T-Mobile Unlock
This is simple........and it is a T-Mobile Pollicy......
After 90 days into you contract, call T-Mobile, and ask for them to submit an unlock code request for your t-Mobile Phone. They will ask for your phones IMEI Number so make sure you copy that down before you call. they will then submit the request to HTC, and within about a week you will get an e-mail giving you the unlock code.
This worked for me 2 weeks ago in the USA, I also have heard reports from other forums that if you say you have to go on buisness overseas, they will wave the 90 day wait period and submit the request right then and there.

Hey! Everybody know that you can order unlock code from tmobile but if you have a contract with t-mobile. But may be somebody know how to unlock by flashing, means for free.
Please note that the T-mobile Wing IS NOT the HTC Wings.

To anyone who can help me,
I am aware that to recieve the unlock code from AT&T all one has to do is call them up, say you are traveling oversees, and then give them your IMEI number and then you recieve the code. I am wondering, however, if it is possible to enter that number in the phone if it isnt registered or has a plan. What i would like to do is buy this phone, walk out the doors of AT&T and then call them up, unlock the code and insert my SIM, without having to make a plan for the phone with them.
-Thanks to anyone who can provide useful information
Go to the att coperate store, not authorized dealer; buy the tilt at full price. Call them right there and ask for the subsidy unlock code. Normally, the rep will require a fax of the receipt which shows that you pay at full price if you're not att subcriber.
In the worst case, there are some solutions for you:
1, Return the tilt within 30 days and get your full money back.
2. Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361039 to get it unlock by yourself.
BTW, do you really want to buy the phone which is set for "end of life" in December?
Thank you for the information. I was not aware that the tilt would be coming to an end. What would you recomend that would have the... Live TV, WIFI, and other features such as the tilt?

End of Life? Where are you getting that from? Can you post a link with info please
I just got one and used this thread to unlock it myself. Hell with talking to ATT, thats an endless loop that takes like 5 calls and alot of patience.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375583
I would probably unlock the phone myself, but due to the fact that i am not as tech savy i would not want to risk it. Also if you unlock it yourself, doesnt it re-lock with updates, where as the ATT unlock, unlocks it for good.
Everyone was noob at sometimes. It's not hard as you may think. Furthermore, if you can't get it unlock yourself AND att doesn't give out the unlock code then return it and get your full money back within a month. Good deal?
No. Tilt is not a PC so you don't have to worry that it will be re-locked when you upgrade

It simply means att will stop selling Tilt after December 2008.
An att rep I talked with when I called to ask about the Fuze (aka Touch PRO) whom was confirmed this info, too. You can also go to Raphael box in this board and search for Fuze.

OK, noob question....
Is a PUK code the "unlock code" we are talking about here?
The PUK Code for AT&T Customers is available from the AT&T website. Seems like if this is the code, it saves a lot phone calls and pain to just go to the website and get the code.
If this is the code you need to unlock the phone, then I'll post instructions to get to the proper page on the AT&T site.

Nope. A PUK code is required when your SIM card becomes blocked on the network. The most common cause of this is someone activating a PIN code on their SIM, and then either forgetting the code, or entering it incorrectly 3 times. The SIM is then locked (for security purposes) and AT&T will give you a PUK code to unlock it once they verify you are the account holder.
do a search you can unlock it here online by dowloading and flashing a couple things
Fellow XDA-devs,
When I was in US for work I bought myself a T-mobile G1 and used the TM plan of my employer for use in the US. When I moved back (quit my job in an unhappy way), I had an ex-colleague sim unlock my phone via his account number through T-mobile customer support.
After one month the device wouldn't read my Belgian Mobistar SIM-card, and I even tried other providers including T-mobile in the Netherlands.
It took me about 4 months to get the my T-mobile G1 repaired.
Because it's a T-mobile simlocked device and an US device every European repair center denied the repair.
Check this forum post at the Official HTC community forums for more info about the first part of this adventure. Still unanswered
hxxp://community.htc.com/na/htc-forums/android/f/40/t/808.aspx (replace the x's, new forum users can't post urls. Sry mods/admins for the extra work )
The device finally got board swapped when repaired at HTC USA. (Big tnx)
Now that I have my device back it's again SIM locked to T-mobile US and because it's another IMEI code my old unlock code doesn't work anymore.
Since I got back I ain't a T-mobile customer anymore and my ex-colleague also quit I can't get the sim-unlock code.
But to get the code from T-mobile I just need a willing person to provide me with the permission to unlock my phone via his/her account.
Anyone willing to help, please?

Simple. http://www.unlock-tmobileg1.com/
I haven't tried it but it should work.
Already tried several services.
None can provide the code.
All you need to do is provide a Tmobile customer with your phones IMEI. They can contact customer care with that and request the unlock code to be emailed to themselves and then after receiving said email can PM you the information on here. That way you have nothing to do with their account.
The reason I'm posting this is because your wording made it sound like you wanted someone to allow YOU to call in on their account.

