problem with active sync

hey guys, i installed the Miri WM 6.5 23017 MANILA 2.5 and when i restarted the phone the colours where scrambled and the phone seems to be very slow (but still with the old wm 6.1) the active sync stoped working and now i can't connect the device to the pc? any ideia how can i solve this? thanks a lot

Sounds like a classic issue where flashing guidelines have not been followed in this thread. If you are using USPL you need to re-use it before every flash. If using HSPL, make sure your using HSPL 1.56 and not HSPL 1.14.
Also check your SPL in bootloader screen. It should state either 1.54.0000 is using USPL or 1.56.Olinex ifr using HSPL

My TYTN 2 (KAISER) came with the original WM6...But I upgraded/flashed it to WM 6.5 and that kinda sucks for me...
How can I revert it back to WM 6????
HELP.
Should I Hard reset it( by pressing several keys+stylus)??
Or should I hardSPL it again and flashing the WM6 Rom back??

First of all this is Android development so this is very offtopic. Second you hopefully can find and download the correct WM version from HTC by entering your S/N. Then I think all you need to do is to hold camera button + reset the device to enter SPL, connect to computer with USB cable and then run the installation (that you downloaded from HTC).

Anyways...is the hard reset(holding camera button...the soft buttons and stylus) the same as Factory restore??...then i wouldnt be needing the file that you mentioned for download??

Reset to factory defaults will not replace the 6.5 rom you have installed, you don't need to HardSPL again, that only needs to be done once.
Your best option would be to get a stock rom from the XDA Wiki pages, My advice would be either get a shipped rom that matches your carrier, or the latest generic HTC shipped rom, both can be found here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs
Note that once you flash a rom a Hard reset does not remove it, only flashing another rom will do that. Also flashing a stock rom is actually one of the best ways of clearing out previous flashes.

How do I install the USB driver for HTC TyTN II, to whom I am the Android 1.5. Before that I was a Windows Mobile 6.5 and am using Microsoft ActiveSync. I would like again to get back to WM 6.5, but can not seem to connect mobile phone and computer.

You can't flash back to Windows Mobile through usb while in Android because of the driver issues. You have to either enter bootloader mode and flash, or you have to do it through your storage card. And before you post back asking me how to do that, use the search. There are instructions all over the place.

There is no *best* ROM. Please read threads and flash based on your needs. I think it's about time this thread be done for.

Looks like you need to downgrade your Hard SPL for WM6 so that it doesn't pause a lot.

I started ROM Update Utility... next..next...then shows my image version (2.03.414.2).. Update To 1.40.OliNex..next.....next....then starts update.. 0% .. and ERROR The Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA Phone....

It's Vital that you READ the guides on XDA for flashing your phone.
All your problems are answered in the forum so you really didn't need to post this. Upgrading your phone from a WM5 to 6.5 is a big leap and Don't expect it to magically fix any issues you may already have with the current version of WM.
You will need to learn how to MTTY if you plan on flashing your phone after a 6.5 rom upgrade because it's not as easy as it used to be.
There is a helpful serach function on the forum I suggest you use it before anyone else wastes their breath.

You should have used Olinex SPL before even thinking about flashing your phone
Thinking about it now... you should have bought the diamond unlocker as it's a better solution.
You have to use the MTTY method before flashing with a 6.5 rom as your memory space can be changed to acommodate more/less modules for the ROM. If you don't use MTTY then your phone will fail.

i thought that wm6.1 is faster than wm6.5 so after hardspl flash my new topaz with wm6.1 rom but it didn't start .after soft flashing and rest just shows startup picture and restart again .so i had to reflash it to wm6.5.
the question is how can i use wm6.1 and???

I think you would need to downgrade your SPL.
So you would need to reinstall SSPL, then just install HSPL 1.83, then the 6.1 ROM. You will probably have "commercial use" issues to reinstall 1.83 so I would send the Olinex team an e-mail first before trying.

I did what you said before.downgarde hard spl to 1.8 ver and then flashed my topaz with wm6.1 cocked and stock but didn't work. in boot session reboot cycling occur.

downgrading spl is not necessary i think, because i have also downgraded 6.5 to 6.1 last week, and my topaz got the latest hspl. last year i downgraded my kaiser to 6.0 and 6.1 with the latest spl.
i think the rom image you acquired is damaged, try re-downloading it

i tested many rom cocked and stock .when i bought this damn topaz it was wm6.5
i think all fu... HTC are slow ,unstable .

I tried the same my self with official ROM from HTC. I didn't have to downgrade SPL because my phone for some reason is unable to be flashed HSPL Olinex ??
Operation run smoothly but after finishing topaz entered a constant reset loop after boot screen

what is the solution or what I should do to pass through this stage?

if you want to upgrade the ROM WM 6.5, previously you had to upgrade HardSPL first
