kaiser windows mobile 6.. anyone know how to get that shortcut expand on your startup menu? on the previous rom i had v2 something something something i was able to just go to startup, then click on a folder, then it would expand into application.. on windows mobile 6, i had to click on a folder which open up a new window (dont want it to open a new window) i don't know how to config it like before...
i'm gonna guess that what you are looking for is quickmenu
Yes sir, that it quickmenu =) .. .doesnt windows mobile 6 have that? i tried search through out my phone, don't see it.
its not part of wm6, its just an app that you have to add on you own. search for it, someone posted a cab for it here recently
found it.. thank you..

Does anybody know a program, or how to edit the start menu bar so that it goes down to the bottom of the screen instead of staying at the top? (Like a PC)
(P.S I don't think WisBar does it, and even if it does, it screwed my TyTN II up bad. Plz don't suggest it...)
Well, i think Wisbar Advance Desktop is the only way (correct me if i'm wrong). With WAD you can build your own desktop from scratch.
Yeah, but WAD only works on the Today Screen... i want the start menu bar (top bar) to stay at the bottom in other programs too.
Thanks anyway
I am looking for the same thing. I used Wisbar to customize the Start menu to look like WinXP. I need to get the whole bar with the Start button on the bottom of the screen and can't discover how....
May i suggest a Windows CE 2.11 Palm-Size PC in that case....
(you'll have to put up with a non-connected device with 69Mhz and 8Megs RAM in that case... )

Sorry mate, we're only looking for applications for WM5 and WM6 Professional that can move the start menu to the bottom.
Also, i saw a bootloader, called "Harret" (i think) and it moves the taskbar to the bottom. I dunno how they did that, but i'm sure other people here want to know how. Any other ideas? I'd love to have my phone actually looking like a WINDOWS mobile phone.
your right about haret pulling down the start menu to the bottom. i also want to know how they have done that
#Bump#
Could any kind of Registry Tweak do it?
BUMP..
i'm also interested in this aswell. any ideas, anyone?
Me too.. even after almost a week of searching I still can't find this capability

That is probably because the OP posted this question almost two years ago with no luck, because it is not possible.
Is there a registry key (and if so, what is it) that limits the number of programs shown on the start menu?
I want to be able to add a few more as there is room.
Thanks
PS Using AT&T Tilt with factory ROM.

U can try quickmenu 2.7. Its a lot better then the standart start menu.
7 items on the start menu
Thanks, but I am looking for a regsitry key, etc. I am not interested in running an other application as I have one (Wisbar Advance) that I like.
Hi, I'm interesting too with this thread. Did you ready know how to put some more items on start menu? Is there any possibilities to do this without installing other softwares?
7 items on the start menu
I dont know how to do this. I would think there must be a way, but I cant find it on Google.

LOL. Copy the link that are in your Windows/Start Menu/Pograms folder to your /Windows/Start Menu. There they shall appear
7 items
Yes, but I want to do it the 'right way' for a couple of reasons that dont matter here.
That is, from teh GUI interface, where you select what ites you wan tto appear. When you have 7 selected, when you then select another one (8), you get an error prompt stating only 7 can be added.
This has to be a registry key, I would think.
hello all,
more a wm6 question that anything diamond related so apologies...
at present i can select 7 shortcuts to work from the start bar, if i select anymore it doesnt like it, or if i try to do it manually using file explorer, (windows\start menu) it deletes them.
can i have more shortcuts that the 7 usual? ie from a registry edit point of view?
apologies if it has been asked in the past...
JT
I dont think its possible to have more than 7.

thought everything was possible with a registry edit here & a tweak there?
Right now, the only way to list ALL programs is to tap on your start button, then tap on "all programs" below.
However, I feel more comfortable with the old windows programs list with 3-4 rows of icons. How can I get that back without removing the TF3D2 start menu?
Perhaps someone knows a shortcut to it?
Perhaps a shortcut to the windows settings page would be useful too.
Thanks!

Thanks for yr reply, but I've come across this before.
The thing is, I want to retain HTC's new start menu, at the same time have a shortcut to WM programs list.

Hello, I have problems with program, which I downloaded and installed. This program locks messages. Program is running and everything is allright, but I don´t know how to delete message icon in my main menu. I deleted icon in start menu but in main menu, the icon is still there. Can you give me an advice? Thank you...
Michal if you want help, please tell us what device and operating system you have ...
I ´m sorry...I have Samsung Omnia i900 and operating system is windows mobile 6.1
Can you post a picture? It's difficult to understand from your description, is it a today plugin? And what the program you installed?
Edit: I don't know your device but I read a bit on it http://pocketnow.com/review/samsung-omnia-i900?p=2 maybe you are talking about a widget? In this case there is a tab which pulls out a menu to remove widgets, see first pic.
In main menu, I would like to delete the icon of message,in the right top corner. (Pic 7 on your added link)
I am not talking about widgets. Name of program is Lock Down. I found a lot of informations about this program, but I can´t find any informations about deleting of mobile icons.
Ok, I think I understand after I figured that Samsung 6.1 version is different from Htc . You can't remove icons in main menu unless you remove the program that created the icon in settings. As for this message icon I believe it's part of the operating system and cannot be uninstalled.
I hope it helps
Thank you.In our slovak forum people said, that it is possible, but they can´t talk me how can i do it So I have other question. Is there any option, how to remove the program that created the icon? Or what can I do, if I want to read messages secretly? If I open messages in program Lock down, the program asks me for password. But the program is unnecessary, because everyone can reads my messages in menu :-/ . Can you help me again?
Hi Michal,
To remove ( uninstall ) go to Settings, you'll find Remove, click and find the program you want to remove. If it's not in the list it means it's part of the Rom.
As for the icon you don't want to see :
Sync the device, in Active Sync window on your Pc click Explore, navigate to Start Menu/Programs and find the shortcut, remove it or hide it by moving it to another folder. After Reset your icon has disappeared (sorry I didn't tell you before, I haven't been using this OS for a long time).
I can´t find shortcut... Where can it be?
When you click explore, it opens in My documents I believe, go one folder above, it should be the root, there you find a folder called Windows, open it, find Start Menu, click, find Programs, click and you see all the icons.
can anyone help?
hi i have been looking all over the place for defalt icon pack for windows moble 6.5 i realy need the mesiging txting icon if anyone can help plase pm me!
