Please HELP. SPL 1.09 and stuck

hi guys,
i was excited about the new Radio upgrade, so i tried to flash it. i got an error, because my SPL is 2.05. so i tried to unlock the phone using jerpelea's guide, flash to 1.09 -->success, then WWE (1.10) but an error occured saying invalid vendor ID during WWE flash. now i have SPL 1.09 on my phone and my phone is stuck on the 2nd boot screen of jerpelea's WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. my phone is fully unlocked using jerpelea's unlock guide, that's how i got to install SPL 1.09 successfully. how can i recover my phone? please help.
Update 1: i tried to flash back the original dopod 595 WM5 ROM. i mixed the RUU updater from the latest official ROM with the nbh from dopod WM5 ROM. the flashing works. when it's 100%, the phone reboots and, i got back to the same problem. stuck at 2nd/3rd boot screen. i now have IPL-0.90 and SPL 1.09 on my phone. Please help me to recover my phone. i've tried to hard SPL shown in the wiki guide, doesnt work. says invalid vendor ID crap. i really dont know what to do now.
Update 2: when the device boots, it stucks on the 2nd/3rd boot screen and if the USB cable is attached, for a brief moment, windows can detect the phone and i can even browse the content of the phone from my PC. but after that, the device disconnects itself and just remain stuck at the 2nd/3rd boot screen. the device appears to be totally freezed/hang. even the LED charging indicator will not turn off when i unplug the device from computer
i believe what i need to do now is to make a nbh image that is signed to i dont get any corrupted image message when trying to flash. i used HTC ROM editor to mix and match the SPL and IPL file so that i can downgrade the SPL to 2.05 and upgrade it again later. but i dont know how to sign nbh files.

If i were you I'd use this one =)

I think I know what do you mean. My device was in very same state like yours few mnonths ago.
Try to run mtty and the command "info 2" without quotes.
Do not forget to disable USB on activesync settings before running mtty.
You will get an answer which includes the CID of your device.
If not (this was my case), you have to send it to the repair center probably.
My device CID was Qtek_A07 (RUS) and I have tried to instal the first official WWE 1.34 ROM update (combined from SPL.nbh and ROM.nbh) and it replaced only the SPL, and the ROM update crashed.
There was not way out so I sent it to the repair center.
The WWE images are expecting the device with CID Qtek_Z12.

why did you format ?
try to reflash 1.09 spl
and after this wwe one of 1.34 roms to get 1.10 spl

2) OS won't load, so can't use any of the ActiveSync-based methods for downgrading to an older version, such as 1.04.
3) CID appears to be corrupted, as per the earlier output pasted.

I think that comment was really unnecessary!
As a n00b I know how hard it is to understand what’s happening. I did read the wiki’s and still I didn’t get HOW TO upgrade a ROM until I found a great post in FutureShock’s thread

On the Mteor start the explorer and in the root directory (press UP once) find SSPL.EXE en start it.
If the Mteor won't start the program and there is an error like "insufficient trustlevel".
You need to remove the application lock on your Mteor.
Run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe on your PC with Activesync working and then install SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab on the Mteor.
You will find those two in the .rar in ".\opt Software\Unlock Tools"
Then redo from the start.
Then, Have fun !! (Futureshock & DarkDirk)
P.S. works on a BREE100 with IPL-0.90 and SPL-2.05.

with all the respect what you do for this community, isn't taht you who advice us to update the SPL before trying your images?
in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384398 you should probably higlight that the update should be done only on WWE devices.

i did try to read as much as i could but apparently i didnt come across that. when i flashed to SPL 1.09, the device booted up just fine. it is when i try to update to WWE 1.10, the update process failed and bricked my phone. for your information, i was following the exact steps described by you in your unlocking/SSPL guide. you mentioned upgrade to SPL 1.09, then WWE 1.10. this is exactly what i did. i dont know what went wrong. im sure if im as knowlegable as you are, i wouldnt have screwed up my phone. my bad.
just to be fair, your method did work when i updated my dopod 595 (WWE device) to your WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. but i never upgraded my SPL to 1.10. i only thought of upgrading SPL when you posted the new radio release and that's where i screwed up.
anyway, what is important here is, is my phone unrecoverable? im reading the links you posted as i type, and i'll give the methods. maybe based on your experience, you could suggest some ways to do it. thanks.

