Is there a program to "wake up" my Kaiser - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I've tried finding an answer to this question in the FAQ and Wiki, but without success.
Do any of you know of a simple program that, when run, will awaken my Kaiser out of sleep mode? In other words, a program that will turn on the backlight when executed?
The program really doesn't have to do anything. I just need it to come out of sleep mode for a short, automated task that I need to run during the night while I'm asleep.
Thank you,
Peter

Yeah, there's an actual button to do it, it's on the right side near the top. I'm pretty sure you've used it since you know how to turn the screen in the first place. Wow...

It's called the Power Button ...

which he can somehow teach himself to press while he's asleep??
he's looking for a program that automatically does what the power button does at a specific time, I have not heard of one but then again I've never looked for one.

Try using Schaps Advanced Config tool and set Time to wake up to 90sec(or install SPB Time and check "Wake up fix"). it seems that OS just dont get enough time to power up to wake up
It should work.

Ptravel alarm works fine to me

How Do I Shut Down My Tilt???

i was writing up some .ink for my tilt and i pretty much remapped everything all the buttons. and now i have remapped the power button to activate a program pxshut to shut down my device. but every time i would to use that to shut down it would just go into hibernate, it wouldnt turn off the device.
now i am worried that my tilt has been on for weeks, but i have been soft resetting it consistently though
can anyone help my find the **** down ink or a program that can actually shut down my device?
Take out the battery
Lol! Great answer. Removing the battery will most certainly turn off yer device. On the other hand, here is a link for you on how to reassign the buttons Write here if you need more help, Chicken.

Fox.
hey thanks for the help guys, i was actually trying to avoid the battery removal.
i already know how to reassign buttons, i am trying to find out how do you restore a shut down button to shut down your device.
you tried press&hold of the power button, until the shutdown dialog is displayed?
i think pdas cannot be shutdown completely.
there always be a little energy from backup battery (am i right?)
so when you turn your pda off, you just hybernate it.
long press power (suspend) button
No, firstbuddha is right, to actually turn off your Tilt all you need to do is hold down the standby button, and ok the dialogue that pops up. The device is properly shut down then, not just suspended. It'll reboot the next time you press the button.
actually that wont work, because like i said in my first post i reporgrammed the long and shortt power button to do something else. and now there is no way to shut down the tilt.
so i was wondering can anyone direct me to the ""shutdown.ink" or the thing that i can program my button to shut down the tilt, or at least start up the shut down dialoge
use 3rd party software.
hold on, i'll find you something

PowerOff Shortcut
Hi dude
You don't need any app, try to make this shortcut (.lnk):
31#"\Windows\PowerOffWarning.exe" /ExitWindowsEX (EWX_SHUTDOWN, NULL)
than rename it how you want and put it wherever!
Ciao

Won't power down/sleep

First, I have searched, but did not find anything. I am running NotATreoFan's Beta 1 of his first ROM. It has been running very well and I really don't plan to change anytime soon. However, I noticed today that it won't power down/sleep on its own (I normally press the power button before putting it in my pocket). It is set for a one minute power down.
Apps installed:
Total Commander
TomTom 6
Syware Visual CE
TodayAgenda
TaskManager
Kaiser OpenGL Drivers
GPS Test
Flash Player
Batti
Office 6.1 including OneNote
Advanced Configuration
GSPlayer
.NET 3.5
Isilo
HomeScreenPlus
PPCProfilesPro
claunch
Icontact
DxC Iphone Dialer
LVM Second Clock
Opera Mini
Wow, I didn't realize how much I have installed. Before I start yanking, any thoughts about which one might be causing trouble? I doubt it is the ROM.
Thanks!
What happens when you press the power button to try to make it sleep?
I had a problem with a new kaiser that i got where when i tried to put it to sleep using the power button it would jus turn itself back on. If I let it goto sleep on its own it worked fine.

Power button works fine, which is why I haven't noticed it before. I usually manually power it off, but today I left it sitting and it was on, never turning off.

