Anybody here has tried to use the "Hi-Fi Wireless Headset with FM Radio MW600" with the Ameo?
My Ameo has the (German) HTC WM6.0 stock ROM but I want wo try a WM6.1 ROM. I want to make calls with the MW600 bluetooth headset, voice dialing and audio steaming. And caller-id on WM600 display would be very nice.
bluetooth disabled after pairing
Well, because nobody can (or want) to answer me, I had to test by myself.
The MW600 stereo bluetooth headset is a very nice gadget. With silver and white colors it looks very nice beside the Ameo (with has the same colors). The headset has two parts - a small controller with an oled display, some buttons and connectors and a good in-ear headset. The headset has very short wires but because you only have to connect it with the controller, it should be no problem. If you want another ear-phone you can connect every 3,5mm standard ear-phone.
The controller has buttons for on/off, call, play/pause, forward, backward and a volume slider. Pairing with the Athena was very easy, similar with other bluetooth headsets. The MW600 supports hands free and wireless stereo profile.
Once connected, the controller can pair the Arthena automatically - very nice.
With wireless stereo you can use the MW600 as a stereo ear-phone for music and videos. On CorePlayer you can control pause/play, forward, backward and skip over bluetooth and the controler can show the play time.
On incoming calls you see the phone number (not tested if caller-id/name is working) on the controller display. And you can use voice dial for making calls too.
The MW600 has a built-in RDS radio - very nice because the Athena has no radio.
Well... but there is a big issue.
After Athena and MW600 are paired, the Athena disables bluetooth after some seconds.
I have tried some ROMS like original HTC WM6, irus' AP4 vanilla or AGB 3.0. On HTC WM6 I can't use the call button on the controller too.
On a WM6.1 ROM bluetooth is disabled but not the blue led. I had to disable and enable bluettoh some times to reactivate it.
On AGB 3.0, led and bluetooth state are identical and I can reactivate bluetooth with one simple click. The headset pairs automaticly on enabled bluetooth but after 10 seconds, bluetooth is disabled again.
Well, if I'm fast enough to start CorePlayer, I can use the headset without problems as stero head-phone. If I have a call, I can use the headset without problems too. Very strange.
Now I have deactivated wireless stereo on bluetooth settings and the connection was stable for some hours.
I have a simple Jabra BT2080 bluetooth headset to, only useable for mono hands free connections. But this works great with the Athena, stable connection for more than 8 hours.

I able to pair this mw600 with my laptop and 2 phones(HTC Touch Pro2 and Sony Ericsson F305).
1) I can answer a call from SE F305 while on movie from laptop/FM/musci from HTC without any prob. The quality of this device SUPERB!!
2)The only prob is with HTC,I can't pair HTC with MW600 while on movie from laptop/FM/music from SE F305. I tried change many option and tweak but hopeless. Anyone have a solution for my problem?Or MW600 compatible multipoint with SE phones only?