type info2
if it sais A07 then just flash rusian 1.34 rom and enerithing will be fine
application unlock it
run sspl 77.7
flash wm6.1
if it says enithing else you need to locate your original rom
till now i found that it sais a07 in most cases

it depends on the info displayed on terraterm
for A07 you can use the russian rom to recover

this is what i got from terraterm. same as mtty.

i did flashed back to my original ROM after the first stuck in WM screen incident. and amazingly the flashing process works after several mix and match. after the original (WM5) ROM completed flashing, my IPL is downgraded back to 0.9 and SPL is still 1.09, and im still stuck at the WM logo screen (this time WM5 logo).

terraterm is a tool like mtty
what is your orignal rom??
just try to flash over sdcard... (look in wiki4more infos about that)

i tried SD card flashing too yesterday. it says not allowed. i have already flashed over the original dopod 595 ROM and my phone is now WM5. the flashing is 100% successful, but it is still stuck at the second boot WM screen.
i think im in a really screw up position now. i have SPL 1.09 and IPL 0.9. i dont know what is corrupted now. is it the CID? SPL?

cid you can check with mtty and info 2...
if that so... just do what i have wroted in pm...
you could also just try the old htc rom (w. SPL 2.05)

both mtty and terraterm give me the same msg when i type info 2. it says time out (refer above for exact error message).
the original dopod 595 rom has SPL2.05. and it was successfully flashed into the phone. when the phone reboots, it is still stuck at 2nd boot screen (WM logo). i checked, the SPL is still 1.09, but IPL has been downgraded to 0.9.

kaiser not starting

ok, some urgent help needed, yesterday ok, today will not start. only get as far as, 'smart mobility' R1.27.12.32 G22.45.88.07H D 1.56.00.00
phone is standard WM6 HTC. i have the 6.1 image for upgrading and tried to load using SD card, i get past tri colour screen, then loading, then checking then 'not allowed' and back to tri colour. it says KAIS130, SPL-1.93.000 CPLD-8. what?next
any help appreciated guys......

To Flash a ROM you'll most likley need Hard SPL
Follow the "Getting Started" Link in my Sig.
If you cannot get WM to boot, you'll need to re-flash your orginal carriers ROM.

You shouldn't be using cmonex's SD method the first time round. It is for upgrading only.
I have downloaded the package from point 2 (you should follow the USB method in post 3, NOT the SD set) and have upload it onto my site, please let me know when you are done with it.

ok, thanks DaveShaw, i have downloaded those files. the method in step 2 involves copying the jump progs to the device memory, which i do not have access to as it will not start. can i just copy to the sd card? thats why i was trying to flash a standard rom. i need a solution that will work just from the card. will the RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship.rar load using what i have on my phone now? i assume that the spl gets replaced when i upgrade to 6.1 with htc ruu. i can try anything as i have nothing to lose now (do i?)

Enter your bootloader and try flashing any ROM supplied by your carrier to get into Windows Mobile.
What screen do you get stuck on? If it is the tri color screen check out the link in my signature.

Hi again, i am not actually 'stuck' on the screen as i can get into the loader, its just that i get the message saying that the (newer) rom will not load. i am extending my (c)rapidshare as free will not let me down load the 'standard' rom, then i will try that (just had to re-initialise my paypal and the passwords are on eWallet the phone, so ive reloaded the eWallet on my pc and ....so it goes on zzzzzzzzzz its funny how these things spiral down - not).
is there any way to update the spl only from the sd card?

Hi, no, it will not boot to windows. just been reading around while 'RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship' is downloading. ive got connected with mtty and get cmd>. when i type boot i get 'Command Error !!!' i assume thats not good, i think rom is corrupted. tried standard HTC 6.1 RUU_Kaiser_HTC_FIN_3.29.414.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.17.56_Ship version 3.14.4.1 again on USB and after phone says 1% also message saying that it will not load error 294: invalid vendor id

Yeah, you need the ROM your carrier supplied.
Where is the Phone from?
Does a Hard Reset help?

i can reload all from sprite backup (only from yesterday) to get me going again
but..... next will try to replace spl and then load 6.1. not sure why HTC standard would not let me update, i thought the ruu would update any htc phone

That's right, flash the HardSPL 3.29 first (SIM unlock is optional, CID unlock isn't needed - Hard SPL takes care of that - but it comes as part of the SIM unlock) then flash a WM6.1 ROM.

