AFAIK, only garmin has the Middle East maps. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=138&pID=11413 SKU: 010-11034-21
Do you have a full version of the software
You can get the full version at the link provided.
I know you're not asking for a "Free" copy as this forum doesn't allow WAREZ!
Trust me, I have been in Dubai, unless you want to drive around in 6 hours every day trying to find your hotel, you better get a GPS map, or your trip will be wasted. You might want to try the TomTom maps, they should also have a map for Dubai I think

Hello boys...
I have spent last 46 hours (ain't sleep last night ) to set up Garmin Mobile XT on TYTN II and I give up! I have read all of yours advices but still don't get how to put this thing to work. It just won't find gps receiver. All the time the same message.
I've downloaded all necesarry software and replaced all files as i found here but it's not working. I use SCG and Adria route maps. Right now, kaiser is searching and searching for gps receiver...and still nothing....
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this sh't?
Maps are unlocked and I can browse map but it says that I need to type some 8 character code for software....maybe that's why he won't register internal gps receiver ???
Please help me
p.s. sorry for my english i know it's not verry well, but I hope u'll understand me
Thats right, you need the code. Buy or borrow it.
Is it possible to enter a code form a keygen or something? I can't believe that a code would stop me in this ....
update:
Well I have successfully cracked Garmin Mobile XT but I have problem with maps. I want to use existing maps (which I have for a year used in Garmin Nuvi 250) on my PDA. Is it possible now to use those maps? They are already unlocked but for Garmin Nuvi...is that making some difference?
Please help
Yes, it is doable, but what you're asking is illegal. Circumventing copywrited software will get you sent to 'federal pound you in the @$$ prison'
Anyone has tried TomTom Navigator with the raphael?
How did u success?
I've installed it once, but had some problems that made it kinda useless, very bad gps lag and the signal level indicator was missing (IE. saying no signal).
EDIT: First post in this area, yay
TomTom installed just fine and worked fine yesterday, but now it can't find any satelite signals. I had the same problem on the Tilt. Guess I am giving up on TomTom.

HTC TP TomTom works just fine
Hi
Yes I'm using TomTom almost every day to/from work and it works just fine. TomTom had a major update a few weeks ago and after the update it works perfect. I bought the map-version on their website and had some struggle to install it on my phone, but after activate my SD-micro card like TomTom explained on their support site, it works just fine. It has fix on at least 5 satellites in less than 30 sec every time. But it's important to have a radio that gives you that the possibilities to have just that. There is good information to find the best radio in Raphael WiKi forum. TomTom has included traffic information as well, so I use any suggestion in order to avoid blocked streets.
Sincerely
Morten from Oslo, Norway

What version is it? I'm still using one the binary I found here in the forums as I thought there wasn't an official one working yet. (i.e. you have to use application binaries from phones with it preinstalled.)
Mine works fine as well though, but it's always nice to go "official" when you have bought the maps anyway....

After I added the tweaks for TT (mentioned on XDA) TT works much better. Better responce and accuracy. (on MDA Compact IV original T-mobile NL rom)

Mind to show us the way to that tweak? Mine TT7 on my CDMA TP works just fine (it finds satellite quite quickly) but there is some noticible lags.

Thanks GVR! Seems like that solved the lagging problem on my CDMA TP! Now TT7 is much faster in terms of updating my location.
And that was my only issue with the GPS here, I was able to get a fix with 9 satellites INSIDE a highrise in downtown in less then 5 seconds.
Awesome! I'm going to save that and hope someone can create a cab for those edits.
Hi guys
I have recently purchased HTC Touch PRO (Raphael) and tried to install TomTom Navigator 7.450 (9028) for Windows Mobile with Tomtom Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_810_1940 but can not do it.
I mean I have installed TOMTOM all fine but it shows me that maps are not supported by this device
Can some one help me and point me in the right direction on how to install these maps ?
Cheers and many thanks

You took a map version 8.10. That will not work
The right ones have the version 7.xx

After a major update true TomTom Home 2.4 I've got version 7.910 (9185). That is the official version and I'm using maps for western and central Europe bought from TomTom. I started with the TomTom CAB application found here in the forum, since there wasn't any to download. But last week the program (CAB) in my HTC TP was updated automatically using Home 2.4. Even my maps are now automatically update once TomTom relizes updates.
I have a signed CAB version in my PC and HTC TP from TomTom now, that came with the update, but I do not know if it can be used by others. Maybe it is signed to be used only with my TomTom maps?
The CAB file is named navcore_7.910.9185_TT_SIGNED.htc_raphael.CAB
I will not upload anything until someone tells me wheter I am aloud to do so and that it will not be a violation in this forum.

Im afraid to say you will not get much help because these are maps that werent purchased or obtained legally, hence it falls under the Warez category. I kindly advice you to stop asking instead before you get banned. Have a nice day
I installed TT7 and ran a test 2 days ago. The result was GPS show me 500 ft ahead
Can I please get a link to this program?
Link to TT7
you can find it in this forum

