GPS not working - ho to test/setup

Hi all i installed RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.35.00.11_Ship.exe
on my device and iu cant get GPS to work. I installed garmin Que, i have set it to use port 9 but it says that it cand find the GPS device. This is from a completly fresh rom, no settings changed. IS there anythig i need to check to get GPS working??? any help will be much apreciated

I think you must flash the dopod rom before flash the cooked...
Whait somebody to confirm that.

GarminQUE uses proprietary garmin protocol input/output from Garmin devices. So you can not use Qualcomm GPS chip that uses NMEA protocol in combination with GarminQUE. HOWEVER, you can "translate" the NMEA stream to GARMIN by installing GPSGate or GPSProxy that creates virtual COM port with Garmin or NMEA output translation. That's the only way to use GarminQue with your NMEA Qualcomm GPS-enabled Trinity
But first, you have to install the DOPOD D810 GPS enabled firmware. You can find it a few posts above.

found in the wiki page and there use this cooked rom.
However i have found and triend another GPS program, a trial, GPS tuner and i maged to get a gps fix and all working fine with it, so GPS is good .

Lastest Radio cannot be found

Hi all,
Looked in the wiki for ages and cant find the lastest radio's for the blue angel.
Could someone please direct me to the right place to find them and kindly tell me the best radio to flash as well.

sorry about that, i thought it wasnt since the FTP links didnt work on my computer at home but did at work.
by any chance do you know how why i cant download these at home? i've downloaded them but cant send them via gmail as they dont allow it and i dont have a medium to save it on, doh!

When i try to upgrade either in bootloader or connection in activesync, i get error 120 country error.

Destinator 7 Cant find GPS

I upgraded my HTC Touch Diamond to latest ROM provided from the website. Installed Destinator 7 on it. But It cant find the GPS on my phone.
I updated QuickGPS via internet. Any tips how to run the software properly ?

hi,
I was trying to configure my HTC diamond to use COM4 / 4800 / NNEA but the destinator software still say that it can find the GPS.
my rom is the latest from HTC (1.93)
anything I can do ?

Reboot Diamond, cold reset the GPS, erase its memory, reboot again, let it find the fix - takes approx. 2 mins and then run Destinator.
From my experience this exercise has to be performed after some ROM upgrades but only once, the GPS then works fine until another ROM upgrade.

I don't use an external GPS... I am trying to use the internal one.
Anything else I can do ? something ? someone ?

anyone know if theres a way to use the diamond as gps-device? theres a programm called GPR-Router in the HTC-tool-collection which seems to do so, but on the PC-side i need a 'generic usb to serial' driver and cannot find a suitable one ...

Use Franson GPSGATE, it installs on both pc and ppc, and connects via bluetooth or activesync as far as I remember.

doesnt work ... when i try to install the mobile-version from wap.gpsgate.com i get the error-message: ... cannot be installed because the javax.microedition.io.Connector.bluetooth.client is not avaiable ...

i downloaded a cab file to my diamond, and it works fine.

how to use wifi Himalaya Mobile 6

i am using c_shekhar s rom 6.1.2a16cs and in wlan manager shows wireless Lan OFF . Turn on WLan i am now in australia and before was in india please help me how to use here wifi here and it wont turn on when i click on Turn on Wlan thanks i want use as i am using on laptop but i dont know how to use it free

Click the Turn Wifi On, goto Setings, Wifi..then just tap&Hold on the Access Point and click Connect..i have this problem sometimes too..thats a workout for it
its caused bys ome unsusal app which i havent figured out, YET

Unfortionatly this ROM is very good but missing some files for wifi.
