BT headset / BT stereo headphones - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I was wondering if WM6.1 (the HTC Touch Diamond) allows to connect a BT headset and BT stereo headphones in order to listen to music and answer calls.
I found a product from SE:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/hbh-ds205?cc=us&lc=en
That apparently would allow remote control of your audio player if this is supported. Does WMP mobile or any thrid-party mobile media player allow BT remote control?

Yes, it does. I'm using my JABRA BT320s with no problems whatsoever, and compared to the TOUCH CRUISE, I get far fewer drops. Just be sure to disable Joint Stereo with advanced config, to boost the quality.
And yes, WMP supports bluetooth remote control, and some new players too, like Pocket Music.

So forward/reverse, volume control works through the bt receiver?
Does the JABRA BT320 have a microphone so you can also answer calls?

Bluetooth headset for more than just the phone on BA???

Does anybody know how to config my Blue Angel to play mp3's through my plantronics 510???
Mike Braeuer
Which ROM are you using? Some of them have the capability, some don't... some can have it added, and some can't...
If you provide a little more info then someone will be able to help
Not possible, as far as I know.
The BA can handle it, your headset can't. You can install the A2DP bluetooth profile (needed to stream music via Bluetooth) on your device, but you would still need a (stereo) headset that supports A2DP.
Other than that, I doubt you'd get much pleasure listening to mono music through one ear on a little speaker that's built for cell phone conversations...
If you'd like to listen to music wirelessly, there's a number of bluetooth headsets that support A2DP, all of them stereo and not too expensive.

BT for music

Hi! I have a qtek 9090 and I'm going crazy on this... Is it possible to listen to music on the BT headset (actually a Motorola H350), or is that supposed to be used only to receive calls? Are there any settings I can change, or does it depend on this specific headset? Thanks!
BA works fine with A2DP profile (stere hi fi audio BT profile), but usually not with base firmware. I tried to use it in WM2003 with BT patches and HP headset, but it works really fine with wm5 from helmi with widcomm stack. Now I use it with Plantronics Pulsar 590 - watching movies is quite nice in TCPMP. Anyway you have to remember about few limitations of this technology:
1. BT in BA has very limited range - from backpack to headset sometimes might be too far.
2. While watching movies, remember about short delay (up to 200ms) needed to compress, send and uncompress the sound.
3. in most headsets you have additional buttons for remote control (AVRCP profile), but it works well only in WMP - havent noticed any other software, that works fine with this option, anyway I havent made in-depth testing.
4. Quality is limited by compression algorithm used in A2DP profile, but for most people it is acceptable (I prefer Koss Porta Pro wired headset for music)
It is possible to make your Qtek 9090 play music via Bluetooth, whether you're using WM2003 or WM5, but you can't do it on a mono (one ear) headset like yours. Mono headsets aren't made for listening to music so they don't support the Bluetooth stereo profile.
If you're thinking about getting a stereo headset, by all means go ahead, but consider some of jakubd's remarks; especially the first one. Regarding the third remark: Conduits Pocket Player supports AVRCP as well and is a great music player!
For some info on how to install the Bluetooth stereo profile, see my posts in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258457
So...
...does that mean there is no way to use a BT mono headset in the same way of a wired mono headset, i.e. to listen to anything that goes on on your PPC (music, movies, games, calls... whatever, no matter the quality of the sound)???
As far as I know, there isn't...

I have tryed avery possible BT software to redirect mp3 sound to a mono headset (Motorola H605 with T-Mobile MDAIII, Custom WM5 AKU 3.2) and my conclusion is that it is impossible, until someone makes some kind of hack for mono devices to be emulated as stereo.... as far as i know there is no such hack

bluetooth sound

How can I hear music with bluetooth headset (there is no profile in my motorola T305 of streo bluetooth only headset profile)
I know that with the right patch or registry setting I can hear music or my T305 (or with any other blouetooth headset profile)
THANKS!!!
I assume that your problem is that your headset does not support the BT A2DP profile?
There is a little app called BTmusic that will do this (try googling for it). All sounds will be sent using the headset/handsfree profile. BUT sound quality in that profile is mono and poor - so really not suitable for listening long term to music. I use it to listen to my sat nav instructions and that is OK

