upgreading to 2.8.7 last night, go to buy an itech r35 stereo bt headset this morning...... and..... bad sound comes from my earphone when i open wmp and play mp3...... ............which cost me 550 CNY
you're using the a2dp profile?
what exactly do you mean by ugly sound?
i have s35, too. but i haven't tried it with the a2dp yet.
I have the WWE A2DP rom loaded, I have a S38 and I have found that once paired it works but if you turn off the headset and turn it on it does not connect the stereo profile again, you have to go in to the bluetooth device and tap set bluetooth stereo audio to get it to work again.
Have you found this?
yea...same here...i have the itech BlueBAND...and everytime i turn it off, i have to reconnect it manually via the bluetooth settings.
anothing thing is...sometimes my music gets cut for a few seconds and it comes back....this happens when i dont use a sim card (PDA only mode)...anyone else found this?

using the motorola ht820 headphones connect as soon as i switch on the headset, the headphones make a low quality sound then a nice quality sound as the bluetooth streaming is found. no need to re-pair.
i have noticed a loss of sound sometimes, but this seems to coincide with other people near me on the train turning on their phones.
hmm...guess its an Itech thing. Hope it get works out by the final release. I love the earbuds, or we will be looking for the motorola.
I have the same problem (sound being cut) with Anycom BSH-100 stereo headset. To my amazement, I found out that I can cut down these disturbances if I place the phone on my sleeve instead of on the belt. Also, it happens much less when I'm static - as opposed to riding my bicycle (for which I bought the BT headset in the first place). I'd love to find out who's the culprit - whether the headset, the RF in the K-Jam - or the software (in which case there's hope for an improvement).

where did you download the profile for 838/9100?
my device can't work with s35, so my s35 has to stay in a side.
Does anyone else thinks that BT headset sound is a bit tiny? There is no low frequencies present that makes sound a bit harsh. I am comparing it with HTC Excalibur and Trinity. Is there a way to adjust this parameter via registry?
Yeah i thought this....Ive been using my bluetooth stereo headset and ive also tried the wired headset.
Im sure this was the same on the tinity though wasnt it when it was first released.
Stereo headset works fine for me with plenty of Bass. It's a regular BT headset that I am talking about. Both Jabra JX 10 and Nokia BH 900.
i have jx10 and everything was great with regular phone conversations, even the voice button works.
i have not try the stereo bt headsets so no comment on the music side.

when you say stereo headset...do you mean the bundled mini USB headset included with the Kaiser?
Thanks
no i mean stereo Bluetooth headsets. my jabra jx10 is only mono (one side), some BT has 2 sides (L&R) stereo for musics.
Sorry yeah i misread the first post .
I actually thought though with the standard bundled USB headset the sound was a little tinny.
with my stereo DS970 (se) headset the sound is fine.....I was talking about the standard USB headset.
sorry guys misread the first post.
anyone have registry keys that can be tweaked to make BT mono sounds better?
Guys, this is the first HTC device with this kind of problem! It really drives me crazy. Am I only one who annoyed by this?
I'm having the same problem with tiny BT sound over A2DP. I'm using an i.Tech S.38 which works perfectly apart from the VERY low volume (volume sliders in actual programs and volume control on S.38 are set to full.). When I pair the S.38 with my laptop the volume is much higher.

Really unpleasant feature.
Hi All,
I bought HTC Tytn II recently... It's rock.....
But i am very disappointed with the earphone quality of HTC... No Bass at all.... I am not saying mp3 playing quality is bad... I tried my motorola BT stereo headset and it gave me fantastic output with heavy bass..... So the quality of my HTC earphone is bad...
I found several earphones on HTC website.... can you please help me to find out an excellent HTC earphone which can give full Bassy effects.... or any other brand which haves mini usb port...... Dont want converters please.......
Thanks.

Why not? You are unlikely to find a decent pair of USB earphones IMHO.
I'd get a small adapter and buy some sure earphones for the best possible sound.
don't mean to hijack the thread but can anybody recommend a good bluetooth stereo headset? i want one that will be good with music and also allow me to make calls.
I am particularly looking for an in ear type earphone or a unit that allows me to use my own ear buds.
I've got the i-Tech Clip Radio (http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=145553). Works well with the kaiser, got play/pause, next/prev, volume, and call buttons, bulit in FM radio, and allows you to plug your own earphones in as it has a 3.5 jack.
How is this unit for bass?
Also it looks just like the htc S100, did HTC rebrand it?
I listen to alot of dance music, and with Sony's EX-71s it does me fine!
Yeh, the S100 is HTC's rebranded version of the non FM radio version!
I also have the iTech clip (excellent unit with medium audio quality) as it can handle calls and lets you use any 3.5mm jack units you have but you have loads of cables about (use my B&O earbuds on that).
For genaral use and if I want to anser a call I use the Promate PM-2006 BT stereo headset as it is a halfway sized headphone with good audio quality and in call holding.
But for sheer audio enjoyment, I use my Creative CB2530, absolute bliss and can put most Hi-Fi's to shame.
SOZ, probably not what the thread starter asked for but WHO is gonna produce a GOOD set of headphones terminated in a mini usb? You will need the converter or BT (no converter at all!)
Every BT unit I have works seamlessly, no clicks, no splutters, no bad audio with my 'out of the box' non-carrier HTC TyTnII.
Damn, its either the beer or I should have been a salesman! Smiles.
There aren't any "best" headphones without using an adapter. If you want the best you'll need to spend you're looking at the Shure SE530 or go custom which is around $1000. It all depends on your budget.
ive got the Shure e4c's connected through an adapter and i can say you can't get better sound.. its so crystal clear, it sounds better than live people in front of you talking
ok, I've something else to add.....well asK
Is there any bluetooth stereo heaphones (with very good sound quality but aren't humongous so as to make me look like a Martian ) that can pair with two devices at once?
For example, I have two phones which support A2DP and I use one as my music phone (Nokia N93i) but also use the TYTN 2 as my business phone. What I want is to be listening to my Nokia N93i through the earphones, and If my TYTN 2 rings, the music pauses so I can speak to the caller on the TYTN 2 then revert back to listening to music back on the N93i.....
.....is this even possible?

