Vista Sync - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I can only get Vista WMDC to see a new ROM once. I have followed the driver updates for the RUU. Still it doesn't alllow me to sync.
It just says not connected. USB or Bluetoothe.
I can use the phone to connect to the net either way though...
I searched and didn't see much on this...

Without connecting your device, open WMDC, click on Mobile Device Settings, End a partnership, Choose which partnership to end, click on End Partnership. Re-establish connection to your device from WMDC.

I have tried doing that. That will only work if the ROM I am using is different than the one I had original set up WMDC with.
For instance the other day I loaded Dutty's latest offering and when I went to download some pictures WMDC just said not connected. I deleted the device and upon reconnecting the device it saw it fine. I disconnected the device and when I tried later to connect it said not connected. I checked the cable, used the same USB port, tried blue tooth aand deleted the device and reconnected all with the same result. Not connected...
I of course made sure that USB was checked. I even did the driver upgrade for RUU for Vista.
My Kaiser tethers to the laptop perfectly through USB and Bluetooth so it doesn't seem a port problem, cable problem... The Kaiser syncs fine with my XP laptop as well using the same cable.
I am running Vista Home Premium and Dutty's latest...

Are you running the latest version of WMDC? I believe the latest version is 6.1.

you can always double check if

xv6600 serial v 1.02?

I updated my audiovox xv6600 with a newer rom update and microsoft active sync failed during the rom update. Now all the screen says is serial v1.02. I know this is bootloader mode but the OS wont boot. How can I fix this?

how do I do that if active sync wont connect?
You don't use activesync to flash a device, that's why. Leave it in bootloader mode, plug it into the USB on the computer, and run the upgrade utility. That's it.
It says I need an active sync connection to do it.

That doesn't make any sense because the ROM updater disables AS and puts the phone into bootloader mode to do the update. Just click next...

Gah, can you resize the image next time? That was a bit big.
And if you look at the message, it does say that you need the activesync connection, it says to make sure your device is synced with your computer using activesync. That's just basic data loss prevention.

Activesync 4.5 WILL NOT INSTALL

My new AT&T Fuze is my 4th WM (PPC) device. I have been using both Palm and WM devices for years. The problem I am having is that I am trying to install Activesync 4.5 on my HTPC running Windows XP Pro x32 SP3 and I keep getting the same error every time. The program looks pretty much like it installs fine but at the end the final window says:

}
If I try to sync at this point my Raphael will be detected but no drivers will be found nor loaded so I can not sync.
If I boot into XP Pro x64 SP2 on the same machine I can install and use Activesync with no problem.
I have searched the Net extensively and tried many potential solutions but none of them worked. So you know what I have tried, I have:
Run 'fixmapi.exe'
Renamed my existing mapi32.dll then run fixmapi.exe to create a new one
Disabled my network connection, shut down my firewall/v-scanner (Zonealarm) then tried
The method at this link
Successfully installed Activesync 4.2 then installed v4.5 over it (same error)
I have also searched the forum here including these threads with no luck.

I have not tried installing under Safe Mode because I know that it will not work as the Installer Service would not be running under Safe Mode.
A solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
Try to install ActiveSync with this command line:
setup.msi /log C:\log.txt
Then post the log.txt file.
As requested.
Try to install... Windows Media Player 10 or above...
Here's the link: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/2/A/12A31F29-2FA9-4F50-B95D-E45EF7013F87/MP10Setup.exe
I already have Windows Media Player 11 installed.
Still having problem
I am still having this problem. Any help is appreciated.

GalaxyTab(GT1000) flashed by USB ? USb seems to be defect..

Hello,
actually don't know why but my galaxy tab doesn't seem to work over usb. It loads through usb like normal.. but it doesnt connect for odin or just as hard drive.
wether in ubuntu(linux) nor OS X or even Windows 7 (tried several pcs and several editions, with and without kies bein installed!)
Any clue if I can flash it through SD without the need of connecting it to a PC ? Or how I can fix the usb problem ?
I guess it came through a "failed flash" but I dont know. I tried to flash it once through ODIN but after that try it didn't work. The TAB itself works like everything else but just the usb connection doesnt!
I think maybe after flashing a new rom it will work again ?

Go to menu, settings, wireless and network, go down to usb settings and make sure it is selected as mass storage. I am not sure if you have tried this or not but after I flashed I had no working usb so I went into the usb setting and I had to select mass storage and now it works perfect.
I hope this helps you in any way

{SOLVED} Good ADB connection but fails at Fastboot under Windows 8.1?

SOLVED
Hello, while trying to SIM unlock following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 and this custome HBOOT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565201
I notice my fastboot connection fails with a "USB not recognized" error after trying fasboot everytime.
Never had this problem before, and ADB recognizes my device correctly every time. Re-installed drivers, and tried other laptops, but all fails at fastboot, which never happened before.
Some info: Windows 8.1, latest drivers (tried different ones), S-OFF, tried various USB ports and laptops. Never had fastboot problems under Windows 8.1 before.
EDIT: I think the problem is the phone itself now after using that custom Hboot? Reason being that no matter what RUU I try, when it tries to start the bootloader, the USB not recognized appears just like when I boot into the bootloader and try to fastboot any command.

So, I guessed right... turns out, under Hboot 1.55, my drivers that worked with 1.56, don't work anymore, so I had to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 x64 on another laptop in order to have a correct Fastboot connection .
There is another thread floating around on getting correct drivers for Hboot 1.55 under Windows 8.1, but I was too lazy to try and, and didn't mind installing a copy of Windows 7 as a dual boot on a laptop, just in case I need it in the future.
PS: I think it would also work under a virtual machine of windows 7 (vmware or virtualbox)

Fire 7 (7th gen) doesn't connect to any computer

I tried everything I could think of, try different cable, install adb driver, try in different computers, turn ADB debugging on and off, turn MTP on and off.

It doesnt even see it in portable devices nor does it install drivers when I plug it in.

Possible the USB port is damaged if there is no host acknowledgement when the device is initially tethered.

It would seem you have ruled out most common obstacles by trying different hosts, ports, cables drivers, etc. Windows should acknowledge a hardware connection (audibly and in device manager) even if the 'wrong' driver is installed/selected. A final test might involve placing your device in recovery mode and invoking the sideload option while monitoring Windows device manager. If nothing shows up the you have a 'hardware' issue would could be any component in the chain.