Only if it's from the same region the RUU was intended for eg the European TyTN II's won't accept the latest Hong Kong WWE ROM by default because of this so as already suggested hardSPL works around this. My WM 6.0 UK original TyTN II upgraded to WM 6.1 OK but that was using the HTC UK provided ROM update. That updated everything required including the SPL and Radio to the required HTC versions. I'm back on the original WM 6.0 version though due to reliability issues with 6.1 and poor GPS performance.

I've tried to download the ROM, but HTC tell me this "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device".
Maybe my device s/n number is not correct.

ON customization after first boot if scaned for wifi networks and poped up a message about available networks

It seems HardSPL 1.40oli and this 2.32 rom don't work very well.Very sluggish and phone can't turn ON even after 2 Hard resets.
What is your experience???

I installed the ROM upgrade from HTC, it ****ed up my device real bad: phone module not working, device boot up in aprox 1 min, after 3 mins Touch Flo not started, it restarts by itself.
I did hard reset and nothing happens.
I,m reinstalling jademan superrom!
I hope that works!

Could anyone check, if the gps-support has been improved?

Exactly same symptoms. I went to Stock SPL 1.40 and reflashing the new rom now. Hope it works better
update : Jade is fine now. New SPL is 2.32.0000 . More testing to be done.
Question : Can HardSPL 1.40.oli be flashed over new 2.32.0000 ?

It is annoying that hardspl doesnt work with this upgrade of jade.. can't built a rom now with the new oem. It's all newer than the iolite versions, but still doesnt include Footprint

Any changes in Manila? New tabs? Calendar? Stocks? Changes in the contacts?

What is the Radio version in this new ROM?
I have just applied the version from here and if this contains the old Radio then I can hold off for now until hopefully a compliant Hard-SPL is made, I can live without Opera being perfect.

I'm a new owner of a Jade since april 11. I'm french so excuse me for my english ^^'
I installed this new rom, and i get exactly the same problems as Lexx2009 and Lagoskon. I tryed to install the stock 1.40 rom but it doesnt work. I can synchronize the phone but i cannot use customRUU or hard spl anymore, it says the Jade isn't plugged with the usb cable ..
Please can anyone tell me what i have to do to get a rom whith works please

Install a different rom from this forum-> Shut down your jade, unplug it. Hold down "volume down button" and ""power on button" to get in to boot mode. now start to flash another rom.
when finished you can install stock spl and then install this new rom

Stupid (or not so stupid) question,
If we flash original SPL to instal this ROM, and SPL is upgraded by this ROM to 2.32,.... and HardSPL does not work with this new 2.23 SPL,.....
THEN, IT SEEMS THAT FOLLOWING THESE STEPS WILL ONLY MAKE US SLAVES OF THIS NEW & OFFICIAL HTC ROM!!!! i.e. No possibility of other ROMs flashing until new HardSPL is developed,...
Please, somebody to confirm this statement?

that's right.. but i think it's in one of the drivers. using the old drivers and the new oem/sys makes it possible to run it with the current hardspl.
radio in this rom 0.41.30.12
no changes in manilla tabs, don't know what changed but it's newer

Cannot seem to flash blackstone??

Hey all,
I currently have the original ROM Version: 1.19.61.1 WWE and i am trying to update the SPL to a HSPL so that i can use cooked ROMs, can someone tell me why this isnt working? I used the HSPL from the sticky thread on this forum yet it hasn't changed anything......do I have to hard reset my blackstone after doing this? I am getting the error [240]:FILE OPEN telling me to update utility.

What type of operation system do you have? Is it vista?