I think it's Xtreme XL post.
FYI ... TT7 is backward compatible with the 6.75 maps.
Hi, I wasted an entire weekend trying to get TT VERSION 7 to work. I have downloaded TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-vga-black and I have a Southern_Africa_v7.20.1862 map.
After installation, TT goes through the process of choosing lang, speaker etc.It then asks me to download a free map, Southern Africa is not located in the list.
Can somebody please please assist and tell me what I am doing wrong and How can I activate the Southern_Africa_v7.20.1862 map.
Is there a way where I can just use the Southern_Africa_v7.20.1862 map and not download any others? Another issue, How do I activate my GPS unit?
Thanks in advance

you have to place your Southern Afrika map in the folder My Documents @ your memory card, otherwise Tomtom will not see the the map
Hi anyone!!
I got TT6 installed on my TP, but its got old maps. some streets dont exsist anymore or you cant get there the way TT shows.
i installed tomtom home, but it doesnt want to connect because i already have a tomtom one (give it to my girl) so it wont update my maps. i will only install TT7, but the maps wont work. so i put back TT6. how can i update the maps?
I don't know what country that you're looking for, but i assume they are North American maps.
Soooorry, there is no way to buy America and Canada maps for tomtom 7 at this time. You could do it couple of months ago by picking up a device as tomtom One. Now, all the maps for standalone Tomtom are version 8.xx; however, version 8.xx won't work on tomtom 7 application.
no no, im looking for benelux maps
Here you go http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/select.php?D=1058&Language=4&P=5561
Log in your tomtom account and add another device. You may also want to change to you country so you can pay by Euro.
The 6.75 maps will work with TomTom 7.
How do you get this back on, after flashing a HTC rom?
Thanks.
Browse to Orange World on your phone and download the app. Personally, I think its a load of crap myself and with A-GPS, its a license to print money.
Got myself a Touch 3G free from Orange on Thursday, and got stung on data with their so-called "Unique" service, plus we all know what Orange are like for shoving their own crappy firmware on phones, disabling features, and forcing people to gorp at their abismal orange and grey customisation!!
Well, I soon put paid to that, my friend.....
Now running the 2.32 olinex loader, Official European (debranded) 2.33 firmware, with SPB Mobile Shell 3.01 over the top, and TomTom v7.9 for my sat nav. Also got an 8GB card coming on Monday, so happy days are here again...

Yes, do tell. I am running 2.32 I think, from the ROM page here.
Where did you get Tom Tom from? It can't be purchased on their web site as a download. It comes on its own card which is pointless as I've already got one.
If you access the Orange website, it doesn't allow downloading as says not valid phone or something like that ...
Quick GPS?? Whats use?
Hello,
I did HSPL and got rid of Orange Unique. I am unaware of using GPS navigation. Just wanted to know what this Quick GPS is? Does anybody know free navigational software (like Tomtom) which I can install on my Jade and play with it.
Second and very important thing I wanted to confirm, if I am able to install Tomtom on my Jade, will I have to pay my mobile service provider for using GPS?
Sorry about my lack of GPS knowledge, kindly reply.

I think Quick GPS is something that helps get a quick lock on the GPS and then stores that data, at htcwiki.com it says "Quick GPS can speed up the amount of time for determining a users GPS position by downloading the latest satellite information via an Internet Connection"
I do not know of any free directional sat nav for win mobile. Google Maps is free though, but does not AFIK give turn by turn directions.
Co-Pilot 8 is rather inexpensive - have a look at their web site alk.com (but read their forum too before committing to a purchase).
No you do not pay for GPS usage to anyone.
hi
I just moved from europe to the us and i am wondering what's the best gps software?
I used to use tt6 in europe and i am now using garmin mobile xt.
Why they don't have us map for tt7???
there is US map for both just search the torrents website.
what ???
tt7 don't have us maps, according to there web site!!!
Garmin is 20 times better anyways.
well some features are great in garmin mobile xt but i really think that tt is better!!!

I have and use tt7. I have US and Canada maps.
TT7 is much better than Garmin in my opinion. Each to is own.
Copilot Live 8
I am using Copilot Live 8.
They just turned on the live services, including traffic and local search in the US.
The base price of the software is around $35.00 US. A one year subscription for Live Traffic and Local Search is $19.99 USD.
The software has a nice interface, and works well with the Tilt.
@ greywolf1965
where did you get tt7, the maps are not available on there web site!!!
I use OnCourse Navigator 8 and I find it very user friendly. It has US maps and thay seems to be from the same source as google's (I know because in goolge my street map info is wrong as in OCN8 and it used to be good two years ago)
Tomtom doesnt have lake maps which is just one reason i like garmin better. I used to use tt7 with us and canada maps, but then i tried gamin and its like night and day. There are us maps for tt7, but you get us and canada, which is almost a gig of maps. With garmin, you can build a map set of whatever you want and not be forced to carry around maps of places YOU WILL never go. Like i said, garmin is 20 times better
I use a combination of Garmin Mobile XT and Google maps on my Kaiser depending on what I am trying to do. I lost my free internet, so I had to get my own, so I just bought a data plan through T-mobile, so all my personal internetting is done that way now.
The Garmin works well; I hate the routes it tells me to take, although it pretty much always gets you to where you need to go one way or another. The biggest problem I have (maybe I am doing it wrong) is when I want to search for a city such as Jackson, WY, I'll start to enter the name of the city, and it'll bring up a list of Jacksons from every state in the country, and you have to browse through them yourself to find the Wyoming one. If I type J-A-C-K-S-O-N then a comma, WY it won't take it.
It should have a QWERTY keyboard on the touch screen. It will tell me arrival time, but it won't tell me how long it'll take me to get there. I have to calculate it myself, and I'm not sure if it'll take into consideration time zone changes. It'd also be nice to be able to scroll the map with the buttons on the face of the phone as you can with Google maps. That way, it can be done one-handed easily.
Garmin's day/night function is handy to have. All the US maps fit on 1.2 GB, which isn't didly squat for today's storage needs.
Problems with google maps include not being able to get phone calls while your data session is moving data, and when you're out in Timbuktu with no cellular coverage, you're dead in the water. Which is ironic because I never get lost in metro areas. I can always dig my way out one way or another, but when you're not sure if you have to go another 50 miles yet or you missed your turn and have to go back, that is when a GPS is nice to have. But in places where these scenarios actually happen, there's no phone coverage.