I like to listen to music or the radio (Resco) with my Jawbone or other BT headset.
I also like to occasionally use Voice Speed Dial by tapping on my BT headset and speaking a name to dial.
How does one turn one of those functionalities off or just switch between the two. (? registry setting). When I have the single ear BT headset on and want to have the music on the Kaiser switch to the headset by tapping on the headset - voice speed dial starts instead.
Obviously, the S9 stereo headset can do both - as you pair it show that you can choose both but other single ear BT headsets do not have a option for wireless music.
I have used it in the past with my old HTC Universal - it was a registry setting change - but that setting is not there in the Kaiser. (HKLM/Software/OEM/Voicecommand/launchapenable (changing 1 to 0) made this work).
Any ideas?
Maybe the question should be - how does one turn Voice Speed Dial off?
Sorry I have no answer that really helps but one thing is clear to me is the difference between one-ear BT headsets and stereo (S9 like) bt headset : they don't use the same bluetooth profile.
the one-ear one connects via the Headset profile and the stereo ones connect with the A2DP one (stereo bluetooth).
My 2 cents : Jabra has released a headset made of two parts : this is a stereo a2DBheadset that brings stereo by connecting a separate earphone to the first one. It sure brings headphone and A2DP bluetooth profiles : maybe it can be used with A2DP profile with only one ear linked ?
Hi;
Didn't find too many threads about the neatness of the Kaiser BT with certain devices. Though my main memory gets still eaten up like ther's no tomorrow I played a little bit today during lunch-time.
1.) External speaker/handsfree set:
I bought a blueant supertooth light since we have several phones in the family That's the most convenient way to have a mobile handsfree and no wires and literally NO installation.
Enable BT at the Kaiser, use BT-Audio (attached) and re-route device speaker output to the bluetooth handsfree speaker.
Voila, the TomTom Lady is talking to you load and clear. Eats up some battery but for that you have a car charger - NEAT!
Should work with popular motorola T305 and others as well.
2.) Car with AUX/iPod input:
Get an A2DP bluettooth kit (I have the i-tech clip R35) get a male/male 3.5 mm jack cable (preferable a little longer that you can use the mic), connect to the car. Not only that you can listen to the music stored on the kaiser through your car stereo ... call comes in, take call and listen through your speakersystem OR listen to regular radio or music, call comes in, press aux at your radio and ... talk.
NEAT - Thought I should share this!
doesn't seem to want to work for me. i get a " failed to enable BT audio" window when i try to use it
Could have a better user interface, I agree.
Do you use an external BT speaker/microphone or do you try to use AUX for your car stereo. If you use the car stereo NOTHING is required as long as you have an A2DP bluetooth set with external earphone jack.
With the car kit these are the steps that worked for me:
Enable BT in CommMgr?
Click BTAudioToggle
Click BTAudioOn
I put shortcuts in my menu one could even write a script or macro...
doesnt work for me
Post your config and what you did/do perhaps I can help
same thing as post #2,unzipped to SD, make shortcut, tried shortcut and direct file and both gave that error message
What speaker/headset do you have?
If it is a headset is it A2DP compatible?
jabra bt5020,dont think it's compatible
Hmmm
Bluetooth compliance: Bluetooth version 2.0 specifications
Supported Bluetooth profiles: Bluetooth headset and hands-free profiles
Try the following:
- Soft reset after you disabled bluetooth (to have a clear starting point)
- Enable bluetooth
- Check if it is connected
- Open settings
- Tap and HOLD on your headset
- Set as handsfree
- Set BTAudio ON (don't use the toggle)
- Open TomTom or whatever gives you some voice commands and check.
If it doesn't work ... well it doens't work with your headset ... sorry
If you REALLY want the function buy an itech or so for ~ 26 bucks
Morning All !!
Currently i have the HTC fuze (AT&T) aka Diamond. I just purchase the sony bluetooth headset DR-BT160AS. I have tried everyway possible i can think of to get more sound out of these headphones. It sound like im listening to music threw a bottle next door in MONO. I tryed adjusting the preset ( audio booster) with the help of tweaksdiamond. Nothing but here the knock why is it when i have the audio adapter plug into the phone i can get great sound and adjust the presets, But threw the bluetooth i get mono sound with no adjustments. Its pairs wirless headset, hands free, it work the fucntions of changing the track and adjusting volume and i can recive calls.... but with poor sound.
programs used :
blue audio
tweaksdiamond
Has anyone had this issue using wirless bluetooth stereo headsets w/a2dp enabled.
@LPHAR56 -aka- do you hear me now "HELL NO!"
I have a pair of Sony DR-BT140Q and they work/sound really great every time. They're not the same kind, but maybe yours are defective?
Try pairing it with a laptop or any other device to see if you get the same results
thanks i try to do it with a laptop. if i can see if it just my pair having issues.. just can figure out the issue
I have a Jabra BT3030 headset that I listen to music and answer calls through my diamond during the day whilst at work. When i'm driving i play the music through my car stero by using a 3 in one usb adaptor, but to do this i have to change to a bog standard bluetooth headset that doesn't support the A2DP profile, otherwise no sound through the stero.
Is there any way that I can change bluetooth profiles on the fly, I.E. Holding down a hardware button or a program that changes profiles when headphones are attached?
If this is possible then instead of me spending time changing headsets all the time it would be simply plug n play, making the diamond that extra bit enjoyable to have.

Bump ...
The Jabra BT3030 Rocks!!!

Just wanted to shout that out...
Is it possible to use my Plantronics M175C WIRED 2.5 headset with mute switch with my Tilt? If not what is the best WIRED headset option?
I understand that I'll need some sort of adapter/dongle. What is the BEST product?
I'll need something that also allows me to charge the Tilt when using the wired headset.
I've tried using the HTC Multifunction Audio Adapter for AT&T Tilt:
http://www.tiltdepot.com/htc-multifunction-audio-adapter/11A75A4401.htm
This adapter doesn't seem to work for me. The Tilt mic doesn't turn off! Meaning that the Tilt mic is picking up my voice/sounds regardless of the mute switch on the wired headset. I've tried to work with htc (makers of this adapter) but they aren't helpful and won't tell me what headset works with their adapter or even if it's possible for the Tilt's mic to turn off while using a wired headset.
Finally, please do not recommend a bluetooth headset - I have a Jawbone and love it. It doesn't solve my need to be on the phone for hours a day. I can't have the Jawbone run out of power while on a 3 hour call.
Thanks for your time and ideas.
