC without any added software or anything?
and if not, then what is the best and fastest 6.5 cooked rom out there?
Thats exactly what I was looking for as well.
Just 6.5 with no extra apps, fast as you like and all the HTC skinnage!
Thanks.
WM6.5 will not be released by HTC for the HD.
Therefore any 6.5 ROM for the HD must be cooked, however minimalist.
Try this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578338&highlight=vanilla
If you had done a bit of research beforehand you would have realised that HTC aren't releasing wm6.5 officially for the HD, so you won't be getting it.
However search these forums and you'll find lite roms as other people have requested this!! I see one link has been provided above.
Also to ask for best cooked rom is an opinionated query which is generally frowned upon in XDA as it created endless long threads with no solution because everyone has different opinions!!

Hey guys,
I can see this "Touch HD ROM Development" forum is messy with 6.1 and 6.5 ROMs together so its time to make a new Sub-Forums for 6.1 and 6.5 ROM separate... What do you guys think?
Actually I think its a great idea, Android too.
Regards
Flashmore
As a user of 6.1, I would really dig the addition of dedicated subforums.
Hope that can be done very soon, will be great and easy for everyone! get Moderator / Owner of this forum to do it?

I agree too with this nice idea.
Agreed!
I totally agree, it would definately help.
--I'd put a poll on it before asking the mods to do anything tho--
I'd also like to see this in the Apps/Themes section... some 6.1 icons and other stuff won't work 100% on 6.5 correct?

ok, first off the title to each rom thread should already tell you whether or not its wm6.1 or wm6.5, plus if we break it into sub-forums for this, were does it stop, i.e. new sub forums for sense/manila, different build versions, Android etc etc
People just have to learn to search, simple as!!
I'll mention this in the mods/admin section but I'm not sure it would go any further for reasons I've already mentioned, plus svetius/admin have enough on their plate as it already is

errr why, hardly any chef creates WM6.1 any more which is a shame.
even if they did they would probably have multiple offerings, ie a WM6.5 vers, WM6.5.5 and WM6.1 possibly.
Most people seem to title there threads pretty well these days, ie.[WM6.1]
I agree with Spartan
I have to agree with the Spartan.
The titles pretty much tell you what version of OS is installed. You just need to read, search, etc.
We also need to remember that most of the mods have day jobs too and volunteer their time to keep this place running. They do a pretty good job and I don't usually see any thanks sent their way for their efforts.
Just my 2 cents worth
great idea
I think it's a great idea!
1- wm 6.1 roms
2- wm 6.5 roms
3- wm 6.5.X roms
4- android development
would be great !
I agree that the title tells you but with sooo many roms still being cooked it would be nice to split it a bit.
A dedicated Android area would make that a bit easier to follow as there is a few things going on and they get very lost in the WM roms...
As to 6.1/6.5 maybe all we need is a ROMS only sub forum. leave the top level for discussing radio's and comparison roms. Also any other developments then the sub forum has ONLY the roms and nothing else.
Since there is no official HTC ROM for Touch HD on WM 6.5 or Android, I have to agree with Fallen Spartan.
Even if there is, such division would make tracking ROMs more difficult.
And if you spot ROM you like, there's always "Subscribe thread" option...
I agree too with subforums for WM 6.1 and WM 6.5 and even WM 7 and don't forget ANDROID or Linux subforum !!!
i don't think that this is a good idea, BUT...
would it be possible to creat a "filter", so that we can filter threads out or only view threads wich are in our interests.
And every Thread-creator marks a few options do define is thread.
This would be much better to search for special things like wm6.5, tf3d 2.5, or only wm6.5.x, wm6.5.x+tf3d2.5....

As it stands users who create threads can tag his/her threads with 'code words' which help for filtering when using the 'search option'
All we need is for people who create threads to use this option.....it already exists!!!!!
Hm... i thougt we couldn't search for things with only 3 letters.
Or is that possible with the "[]"s?
Cool, than it would be greate if all people would mark their threads with the right [...]s *gg*

I for one was out of the game for a while and came back to see 6.5 everywhere. I'm not particularly impressed and prefer a tweaked version of my original 6.1 ROM. I use the search function extensively for some tools and such that I used to use, but the problem is so many things from 6.1 carry to 6.5. Keywords and the like don't really change that much in the evolution of operating systems, so while I did find what I was looking for from several months back, it took an awful long time. Subforums would make things easier to find, and potentially cut back on useless posts because the information wouldn't be as chaotic. I understand it wouldn't be as easy as snapping fingers to make it happen, but with the various groups who follow the Blackstone, subforums would make information more accessible. Just my nickel's worth.
Bit of info for everyone
I've recommended that the Blackstone rom development forums be split into 2 sub forums
Android development & WM development
Think this should be enough at present to help de-clutter the forum. I still don't see a need for further sub-forums. People just need to learn to search!!!!!
Understand, this is only a recommendation and if may not be granted
EDIT - FLar has created a new thread with a poll to enable you to vote for the rom development forum to be split into Android development & WM development