Resolved. It appears to be a home screen clock plugin that I was using.

Standby with Hard Button Other than Power Button?

I have searched, but I have been unable to find a solution to my problem.
During my searches, I have discovered that many people, like myself, often struggle finding and pressing the power button to turn on and off the screen/phone.
I current use S2U2, which is a great piece of software, and even better since it is free. I use S2U2 to wake my phone up. I have set my settings to not lock the phone when device is off so to unlock/wake my phone I simply press any of the hardware buttons, and I see the S2U2 screen.
However, turning the screen off/putting it in standby is more of a hassle since I have to try and track down the tiny power button. I have downloaded and tried several free remapping programs but none of them allow me to remap a hardware button to standby/lock the phone. Generally, they only allow me to remap a hardware button to a program or setting other than standby/lock.
I would like to know if there was a way to remap a button to put the phone in standby.
I use BlackMe , more info on the website...
You could also try putting some "puffy" paint on the power button. It's that 3D paint people put on shirts etc. that bulges up when it dries. It makes a nice little bead to hit rather than trying to press the little power button.

Does this program put the Tilt into SLEEP/STANDBY or just blank the screen. The author does not make this clear.
it just blanks the screen. I will keep up with this thread though, I have always wanted my PTT button to be my power button.....
yeah, me too. I am surprised that there isn't a solution yet....
I've always hated the hard to find power button as well. The PTT button is so easy to find and press, yet I've never, ever, not once accidentally pressed it. Why can't the power button be as raised up as the PTT one? I've seriously considered taking my phone apart and machining a replacement power button that stuck out farther. I'd probably make it out of aluminum to make it look cool, too.
But I'd be plenty happy in the mean time with remapping my PTT button to be a power button...
Yeah, I don't even need all the power button powers... I know the power button is used to do other things other than turn the screen on and off... I just want to use another button to turn the screen on and off and suspend the phone...
SPB Mobile Shell allows you to toggle the screen, suspend and many other options. I don't know if I would purchase the program just for it's button enhancing ability though.
Correction SPB Pocket Plus not SPB Mobile Shell
You could also check out AE Software at http://ae.inc.ru/
I dont know if this is kind of what you guys want, but heres my 2 cents. Go here to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431328&page=4 and download Dave Shaw's awesome remake of psShutXP in post #34 (its the newest version)
Install to your MAIN DEVICE cuz thats where these shortcuts point to, then pick one of the 2 shortcuts I provided and just drop them in your main \Windows folder.
Hold down PTT button
Long_PTT
Quick push of PTT button
Short_PTT
Now, you can either just quickly push the PTT button or hold it down (depending on which shortcut you chose) and xdaShutdown will pop up giving you the option to RESTART,SLEEP/SCREEN OFF, or COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN your phone.
So essentially now, the PTT is your new power button. To put in standby mode just 2 button pushes is required. 1 push on the PTT button, then another tap on the Sleep button.
But if your really lazy and just want to be able to push PTT button once to put it in Standby/Sleep mode, then all you would do is find out the command to put the phone in standby mode (sorry I dont know it), then open notepad on your desktop, then type the command something like, this is ONLY AN EXAMPLE (42#"\Program Files\xdaShutdown\xdaShutdown.exe"), then save the file as either Short_PTT.lnk or Long_PTT.lnk and then drop the file into your \Windows folder.
But what about one push on the PTT button to wake it up out of standby? (without setting it so that all buttons wake it...)
Wow, I am an idiot. Haha. I never thought about the "wake up" part. Cuz once in Standby, the PTT button would then be non responsive so it then wouldnt work for waking the device. That is a tuff one, I have no idea how to specify what button(s) are locked/unlocked when in standby.
No way, you're not an idiot! I (and others I'm sure) totally appreciate your input. I just happened to have thought this over many, many times. I very well may have to go buy a bottle of that "puffy" paint stuff... sure would beat a full disassembly of the device to make a new, pronounced button!
I'm hoping I haven't misread the problem here, but if it is what I think it is, then you can do it with just S2U2.
I have my TyTnII set up as follows:
No button lock
S2U2 set to lock when backlight turns off
Backlight to turn off in 1 minute
In Setting/Buttons, assign "Button 4 (hold)" to S2U2
So I use it in a similar manner to the original poster. I "wake" it with a press of any hardware button (and obviously unlock it with a slide on the screen)
I lock/stand-by it by pressing and holding the OK button (it goes into standby after 1 min of being locked)
Hope that makes sense and is what you are after.
(nb am not 100% sure that the ability to set an app to run on the holding of a button is standard - I might only have that functionality dues to having SPB PocketPlus installed - am sure someone will let me know!)
Yes! this is what I was going for... I didn't even think about using your solution. Thanks!!!!
Does anyone have a problem with the hardware buttons not waking the phone up? I have my key lock setting not to lock buttons, but most of the time, my phone does not wake up when I press any of the hard keys. However, when I use the jog dial, the phone will wake up, but none of the other buttons will work.

