USA Tmobile Prepaid sim wap settings for Wing? - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

USA tmobile Prepaid SIM Tzones WAP settings for Wing? Is there such a thing?
Searching through google only brings up the 5.99 proxy settings, which I have and works great with my regular monthly plan.
However, for my Prepaid SIM, which I occasionally pop into my Wing, can't get Tzones to work with Any settings. With non-PPCs, I can use the limited Tzones with the Tmo Prepaid sims.
If it is not possible to use the tmo Prepaid WAP on a PPC/Smartphone, 2nd question is, How does the PIE browser identify itself to the web as a Smartphone? and can this browser id be changed?
ps: I'm sure this has been asked before, but all searches point me to the 5.99 proxy, which does not apply to the Prepaid SIMs.

Can I use an ATT Blackberry Curve 8300 SIM in a Kaiser?

I have a BB8300 (Curve) on AT&T with unlimited Blackberry data for use with BES, it's all paid for by my work. The BB8300 is EDGE only
If I got an unlocked Kaiser, can I swap this SIM and get on the 3G network and still have unlimited data via my Blackberry plan? Would I need to do any hacking on the phone?
I used the sim from my AT&T blackberry Pearl and it worked just fine.
Short answear is YES... all new AT-T and some old school blue AT-T SIM's work just fine
bbconnect config
Hi,
can you tell me hox to configure the device to have the blackberry services functioning.
Thanks in advance.

Any way to get WAP access via AT&T on the Kaiser?

I just switched to AT&T from T-Mobile (using an MDA) so I could get the Kaiser/Tilt at a great price.
Back with T-Mobile I used to pay for the T-Zones account for $5.99 a month and I would be able to get (albeit slow) internet access using that plan. Since I am usualy in an area with WiFi that worked out fine for me in the few instances when I needed the net while WiFi wasnt available.
AT&T though seems to only have data plans starting at $29.99 and up for the Tilt.
Does AT&T offer a similar WAP plan for another phone that I could put onto my plan and access the net the same way I used to with my MDA on T-Mobile?
with the right sales person, and the right person saying the right things, you can get 3g speeds for 19.99/month.
I think I just saw that plan on their site, the Cellular Connect Unlimited w/ Mail, meant for normal phone's not PDA's.
Guess I'll have to look into that option. Thanks.

for those on tmobile USA plz help!

hey guys, i was using an unlocked tilt on tmobile with no probs until the 5.99 tzones plan stopped working. i then proceeded to take that plan off and added the 19.99 total internet plan. ever since then i cant connect to the internet! at first i thought there was something wrong with my account, however one of my friends has an mda with the same plan as me. so i took out my sim card and put it in his mda and put his sim card in my tilt. now the internet on his phone (with my sim card) works and the internet on my tilt (with his sim card) doesnt work! we have the same exact settings, so i dont know whats going on??!! i was thinking it was somehow incompatible with my radio; and so far i've tried 1.27.12.11 and 1.27.12.17, and both dont work.. i'm currently using dutty's #7 nontouchflo rom... thanks for any help!

Omar, are you in South Florida? If so read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366634&page=2
Even if not, T-mo is testing 3G in other areas so it may still apply.
internet connection
the t-zone internet uses wap. if you look at your current internet connection modem it probably says wap.voicestream.com. the total internet package uses internet2.voicestream.com

wap.voicestream.com and internet2.voicestream.com - I am convinced they are virtually the same thing.
My total internet works either way on each phone I have.
I also have a Tilt on tmobile network, and i have had no probs.. the only snag i have ran into is i have to change my setting when i want to send MMS and getting onto the Internet... but no biggy, as long as i dont have to pay the $19.99 price...

T-Mobile Apn Settings?

Has anyone got working Apn Settings for t-mobile g1 users without a data plan, but with an unlimited mms/sms plan?
you don't have to change your apn settings for sms. However, mms is no longer available for G1's by changing the apn settings. T-Mobile caught wind and fixed that.

[Q] Connnecting to Cingular APN

Anyone successfully connect to the old cingular apn? It won't let me get a 3G data connection (I get signal bars with an exclamation point on the icon). If I force 2G, it will fully connect to edge. Then if I select 3G as my preferred network type the signal icon switches to 3g then H and then back to the exclamation point all very quickly. I have tried a couple apn settings without any luck. Since I'm getting service, but it won't give me data, is there something baked in the phone not allowing me to connect? I can put the sim in my old phone (optimus g) and it connects fine.
I can connect to the normal "nxtgenphone" apn but I don't want to right now.
any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated
isnt cingular the old tmobile? cingular doesnt exist anymore from what i understand, so you cant expect to connect to it.
Cingular is ATT now.

I can connect to the att apns, but my download speed is a whopping 0.5 Mbps. Connecting to cingular apn, which I can do with my old phone, at least gets me back into 3g speeds.
Are you on an lte provisioned account? If so the older apn's are locked out. Att did this because of the ability to bypass the throttle restrictions when on an unlimited plan. As far as the apn that works for 2g, that's probably the mms network.

Check the attached screenshot for the APN settings, even though its called ATT. Its worth double checking. Otherwise, two things should happen - find your old phone and get them to reprovision your account to work with the old APN, or troubleshoot with them and find out why you're getting such **** data speeds.

Are you on an older unlimited Nation plan or Family talk plan with unlimited data? If so, your speeds are being throttled after surpassing 3gb. Those download rates are tell tale. AT&T has blocked APNS other than NXTGENPHONE for those using a capable LTE device for the reasons mentioned above . If you were to change the APN to regular 3g ATTPhone or Cingular WAP. Your account is auto provisioned to reduce speeds.
Yeah throttling is the issue. Just strange I can go through cingular with a different lte capable phone.

Using a Family Share Plan I had connected via the default AT&T APN. I believe it was AT&T "phone" APN. However, I recently switched to my company provides AT&T Corporate Mobile Share Plan, and I had to switch my APN to AT&T "PTA" APN in order to get LTE to work. This is what I'm currently using on my Nexus 6. AT&T's NXTGENPHONE APN did work for me when I was running the 5.0 Developer Preview on my Nexus 5 on the AT&T Corporate Plan. However I lost the settings for it. Does anyone have a listing of the APN settings for it? I would like to compare speed tests.
Nevermind, got it from source