Bluetooth: No Stereo

I just got a Camos BHS-600 stereo bluetooth headset for my motorcycle helmet. I successfully paired it with my tilt, but I'm only getting sound out of the left speaker. Both "headset" and "stereo music" are checked in the bluetooth profile. If I hold down the device selection and select "use stereo", it doesn't help. It happens regardless if I use windows media player, core player, or tcmp player. Is there a "fix" to get sound out of both speakers? I have an adapter that allows a 1/8" stereo plug connection to the tilt, and stereo works fine when I use that.
BTW, I'm using the original windows mobile 6.1 that came with the tilt.
I have a tilt with original rom and it sounds so crappy. I tried with the mini usb to 3,5mm stereo and with BCK 08 Bluetooth Headset.
I can listen to music in "stereo" with A2DPToggle
But the left channel sounds louder than the right one
Also the volume is not so loud, and if you set it louder it's very distorted.
Anybody can give me some advice how to improve the sound?
BTW I tried many players (Windows MPlayer, Core, S2Play) but it's all the same.

Sony Ericsson MW600 Headset

Anybody here has tried to use the "Hi-Fi Wireless Headset with FM Radio MW600" with the Ameo?
My Ameo has the (German) HTC WM6.0 stock ROM but I want wo try a WM6.1 ROM. I want to make calls with the MW600 bluetooth headset, voice dialing and audio steaming. And caller-id on WM600 display would be very nice.
bluetooth disabled after pairing
Well, because nobody can (or want) to answer me, I had to test by myself.
The MW600 stereo bluetooth headset is a very nice gadget. With silver and white colors it looks very nice beside the Ameo (with has the same colors). The headset has two parts - a small controller with an oled display, some buttons and connectors and a good in-ear headset. The headset has very short wires but because you only have to connect it with the controller, it should be no problem. If you want another ear-phone you can connect every 3,5mm standard ear-phone.
The controller has buttons for on/off, call, play/pause, forward, backward and a volume slider. Pairing with the Athena was very easy, similar with other bluetooth headsets. The MW600 supports hands free and wireless stereo profile.
Once connected, the controller can pair the Arthena automatically - very nice.
With wireless stereo you can use the MW600 as a stereo ear-phone for music and videos. On CorePlayer you can control pause/play, forward, backward and skip over bluetooth and the controler can show the play time.
On incoming calls you see the phone number (not tested if caller-id/name is working) on the controller display. And you can use voice dial for making calls too.
The MW600 has a built-in RDS radio - very nice because the Athena has no radio.
Well... but there is a big issue.
After Athena and MW600 are paired, the Athena disables bluetooth after some seconds.
I have tried some ROMS like original HTC WM6, irus' AP4 vanilla or AGB 3.0. On HTC WM6 I can't use the call button on the controller too.
On a WM6.1 ROM bluetooth is disabled but not the blue led. I had to disable and enable bluettoh some times to reactivate it.
On AGB 3.0, led and bluetooth state are identical and I can reactivate bluetooth with one simple click. The headset pairs automaticly on enabled bluetooth but after 10 seconds, bluetooth is disabled again.
Well, if I'm fast enough to start CorePlayer, I can use the headset without problems as stero head-phone. If I have a call, I can use the headset without problems too. Very strange.
Now I have deactivated wireless stereo on bluetooth settings and the connection was stable for some hours.
I have a simple Jabra BT2080 bluetooth headset to, only useable for mono hands free connections. But this works great with the Athena, stable connection for more than 8 hours.

2)The only prob is with HTC,I can't pair HTC with MW600 while on movie from laptop/FM/music from SE F305. I tried change many option and tweak but hopeless. Anyone have a solution for my problem?Or MW600 compatible multipoint with SE phones only?