Well yes to the pairing to two sperate devices, and no to the 'very good sound quality but aren't humongous'. The Promate PM-2006 headset is a 'medium' sized' 'medium to good quality' folding headset with mike. Pair it to both units then disable the function you don't want it to do on whichever phone (under BT settings). It will halt audio and answer the call from the other unit. These headphones were primarily developed to use with a BT mp3 players with capability to connect to your mobile phone but WM phones do both!

Look at the Jabra BT8010. They're a little large, but have the advantage of using it in mono or stereo mode, as well as connecting to 2 devices simultaneously.
Incidentally, Seidio makes earphones that end in the proprietary htc mini-usb format. Haven't tested them out, but they're the only other ones i know of that don't need a converter.
Another vote for iTech Clip Radio. Works awesome with my Ultimate Ears Super fi 5 Extended Bass buds.
I bought Kyocera from here: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204239053&loc=111&pageFormat=20&rs=1&#cReviews
The best headphones I ever bought and have the most functionality. The only problem that some people might have is the look and size of the headphones. I have not charged the headphones for a month now and still running on standby.

has anyone tried any Sony bluetooth stereo headset?

I think it might be possible using the Sony Erickson BT Earphone Stereo set. Check FleaBay... They got them cheaper than anywhere else. ( BT phone would have to be close to you, just disable the bluetooth on N93i, however The Sony Er unit has a 3.5 jack that can be plugged into the N93i, just marry the TytnII to the bluetooth)
If you marry to phones BT to the headset, and if you get a call from one while listening to music from the other, you will hear both the caller voice and the music at the same time. Jabra is one headset that I know of that can accept two devices, however when tried, I heard the device playing music however the music volume was very low while I talked on the phone. Not a great setup but might do the trick.
I have a Jabra BT3030 headset that I listen to music and answer calls through my diamond during the day whilst at work. When i'm driving i play the music through my car stero by using a 3 in one usb adaptor, but to do this i have to change to a bog standard bluetooth headset that doesn't support the A2DP profile, otherwise no sound through the stero.
Is there any way that I can change bluetooth profiles on the fly, I.E. Holding down a hardware button or a program that changes profiles when headphones are attached?
If this is possible then instead of me spending time changing headsets all the time it would be simply plug n play, making the diamond that extra bit enjoyable to have.

Just wanted to shout that out...
Hi, i have spent some time searching now and since i couldn't find this anywhere i decided to post here, hope someone can help me.
Recently, i bought the official sony playstation 3 bluetooth headset (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Accessories/SCPH-98095) and i have connected it to my xperia x1 through bluetooth (running with itje's touch-it xperience v13.2), the problem is, it only outputs sound for the voice calls, i can't listen to music on it or the normal phone sounds. I know it would be mono sound and not high quality, but i would like to listen to the sound anyway sometimes because its better then leaving it silent.
i have tried in the bluetooth configuration window, clicking in advanced, editing the wireless device profile, thre it was marked hands-free, i clicked refresh and headset appeared, i marked it, then the headset disconnects. when i reconnect it, it auto demarks headset, or it doesnt connect.
I have looked around to see if it was the bluetooth headset problem, but i have not seen anyone else complaining about this or even mentioning it can't play the phone sounds (just some complains about the ps3 sounds not outputing but thats the ps3 fault), and i have also searched to see if it is x1s fault but haven't managed to find an answer as well, so if anyone can plz help i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
thats pretty much because its no BUG.
what u want is a a2dp headset. something tells me that the ps3 headset doesn has this feature. normal headset just route voice calls while a2dp headset route everything.
actually, i didnt use the word bug because i though that might be the case
it has the headset and handsfree profile, not a2dp, but what i wasnt sure if it really needed to have de a2dp profile to output normal sounds, from what i've read it seems it is needed to output stereo high quality sounds, but just sounds with low quality would work for me, thats why im asking, i though the headset profile would be enough for that.
so if i get your message right, unless it has specifically the a2dp profile, there is no other way of making the sound output on the headset, low or high quality?
now i know there might be a way to make it work.
i was listening to some music today using the music player that comes with touchflo 3d, then i pressed the talk button of my bluetooth headset to issue a voice command (with the microsoft voice command program), then the music started playing in my headset while it was waiting for the voice command, once it got the command the music went back to the phone.
Does anyone know any way to make my headset keep playing the sounds, or could at least explain what happens when i press the talk button so i have an idea of where to look to see if find a way?
no one can help me with this? not any tip or a way to select a different output for audio or anything like that?
Also an issue with Audio Gateway
I have tested this issue on two seperate headsets, and so far can get the Xperia to work ONLY as hands free. Seperate phones sperate headsets. The other phone pushed audio thru to the headset whereas the X1 only routes calls.
I also cant find much of this on XDA or anywhere else?
Help?
Regards
i used an ad2p software downloaded from here when i had this issue with my lg ks20. But i havent the gut or im just lazy to try this app on the x1. Maybe u should give that ad2p software a try.
