I've recently started using HTC's Audio Manager instead of Windows Media on my Tytn II, and I like everything about it except the way it sorts songs on an album. All of my songs are tagged with '01', '02', etc. in the beginning of the song title, and Windows Media correctly understands this and puts the songs in the order they appear on the album. However, Audio Manager only orders the songs in alphabetical order regardless of the order the songs appear on the album (even though the tags exist that should make them sort correctly). Anyone else notice this? Is there a fix for this?
i got the same problem...anyone know how to solve this?
audio manager track listing
yep, couldn't agree more- audio manager is great and with an 8gb sd card- i have an iphone killer. however the track listing problem really pisses me off. anyone got any ideas out there?
someone on this forum said that there is a new version of audio manager on the touch dual which doesn't have that bug anymore but i haven't seen it here yet...
When you originally rip the files on your PC the mp3 files have to have the track number information associated with them.
Go back to the files on WM player on your PC and right click then open 'Advanced Tag editor' ( the standard tags are being replaced) to change the track number or simply right click on the album and use 'Find Album info' as it will do all this for you.
Hope this helps.

Yeah but did you know WM pocket player uses 'old' tags and HTC's uses the new advanced v2 ?? (that's why I mentioned them!!)
Soz you will even find this prob in early versions of TCPMP.
Just trying to help.
Try dutty's htc audio manager:

I think this is the same version as above, but I can guarantee it works as you want:

This is really a useful app now. I just ditched WMP out of my cube.

Hi all,
got something that's driving me crazy, i can sync my music with windows media player fine and the music copies across as it should however when i come to play the music with touchflo 3d it only shows the first lot of music i put on.
I cannot seem to figure out how to refresh the libray on touchflo 3d...
does anyone have the answer for me?
thanks
If you tap 'Library', then slide accross to Albums... do your recently synced items show up there?
I am having this problem too
I cannot see any of my music in TF3D music player
no nothing is showing up i resynced all my music with media player and still nothing shows, it nows says no music found.
there must be a better way to sort the library.
there shouldnt be this hassle just to put music on the phone!
I think you require too much for a phone so cheap.
Try the advantage,or wait for HD.

i want your job if you consider this to be (a phone so cheap)
you get paid too much.
on the plus side to the normally challenged people out there , you have to update the library in windows media player, then go into library on touchflo 3D, select all songs and play the first track it then updates all the tracks for you.

thannks man, this has been driving me crazy - talk about a flaw in the system!
Will
Delete Application Data/HTC/AudioManager/AudioManager_Eng.vol and do soft reset.
this will rescann your complete library.
i got the same problem and this helped
I still cannot get it to work - all my music syncs of from media player and I can play it on media player on the diamond but on TF3D it just hangs on Searching!!!
If i delete all my media and load 1 song it works fine if I do the above deleting of the HTC application folder but if I then try to add some more it does not work!!
Has anyone got this working? or is it just me?????

prob just you lol, works for me try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397819&highlight=tf3d+music+albums
just add the music to internal storage yourself? :S works fine for me
nope didn't work...must be just me!!
I have moved to S2P but its a shame i wanted to use the built in stuff
I had the same problems too. Until I read and followed the instructions for adding songs and album art and updating the library on TF3D.
Now for the enchilada!! Does anyone know how you can update windows media's library (once you have added more songs to the Diamond from PC) and set it to search in a particular folder instead of adding all the media files on the phone(tomtom files, alert & warning sounds and the like) to your music library. Only solution thus far more is to delete these files every time i update, which is now getting a bit tiring .
Any help or suggestions welcomed.

Initially when i clicked a you tube video within IE or Opera 9.5 the video used to open in a seprate player that came pre-installed with WM6.1 if i am correct i think it was HTC's own but i may be wrong. Anyway since i installed real player clicking a link in IE dose nothing and in Opera real player opens and throws up some unable to connect error.
Why has what appears to be the default program for playing you tube clips be replaced with real player
Uninstalling real player makes no difference either.
any help really appreciated
Cheers
Andy
I have been looking in the registry and have no idea what I am looking for, and don't want to make it any worse than it already is
guess I am just going to have to flash the rom again and do without realplayer
You could use a program like SkTools to edit file type associations. I think Dinarsoft's MemMaid also allows you to customize file type associations.
Also why don't you install the Youtube Player app? Makes watching youtube videos much easier then browsing for them in Pocket IE or another browser and having them load up in a video streaming app. Its all done within the app so you dont have to worry about realplayer or another app hijacking your file associations.
Ahhh thanks very much, i was not aware such a program existed
appreciate the reply mate
Hello,
Is anyone here able to reccommend some programs that can offerr the following:
Audio player that I can start to listen to an audio book mp3 file then can close the application or switch off the phone then go back and reopen the player and continue listening from the same point?
Application so I can password protect or pincode protect some folders - Just a simple pin code protection is all i need.
Thanks
Regards,
Neil
No one? - Please can someone help?
Nitrogen - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=59478
And HTC Audio Manager
I can't see how the Nitrogen app can do what I need!
Bumping this thread - I need the same program that Neil is asking for. Just a simple file protection by password - nothing elaborate needed. When I had my Palm treo the built in messages software had the ability to just secure each file by a password if needed. Looking for the same here. I've done searches and nothing relevant came up. Anyone?
I used Pocket Music for audio book for long time. It is the best.
It has bookmark feature and automatically save the last point you listened to, and resume when next time you start it. ( all those features have to be turned on via settings)
Also I set the Camera button to act as play/pause key very handy...unfortunately hardware button mapping doesn't work with raphael. It works perfects with old wm phones but has some issues on raphael/diamond.
I downloaded it from iphone-forum.org and pda4x.com long time ago.
Don't know if you can find one (especially the latest one with crack )
encrypt folders -- use winrar or zip for wm?

I've been using MortPlayer to do that. The setup wizard allows even a novice to select directories with songs to use in regular music mode, and directories with audiobooks. Everyone else can set it up easily through the menus.
With a tap on the screen I can switch to the music directory to listen to music, or flip to the audio-book directory to continue listening from where I was at in the book. Long drives in the car require some variety...
PocketPlayer
GSPlayer
TCPMP
I've got my AHD bluetoothing it to my Subaru Impreza's stereo, which has a small LCD panel to display stuff like Title, Song, Artist, etc. Well, for a while now when I have the stereo on Bluetooth Audio mode, all I get from the phone is "Facebook / Facebook Notifications / Facebook pop", unless I'm using the Google Play app, which I rarely do. It's really annoying, I'm sick of seeing that! I don't even use frickin' Facebook that much, maybe once a week. I guess I could uninstall the app, but using the web mobile site sucks.
I do use Bluetooth Audio for my podcast player and audiobook player.
How do I get that message to go away?
HELP?
facebook pop is the name of the notification sound of the facebook app.
you can find it in some trivial place like sdcard/notifications.
if you dont want android to see it, you can create a blank file named .nomedia it will flag the folder as hidden for any media players.