If you got your Phone through O2 in the UK, just call them, they don't usually charge for unlocking. Tell them you need to put a work sim in it and it a different provider.
+1 for htcimeiunlock.com
On the site they let you put in your info including carrier, model, and IMEI. They then tell you if they have the unlock code, and if so and how much it costs and how long it will take.
In my case it said 15 minutes and $25. I paid with paypal and about 15 minutes later the unlock code arrived in email. The code worked and my phone is now unlocked.
I will use them in the future.
Worked for me
used the link above and it just worked (no issues, Just be sure you provide the correct IMEI or you may have a problem) use IMEI from the device not your box (I have seen issues where they do not always match).
Cheers
BR
I used the site above but it says it can't find a code when I input my IMEI.
Help please!!!
Will that website provide an unlock code for ANY hd7 that's locked to tmobile? because i'm thinking of getting one to canada and i wont be able to return it so i have to make sure that it can be unlocked!!
I bought mine from a nice guy through Kijiji in Toronto... HTC HD7 (T-Mobile branded) and he even had unlock code. If you post an ad there, I'm sure he'll respond. Make sure you put it in the "want to buy" section and make sure the subject line has HTC HD7 Unlock Code Wanted. It's the least I can do to send you to him as he was very fast and effecient and affordable.

That website didn't work for me. Trying cellunlock.net now, they said they couldn't find a unlock for my imei and they have to contact HTC. Going to take a few days.

I'll give that a try if cellunlock fails. How much was it and did he e-mail the code?
I used www.cellunlocker.net on both my HD7's. codes arrived in about 25-30 mins and only cost 19.99
-oh both are the tmobile branded, tested with other sim cards, and works.
The kijiji dude was $20 but I was also buying the phone from him. He gave me the code on paper. Try the other suggested website first.
I unlocked my HD7 with htcimeiunlock. The phone was locked to o2 Uk. They emailed me the code within 5 minutes!
are y'all that are having problems sure you are entering your imei code right?

same here but on T-Mobile and the code was sent within 2 minutes
O2 did the job in less than a day... FOR FREE...
I have bought my HD7 on PAYG - but I have a Simplicity 10 contract - as someone had suggested earlier - I have used that phone number when requesting the unlock code and in less than 24 hours they sent me the unlock code by email.

Yup, I doubled, tripled, and quadrupled checked.
still no joy here
I just bought a t-mobile branded HD7 from a store in California and have failed on both sites to get an unlock code. Keeps telling me the IMEI code is not recognized. This is a little worrying as I plan to be going back to the UK soon. Also frustrating as others on t mobile seem to have been having success.
Might be able to get it here:
http://www.unlockitnow.com/HTC/HD7.php
This is where i got mine, took about 3 hours to get the code from HTC (used HTC- Worldwide (New Codes))

maybe tmous is trying to keep the phone locked down. If you got in on contract I don't think tmous will give it to you till you have had the phone 60 days. You could call them and tell them you are going overseas on business so you need the sim unlocked for overseas use. That is what I did with my hd2 before I sold it.
Guess I'm the only one with an un-unlockable HD7 in the world. I tried 3 different legit unlock companies and all failed. I called HTC and they said the carrier locks it. I called T-Mobile and spent 2 hours on the phone discussing everything from having to get a temporary pay-as-you-go plan to having to wait 40 days for an unlock code. Now they say if I fax them the receipt they could have it the next day at best.
This would be great except like some of you I bought mine on Kijiji and I doubt I can get a receipt from the seller.
Anyone want to buy my un-unlockable HD7?
Greetings to you all, gurus of the mobile universe.
I just bought a T-Mobile G1 from a friend and it is locked. I bought a code from a guy on ebay and it doesn't work, so he refunded the money.
I still want to unlock it but I don't know anyone who is a Tmo customer (all Sprint in my neck 'o the woods). Is there anyone here willing to file an unlock request for me?
Thanks for help and no thanks for flames.
Cancel this request, as I got impatient and paid a local shop $20 to unlock it for me.
Can just call t-mobile say its an old phone and going out of the country and need unlock code. Dont even need an account with them they ask for a number and give you the code. free
Totally not true.
I tried that route when I bought my Touch Pro II and they flat-out refused to give me a code unless I had been a paying customer for 90 days. I went round and round with the guy on the phone for an hour, talking to two supervisors and they wouldn't budge.
If you aren't a 90+day customer, TMo WILL NOT give you a code.
Is there a way to get unlock code from AT&T if the phone is still under contract.
I read that there are people who successfully got AT&T to provide unlock code while their Note 3 is still under contract.
Some say as long as your account is in good standing and they will give you the code.
Can anyone share which AT&T department/phone number I should talk to?
I have tried calling 611 a few times explaining that I had to travel out of the country for weeks and I have been with AT&T for years and never missed a payment or terminated a contract.
They kept saying they recently changed their unlock policy and referred me to the at&t unlock website to submit a request.
I prefer not to root at the moment so Chainfire's Region unlock is not an option for me.
Thanks in advance.

Normally AT&T will unlock your phone after 3 months of ownership. If root is not an option for you and you can't wait for 3 months, you can buy an unlock code from sites for $25-$30.