Installed TF3d and standby .cab, still can't get power right

Hey guys, I just flashed the latest -G- ROM and then put tf3d on it. I made sure to install the touch power and standby .cab's as well. My after about one or two minutes being idle keeps turning the screen on and off and there is no way to make the problem stop other than doing a soft reset with the stylus. Is there a way to fix this problem?
Also I tryed plyaing with touch power but I don't seem to fully understand this program. I hit the power button and it shuts down tf3d as expected but when I hit reload tf3d 90% of the time nothing happens. Is there a way to jus make the power button work as it did before (when u lightly pressed the power button the screen turned off, long press it shut down the phone).
Thank you guys for your help, I searched and I'm sorry if this question has already been answered before.
If you actually read the included README then you would have seen this

readings hard, i from ky it's crazy how many NEW THREADS get started to ask A PERSONAL QUESTION instead of asking in the THREAD WHERE YOU GOT THE ROM!!!
no actually he asked in that thread and he also made this thread
Im sorry for the not reading the read me file, in my standby cab zip package there wasnt a read me and neither was there one for the touch power package. I tried following your advice but my kaiser doesn't seem to want to go to sleep automatically even when I have adjusted the settings to do so. I even uninstalled touch power and standby and it still won't automatically shut off the back light and sleep. Do you or anyone else know what else I can possibly do other than a hard reset?

Kaiser Hibernation Issue?

I just read somewhere on the internet (and now experienced) that the Kaiser/TyTn II goes into a sort of hibernation mode while during a call or, if left for a time interval. The hibernation can only be awakened if you slide out the keyboard or press the "Power Off" button once.
Can you please tell me as of how I may solve this problem?. I am a new user so would appreciate any help (I did search the forum but couldn't find anything)

What is the problem, your asking for help but you didn't outline a problem to help with? The screen turns off on the phone all the time and yes as you said, you just have to tap the power button or slide out the keyboard to get the screen back.
There is no problem with that.

Shouldnt the screen reactivate if I press some other button like the Answer call button or the end call button?.
Or is this supposed to be like this?. But also it shouldnt close in on me like that while during a call because of which I cannot end the call or perform any actions while during a call unless I press the "Power Off" button.
The phone has some buttons on the front of it, you can press the red one to hang up on someone. No need to use the screen, this isn't the iPhone.
I see, thanks alot for the help
To reactivate the screen you have only 2 options either press the power off button or slide the screen. This mandatory designed by HTC
But during your call you can use Advanced Config and disable sleep during call. this will keep the phone active during conversation

Use Advanced Config and disable sleep during call.
Here is the other half of your issue.............
" Hey, everytime I am on a call, my cheek hits the screen and starts a program or hangs up. Whenever I put it to sleep during a call, my face touches the screen during the call and the phone wakes again and starts programs. Is there any way I can make he phone hibernate during a call so this doesn't happen ? "
I would say we are running about 50-50 on these complaints.