Should make it easier as you don't need to update vista drivers as you're using XP.
Have you followed cRaCKwHoRe's guide to get HSPL or USPL onto your device. Follow link to his guide in my signature.
ERROR [240] - When this error message appears, check whether the downloaded image is placed in the directory of RUU. If, for some unknown reason, you find that the ROM image is not located in the RUU folder, you have to download the RUU and retry again. Check that the contents of the folder is a CustomRUU.exe file and an .nbh file. If you put the os-new.nb file in by mistake instead of the .nbh, this is the error that shows up.

just downloaded again and now im sorted ive got SPL-1.56 OliNex coming up in bootloader mode however my screen is all wierd colours which im hoping will fix once i flash a new ROM, which 6.5 ROM would you suggest? And also do the radio version have match?

well browse the threads of some roms n u can know the best rom for u..
ya once u fash a 6.5 rom all screen problems will be sorted out.
for radio version, they usually are not included on cooked roms

Ok thanks! Its just im looking at downloading dutty's rom however this has a radio code on it does this matter do you think?

[Q] Flashing TD2 (Topaz) stays at 0% help please!!!

I really need some help please!!
I think I have read and searched and tried steps by step all the posts and threads on this, none of them work for me,
Ive flashed my HD2 & TD2 with HSPL, radios and roms many times in the past. I have a stock rom on my TD2, (havent flashed a cooked one yet but did on my HD2 and worked great),
the problem is when I try flash anything, (HSPL,Radio's and Roms)
I connect with WMDC on windows ultimate 64x and go through all the steps, the phone disconnects from WMDC when loading the tri-color screen, and installs the HTC sync drivers fine, and then (my problem) it hangs on 0%. this happens regardless of what I'm flashing after a while brings up the communication errors 208 & 260. this doesnt have any effect on the software HSPL or radio as a soft reset returns back to the homescreen just fine. I am running HSPL 1.8.3. , radio 4.49.25.17 and a shiped stock wm 6.5.
This is what Ive tried so far:
I have used 3 different micro USB cables,
updated my .net fx to 4.1
I have tried different Ruu's such as custom Ruu, Ruu from topaz, Ruu, supplied with Hspl, flashes center and KaiserCustomRUU.exe and a few others.
Ive tried the white screen fix many times. including the SDA unlocker and stuff.
I ve tried manual and automatic.
tried entering the the Tri-color screen manually and via the Ruu.
I tried different computers and different operating systems (W7ultimate and XP 32Bit and 64Bit)
tried active sync WMDC 6.0 and 6.1
Ive removed the SD card and sim and have tried flight mode
Restarted pc's mobile any reinstalled WMDC many times.
Ive tried renaming to the HSPL, radio and Rom to TOPAIMG.nbh , put 1 by 1 on formated fat32 SD card, run from Tri-color menu. all of them just hang on
loading....
Have tried mixing and matching Ruu's with HSPL's, Roms And radios and everything else i can think of, after 18 hours of this I am fed up and decided i need some help

i have now download the official RUU_Topaz_S2_HTC_WWE-AFK_2.53.421.3_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.44etc.25.35_4.49.25.91_Ship.exe Rom
and it worked with no problems.
it updated my HSPL from 1.83 to 2.51 and radio version to 4.49.25.91 which was exactly what i was going for.
The problem now is that i still cant change my HSPL, RADIO or flash a custom Rom which is what I need. it hangs on 0% and now gives me a 262 error which states that:
ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process. If this happens, you can just soft reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue. At this stage the rom on the device is incomplete and it will not boot back up into Windows. You will need to place it into the bootloader to continue.
which is not true as if a reboot it doesn't continue the update and just returns to the home screen as normal
help?

Yes thanx i have. it was the first think i tried after i flashed the official HSPL, still doesnt work

Does your device is CID/SIM Locked? If yes you may have to try this first:
Diamond 2 CID/Security/SIM Unlocker. And then HSPL.

just got it right now, didnt have internet so i coudnt make use of the automatic flash with Topaz-HardSPL_V5_09R6.
this error occured when using the manual. i got internet now and used the automatic flash and it worked like a charm.

Brother explain more, how you solved your problem... I am also facing problem my room update also stuck at 0%..... what do you mean by "get internet"? and why you need it? and on which you get it mobile or pc?.......
